The two battle with strong winds (at least they kept the midgies at bay!) and long hike-a-bike sections before a long rocky descent back to the warm and dry.

Where would you like to see Blake and Neil go for an epic ride? Let us know!
Italian Dolomites- the Sella Ronda and area surrounding Selva di Val Gardena
Bradford
Would love to see them do something like this, but on a fat bike.
Cory Evans fat bikes are fucked up
go to a bike park with kids Walmart bikes
The Epic rides should be 60 minute features! Then they'd truly be epic! My favourite GMBN vids are easily the epic rides...
OH NO not another Blake and Neil EPIC ride...................................................
LOVE IT we need more
Looks amazing and is now added to my bucket list
Awesome stuff Blake,Neil and #GMBN
I miss Scotland so much (based on the south coast for work at the moment), and this was a perfect illustration of everything I missed! Blake’s appropriate happiness at the lack of the fanged clouds, the dreich weather, the epic mountains, the drainage ditches, awesome rock, even those fire road climbs from 10 under the Ben! Much as I hated them several laps in...
Been riding in high heat, this vid was refreshing, and the views were wonderful.
I've walked that path down many times and not once did I think that it would be fun to ride.....respect guys 🤘
Definitely more like this. Thanks for another great film! Excellent work!
Thanks guys, great video. Inspirational!
I love these videos with Blake and Neil. Really cool adventure ride, definitely on my list of adv rides to do. Keep these videos going! 👌🏻👍🏻😎
Knew you guys where filming when we saw you near the ben nevis inn, not finished watching so lets see if you edit the misses out shouting "its blakey" haha great work guys love the content 🤙
Saw them there too!!
Me and the doris at the end there.... we made it on gmbn!! #bucketlist
We spent a bit of time at the Ben Nevis inn that week 😀
@@neildonoghue2399 Unrelated, but what trousers are they you've got on there lol?
Wow! That looked crazy rough on the body! Thanks for sharing such a gorgeous ride!
a mountain bike ride in Scotland is on my bucket list for sure!!!
New subscriber. I absolutely love this channel. I am also a hiker/backpacker as well as an enthusiastic MTBiker and the trail etiquette expressed here makes me proud to be a GMBN fan. Thanks a bunch for these vids. Cheers - 🤘
Music is awesome thanks so much film and edit crew!!
Well except for 4:29, real kill the edit crew moment. And 7:14 was a kill the cameraman moment
Great one, those epic ride videos are always my favourite one's.
Thanks for the great video lads!
More of these and longer guys.... these are awesome. More road trip ones like your last one too.
Wow! You have an astonishing nature there in Scotland!
Great ride guys. Very much enjoyed watching it!
For me Niels always been the best presenter. I love Martyn too of course but I’ve never enjoyed Blakes hyper approach & In this vid Niels subtlety takes the edge off him so i could really enjoy it. Thanks.
You sound really boring like a couple of guys I've ridden with. Rode with them like 2x and never again.
Neil has some inner Finn inside him. Always cool and relaxed and says only what is needed =P
Neil keeps it all grounded and even. Stoic and mature. A great balance on the presenter team.
i happened to be there in a hostel and i went up that hill before breakfast, came back and someone told me that was actually britains highest mountain. i got higher mountains in my literal backyard and that's only a smaller mountain area in my region :D but it was nice, enjoyed it, will come back one day. every scott was so nice and the nature is beautiful.
I love these epic rides in wild places, well done GMBN team. I would have loved to see you drag one of the GCN gravel bikers up there too.
Steve over on EMBN did that recently 👉 embn.me/EMTBvsGravel
Superb mountainbiking skills demoed by Niel & Blake! As for me, practice, practice, practice! More of it, eh!
Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines! #RideOn #KeepBiking
Will we get a bike check of that new Neuron CF?
