Engine 502 First Due Outbuilding Fire *Helmet Cam*

- On Saturday July 3rd Engine 502 and Truck 50, along with mutual aid from Lampeter, Lancaster City, New Danville, and Blue Rock Fire Rescue responded to a report of a outbuilding. Engine 64-2 arrived first and confirmed 2 sheds on fire as well as a fence. Engine 502 arrived just after and laid a supply line and pulled another hand line to extinguish the fire. Other crews arrived and assisted with overhaul. Willow Street Fire Company.
Engine 502 is a 2010 Pierce Arrow XT.

Can always tell a volunteer from a professional by the way they use the Q. The whole purpose is the frequency change, not to be used like an air horn.
That header indicates a well developed fire with risk of spreading….I think. I’m not a firefighter but I learned a little from videos like this. Great video and thank you for the job you do all first responders everywhere. Stay safe and healthy.

If you’re 6 year old continues to want to do this awesome career. I’d suggest getting him involved in an explorer group at a paid department when he gets older. It’s a great way to learn more skills and really learn what it’s all about.
