The game "The Outbound Ghost" had a troubled development with the dev and publisher falling out. You can get a physical copy but that has also been de-listed from the eShop. Gread video, nice to see something different from the norm. The dev has a youtube chanel "Conradical" where he covers the issues with the games development.
This is the reason we need to keep physical media alive.
Yep, it's slowly fading away unfortunately and I know companies try to bring limited prints but they seem to be getting more and more about the $$$
I hope indie game developers, AA game studios, and independent retail stores will save physical media of video games.

Yes, and it was a great metroidvania-bloodborne one. It was a little rough around some parts, but narrative, lore and ambience were top.
I heard something about the government (chinese one?) forcing the company to delist the game prior to a dlc being launched, as they didn't like the topics in it. No idea if is true or not.
I still see copies of Mario 3D All Stars. Good thing it got a physical release.
Yeah same for me in the US but it seems I got a few comments that it's becoming tough in the EU

This format was really enjoyable, I learned a lot and now I can look at my copy of Killer Queen Black with pride
All the Data East games got ditched too, save for a couple that were published by Hamster. All of Johnny Turbo's stuff as well as Golem's got the axe about a month ago. I'm ambivalent about this, because those games were given only baseline emulation quality, without features people had come to expect from the likes of Hamster and M2.

Dodgeball Academia would scratch the itch for Knockout City. Maybe you could do a list of alternate games to get?? I would also enjoy a video of all the games you picked up in the sales and encouraged us to join the ride. Great video BTW proper enjoyed it.

Recently purchased dodgeball academia quite cheap physical had no idea it was delisted, not got round to playing it yet.
@@LoveTwoExplore it’s not delisted I was just saying as a alternative to Knockout City (which is Delisted ). I had the Physical (Dodgeball Academia) I liked how it came with a instruction book. You should definitely give it a whirl I completed it this time last year. Just recently traded it in.

Delisting are a pain and shows the biggest problem with the digital future that's coming sooner rather than later. I never realized Warsaw was delisted but I bought it a while ago.

God, I hope the next-gen Nintendo console isn't a digital only system

Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition was only available for a year before getting delisted once the bedrock version was released. No physical versions were ever made of the original, and it's a shame because the switch edition ran so much better than the bedrock edition

Killer queen had a huge following in arcades with tournaments all over the place, fun and frantic for sure
Yeah I had never seen it before and then I managed to find it on a trip to Chicago and the size of the cabinet for it was crazy
I miss Killer Queen Black's online component. I'll still occasionally boot it up on Switch for offline. There are also still opportunities to play it online using Steam, but it requires a lot more coordination now than it used to of course.

i think delisting dlc's is actually a lot more scummy than delisting a whole game to be honest it reeks of greed.

It also coerces the user to buy sooner than they thought and worst of all they find out it's not availiable through other sources like this video. I never knew there was a nes style Fire Emblem game, but I am glad I own Jump Force cartridge. @@poil8351

Interesting video…I bought Minecraft Story Mode as two separate physical copies (Chapters 1 and 2, I think). Wonder if these are still playable? Will check…once I have a Switch again…😭Switchless in South Africa

Me too, I think I got it in a sale for less than $10 as well which was a bargain, not that it was expensive to begin with
I managed to get a physical copy of God Wars for around $20 when it was announced to be delisted and now it doubled in price already.
There's a lot of games that it is a shame that got delisted, i recall A few Fan service games that i regret not picking up before being delisted were mostly from the publisher "Qureate" catalogue of releases, "massaging freaks" & "Dual princess."
the first title being a rhythm game...and the 2nd title being a sort of deck builder rogue-like tower defense rpg.
Only realised the other day that killer queen black was delisted as i saw the physical on game uk site and it looked awesome. Its a shame i wont be able to play online at all
Defo a reason for keeping physical games going. I have 3D all stars, played galaxy coz I’d never played it and still have Marino 64 & Sunshine to play. What was that about Forhotten Anne, I didn’t understand. I bought this in the eshop sale but have yet to play 😮
I really don't understand why they removed Mario 64. A lot of people would probably still be interested in acquiring it
They shouldn't have removed any of that trilogy!
It's so they can wait 5 years renew the license and charge $80.
I have both Minecraft Story Mode 1 and 2 physical and they work just fine. The content is all on the carts. I can see these becoming a very sought after Switch games in the future.
Im really not going to like when physical games are no longer. I almost sold my PS3 and all the games a while back but glad I decided not to.

Stern Pinball AC/DC was delisted along with the Bundle that included it. I had to order the out of print game to play.
Good to know, may fall into the realm of DLC I guess. Had the suggestion to follow this with DLC that's been delisted
I didn't even know Mario 3D All-Stars and Fire Emblem were not available digitally. Thankfully I bought the physical of Mario when it was released, but I completely forgot about Fire Emblem. It doesn't even make sense to keep these off the eShop. The physicals are already all sold, why wouldn't you want to offer them digitally to sell more?
Sometimes I think Nintendo has some bizarre fear of making more money.