Epic Ride!
i was watching this video after i got home from work (out all day in the sun doing treework so very tired), and it inspired me to get out on my bike for the first time in a while for an epic ride and i just got back home and turned on my pc to it still paused! thankyou legends
Have you been out on your bike since or was it a one off?
@@tylerdurden4289 I was extremely busy with work at the time of that comment, since then I have been out a lot, even just a quick cruise in the evening makes such a difference to how I feel... Bikes are the best
@@tylerdurden4289 also nice name haha I spent like 10 mins thinking " I recognise this guy". Then I made the connection haha
@@awtyhrh good you made the connection and keep riding... sir 😉
Looks wicked
Great video lads. Props to the camera guy/gal. Still had to ride their gear too.
I did a similar route in the late 80’s. I think we did more carrying and less riding but it was epic.
amazing ride
I've been to the top of Ben Nevis 25 years ago when I was like 15 or something (hiking). Would be so cool to ride my bike there! Great video guys!
Nice ride guys, its really Beautiful up there.
Your contents are great shout out the whole team 💯💯 .
Love the videos
wish i had the ability and fitness to even attempt the first climb !!!!. top effort boys!!!
Well done lads, quality content as usual 😂
Very entertaining to watch, I really enjoy these types of videos you guys make. From the terrain it looks like tire choice was a critical one. What tires and gearing did you both run and what was your feeling on how your choices performed?
Doesn't look like my type of recovery ride, but it sure makes the post-ride pints drop like flies! 👌🏻
Dammit, you guys need to stop doing so many epic rides - my list is getting too long! Adding this to the next trip 😉
I really wish I can explore and ride places that scenic. Riding in Louisiana in United States is not even close to the same universe of the trails you ride😂 It's flat with the best mtb trail here around 120ft in elevation. But I've always wanted to climb a mountain and ride down it, that's what a mountain bike is born for💪
Excellent stuff, makes me want to go out and ride..
Same 😀
That's the plan Dave! Have fun 🤘👊
Sweet!
Great ride: love epic rides. I’d love to see if you could piece something together in Mallorca. Mountain biked there once and felt like there was a lot more the island wanted to give that we never found.
😟 I was hoping for some shots at the pub . Great vid as always though, looks epic
Looks epic fun
Nice ride 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The landscape and terrain in gb/Ireland is crazy beautiful. I've been but didn't have my bike. Would love to go back and actually ride sometime. Great video dudes!
Simply great video. GMBN you'r still welcome in Latvia. Can you make video about MTB tricks you can progress in when you are over 30, 40 or even 50 y.o., please?
Watching these two ride together is great. I want to ride is Scotland now. Where do I sign up? Thanks for a good time.
Makes me want to move to the UK
It would be nice to see a movie for filmmakers related to mtb. How to prepare for such an expedition, some useful tips, useful accessories. Because from my (little) experience I know that it is quite problematic. You make great cycling videos on trips like this one, so I think you've already gained a lot of experience on these topics :D
Best mtb content on youtube
Thanks! 👍
You guys should check out Grizzly Monroe Diarys, hes riding every single Munroe (mountain) in Scotland and is a badass
Nice canyon Blake
I appreciate that I have experienced this place even if in a small way.
Is there a hill in the Shetlands?
4:00 PREMIUM Neil at his best
..
@3:40 it’s cool to see both bikes rocking the same grips, looks epic fun and interesting
9:30 - Fisheye lens has got Neil's front wheel looking positively minuscule.
Great vid. What are those box things on the posts each side of the trail at 3:34?
Wow! I wonder when those stone paths were built?
Magic !! Guys can you ride up & down "Scafell " in the lake District as you have been up " snowden & now Ben Nevis ' great vid !!!!!👍🏼🌲🌲🚵🌲🌲👌🏻
Of all the routes to choose in this area. Oh what you've missed😭.
Blake needs a CushCore tire insert sistem to avoid that sidewall pinch flat and keep the lovely tubeless feeling.
