    • @WillCouch
      @WillCouch  Před 8 měsíci

      More tire pressure means less grip. The tire has less surface touching the ground after a certain psi plus the more loose /soft tire at lower psi can roll around and flex and maintain a good grip into the ground. We had just got a fresh set mounted so they were really high to seat the tire on the wheel but so excited to go drift again just forgot to air them back down haha. More grip defiantly helps. or at least for how fast i wanted to drift it i need it the extra control from lower psi. @@kato9517

    So I want one of these too, I'm just wondering how if reliability of the car is effectes if driven like this or if the car can sustain it since it seems like it was built for this type of driving style .

    • @yawny9710
      @yawny9710 Před 2 lety +11

      If you drive any car like this, it puts a ton of wear and tear on the car. For a daily driver, here and there is fine (handful of times of the lifetime of the car).. Otherwise if you wanted to do this all the time get ready to make repairs. You will go through tires quick and it is harsh on differential, axles, and transmission at the very least. Its the trade of being able to drive a car like this frequently vs a daily. Any car that is driven like this frequently has constant attention, maintenance, and repairs. If you planned on doing this often you would always reinforce many aspects of the car to withstand much more than stock, but at the end of the day you are pushing it resulting in more wear and tear.

    • @Aquaman-01
      @Aquaman-01 Před 2 lety +1

      @@yawny9710 thanks for the insight bro. I know this is a silly dilemma but idk if I want the 86 as a fun weekend car or choose the supra with the zf auto that would be a little bit more practical and refined while still being able to get the tail out in corners from time to time.

    • @yawny9710
      @yawny9710 Před 2 lety +7

      @@Aquaman-01 honestly, for the price the BRZ/GR86 will be more fun. If you are looking g for a quick daily that you don't plan on whipping it or tracking, go Supra if you can afford it. The BRZ 86 will be cheaper to keep up and will kick out easier and have fun with very few mods if any. The BRZ 86 is lighter and cheaper - initial cost and maintenance. I know many people whole actually sold their Supras to get a GR86. Don't get me wrong the Supra is beautiful piece of art and it is quick, but the BRZ 86 platform is made for someone who wants to have fun. The Supra is made for someone who isn't going to whip it from time to time even though you can. I would never whip a Supra if I had one, cost too much if i hit something/damage a body panel as well as maintenance and it's too pretty. Unless you are obsessed with the look of the Supra I'd go BRZ Gr86 platform imo.
      BRZ/GR86 is an affordable drivers car not to say the Supra isn't, it just exspensive. You can always add a supercharger, turbo, or LS swap the BRZ GR86 if you really want that speed. And in terms of daily driveability of the FA24 engine (even stock) is more than enough for daily commuting and having fun in the back roads.

      To add if you try to get one now. They are 39k+, Toyota and Subaru are now only taking orders for 2023, all 2022s are sold or on the way to people who paid. I got my Gr86 4 months ago, it's a great little car. Walked out after taxes for under 32k with weather package.

    • @WillCouch
      @WillCouch  Před 2 lety +2

      It’s hard to say. Drifting is typically not something people can learn instantly. Drifting is undoubtedly one of the most fun things you can go do.