I'm upset that mistover got removed from all digital store fronts. Turn based roguelite strategy rpg. I played the demo and enjoyed it and kept waiting for a sale, but then it got desisted. I wasn't too upset thinking it was only removed from the eshop and I thought I could still get it on steam but no, it was every digital platform :(

The Mario collection getting taken down was the biggest mistake and I stand on that. I need to get a copy off the secondhand market

I downloaded Knockout City looking for all-skill inclusive multiplayer games just a couple of days before the servers shutdown. It was a bummer for sure.
yea occasionally but far too often ;) I collect physical so no big deal but... ok so the physical of super Mario all stars in EU went up like crazy because the games were delisted! Ok now it makes sense...

The Mario 3d collection's limited time availability was an absolute cash grab and an insult to gamers
I picked up Jump Force on Switch from Walmart a couple months ago for like $30. They only had one copy left or I would have grab an extra copy or 2. Its going for a buttload of $ on eBay rn.

While I agree delisting 3DAS on the eshop is kind of stupid, you all had a full year plus to buy a physical or digital copy knowing full well they'd be pulling it. Heck, retailers here were heavily discounting it after Nintendo pulled it because they wanted to purge their remaining inventory. Most stores near me had an excess of copies, so anyone who wanted it could easily buy it. But Fire Emblem was especially annoying, since it didn't get a physical release, and even the 'collectors edition' had a digital code, which is still one of my most hated trends of this generation. Collectors don't want digital codes and people who buy digital games don't want physical collectibles.

I wish we could still buy the old console version of Minecraft. It runs way better than bedrock edititon because it was designed from the ground up to be a version of Minecraft, tailor made for the Switch. The bedrock edition is just an unoptimized port of the mobile version and it has numerous bugs and it doesn’t run as well as the legacy console editions

Everytime I see a video about a company denying the public in legally buying their products I leave a comment about turning to piracy instead, like roms.

Knock Out City suffered just like The Last of Us online, the whole studio would have just been a live service studio if it kept going. I got Super Mario 3-D All-Stars as a physical.

Shit like this is why Piracy exists folks. Like it or not, if it's not for pirates saving and distributing things, all of these would be lost forever in one way or another...minus stuff like Knockout City and Mario 35 which...well...online-only games are prevalent and will never go away.
I don’t really care about delisting games like Mario 64 because these were just ports. If it was remastered then yes. More than likely they’ll be added back to NSO.

1:44 - I like how you completely failed to point out that for those that do manage to find a physical copy of this would only be able to access the furst season pass as the second pass was deliated as well. And on Xbox and Playstation, players are even MORE SOL as they wpuld be limited to JUST the main roster within tbe game on day one.

Yeah I was highlighting the 3D all stars game but that really depends on your region, may be easy for you and me but already comments from people saying they can't find one. Seems the states have a huge amount of them

Mario 3D All-Stars was done a disservice by the limited release. I would love to have the collection if I can ever find a physical copy.
Yeah it seems to be relatively easy to grab in the US but more difficult elsewhere

Lol, it happens on all systems unfortunately. Race games like Forza typically get delisted a couple years after release as they licensed the cars but there's so many physical copies out there no one really notices
Games like Popeye deserve to be removed. Now, if Nintendo would only take a stance against the garbage game publishers putting out the crap knockoffs...

The Switch can definitely empty out way more games than these because my goodness is that shop a massive wasteland of awful games.
It's definetely got a little out of hand with what they allow on the eshop unfortuantely. Especially when you factor in there's a lot of games simply out to con you out of cash

I have literally stepped away from video gaming as a hobby. Pretty much during the entire lifespan of the Switch..... Does nintendo give any announcements of taking these games off or do they just take them off with no warning one day?
Nintendo did for their games, it was explained the day the releases were announced but regarding the other games, that's up to the publishers to let us know, Nintendo wouldn't have the information!
Why would you not give the switch a chance?! I have been playing amazing games for cheap, and I love it! The Switch is the best system to have right now in my opinion, unless you get a nice PC

@theengneer5672 It has nothing to do with the Switch specifically, When I moved around the southeast for about 6 or 7 years, During the lifetime of the Switch I wasn't playing ANY video games.
Some of it had to do with Getting re-acclamated with moving state to state, Other reasons were gaining new outdoor hobbies living in warm, Sunny Florida...... It made me a more physically active outdoorsy person.
I actually only recently picked up a Nintendo Switch Because of moving back north and dealing with an actually cold winter for the 1st time in 7 years.
I know I didn't have to go through explaining all that to you, But was trying to articulate that it was not about the nintendo switch itself, But a big giant shift in my hobbies and life altogether.

If you loose access to games things like xbox game pass will be the only way to play smart. Nintendo would loose most fans if archived games cant be redownloaded.