Subbed! What uk trails would you guys recommend for a casual hardtail rider in the low 50's years of age? Not frightened of putting in the graft, did a 22 mile ride in the summer (my backside certainly remembered that the day after) ;) bike is a factory voodoo bokor 2018 (no mods)
I love you guys!! Please reply.( best youtubers ever)
Dont beg for replies... it's repulsive
What's the odds you guys have a gpx file of this route? I would literally drive a night to be there for first light and ride this route. Looks awesome!
Yes, credit to the crew (or was it just one camera man? Lol) more epic rides please.
You should come to aberfoyle the tracks are awesome
Did I actually just hear a Lethal bizzle POW reference on the GMBN channel haha
Guys what Garmin are you use for navigation on your MTB. Thanks
What is the pump you was using after plugging your side wall please?
Tells us how much ascent and how many miles.... Looks epic....!
I’m getting a 2017 giant stance the bike I’m riding now is a 2013 giant boulder the suspension doesn’t work and the brakes don’t work
Love you guys
Keaghan Willamson I was going to get the stance but instead I got a Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt
Carn Dearg is pronounced like "Carn Dirrig", Gaelic never seems to read how you'd say it. Great content, and an absolute beast of a run.
I'd go further and suggest that Dearg is pronounced almost with a 'j' in with the 'd'- so "Carn dJerag". And while I'm being a pedantic ass hat, Blake was pointing at Tower Ridge. Carn Dearg is behind his head... :-)
Well that's English too
@Pete is never wrong It's unphonetic
@Pete is never wrong Oh yeah I didn't mean that Carn Dearg was in English or of English origin. Goes to show its ambiguity as well.
It's really Carn Jerack. You can get away with more of a 'g' sound at the end, but definitely not a 'd' sound at the start of Dearg, it's a 'j' sound.
I just got my first full suspension bike it’s a Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt
Swan, it took me 18 years. I love my full sus, however I bought a plus tired hard tail and I am surprised how often I use it.
@@ronaldtartaglia4459 I'm looking at both, full sus trail and a hardtail carbon with plus sized tires. What do you prefer?
you guys should do this on a 26er
I did that trail running, yeah on MTB it must be harsh and not that fun I guess :D
any chance we can get the GPS files for these awesome rides?
Would have liked to see you get too the top.
whats the device in the middle of their handle bars? GPS power meter ect?
what bum bag/ waist pack is Neil wearing does anyone know? or recommend a decent one?
What's your tire pressures when descending that sort of terrain guys?
Didn't know Scotland had so many valleys and lakes
Good try !!!
i need to ride there. my soul is screaming at me
Ben Lomond would be sick my friends did it this week
I’ve been skiing up Ben Nevis and have always wanted to go mountain biking there but always end up going other places.😔
Have you been skiing up Ben Nevis, or have you been skiing at Nevis Range on Aonach Mor? Whilst it is possible to ski on Ben Nevis you'd have to walk up to ski down as there are no lifts.
Blake where did you get that pocket roll for your bike kit please
Hey Blake remember your van you bought like 3 years ago you posted on you channel
Wait, did we just see Blake riding on clipless pedals? 😱😉
What were those suits you were wearing?
Would be awesome if you could note in the description what bikes you're ridning!
Blake’s on a canyon neuron - www.canyon.com/en-de/mountain-bikes/trail-bikes/neuron/
Neil’s on a nukeproof mega - nukeproof.com/products/mega-275-rs-2019/
Are the trousers Neil wearing the royal storm or race pants?
are those 29ers?
Which pub is the real question. Not many in Fort Bill.
That's supposed to be a hiking path though, right? No problems encountered?
is it a trail bikes?
Sam and Frodo...should have gone Mountainbiking into Mordor!
my back yard, im 15 minutes from fort bill :)
Does your cameraman ride for these shots too?
what bike is Blake riding?
A 29er XC hardtail mtb
Neil should strap his chest harness tighter or simply use a better chest mount, e.g. Stundman Chestmount.
