How much did you buy it for if you don't mind? I bought maybe 2 weeks ago lg c2 65 inch it was 930 bucks but there is an lg g2 77 inch gallery edition and they want 1800 at best buy and while I got really lucky with my c2 I really do want something bigger I just don't know if I should trade it for something that cost double but this tv seems really really nice what do you think if you don't mind

One thing to note, at 29:30 , the 'FPS' refers to 'First Person Shooter' and not 'Frames Per Second' in this instance. This is a subsection to select the type of game you are playing, and I guess the TV optimizes for that style of game.
Just got this a few weeks ago, beautiful TV. My country doesn't have any QD Oled models yet, so this G2 is the best I can get. Overall satisfied with everything except:
-No DTS passtrough on ARC.
-Fussy ARC connection to the AVR, sometimes needs to ON / OFF equipment to handshake
-i still cant get Audio to my AVR (hdmi and Toslink) if playing direct from TV (but devices connected to the TV can get the handshake)
-The cable holder behind is flimsy if you are using thick cables.
-Manual book physical or online is like less info
-The bracket behind could have extend a bit more to do up additional wirings after installation.
But other than that, I love this G2 very much and hope it lasts a long time.

Paul, love the way you present these TV reviews! I have a couple of queries. I am not a gamer, don't watch content in dark environment and barely watch 1-2 movies/week. It's mostly sports/news/TV shows. With this being my use case, in the mid tier segment which of these would you recommend - LG QNED81 65-inch or the Sony X80K 65-inch? In the budget range, would you recommend the LG NanoCell Nano80 or the Sony X75K? Appreciate your thoughts.

Excellent video. The stock wall bracket looks more finicky to install and can possibly chew up the rear plastic. Look how easy it was mounted on a standard VESA mount!
I like the more sturdy thicker and uniform design of this G2 compared to the more fragile C1 and C2. However I do prefer the HDMI port placement of the C2.
I will be stand mounting the G2. Is the official LG G2 stand exactly the same stand as the LG C2 black back edition in terms of quality and finish?

Really love the design and build quality of LG TV's but i don't know why they don't have removable power cables on their high end TVs.Before i got my B9 and CX i had an IPS LCD LG TV from 2016 that was around 500$ and it did have a removable cable and so did the one i had before the 2016 one and it was also an LCD LG back from 2008
Great review as always. I've got a 55" G2 coming at the weekend, being fitted on Monday...can't wait! I've had a 32" LCD Toshiba for 11 years so big upgrade 😁 so I'm anticipating big things of 4K HDR.

I have this in my basket but I have a question. Where I plan to place the tv on the wall my electrical socket is directly behind the tv on the wall. Will I still be able to use the included wall mount and push it back as far as possible. I know it won’t be wall flush

I've still got my C9 at the moment but I'm reluctant to replace it as its still amazing and does all I want. Maybe an upgrade in the next year or so...
Great video. I get my g2 next week and I wonder if you could explain the best way to connect devices. Ive got sky plus, ps5 and blue ray but I want to run the sound through my receiver and 5:1 speakers.
I run all devices into the receiver then connect receiver to tv. Is this the best way or would u run all to tv direct ?

Another great honest review, 10-10. @Paul the tech giant, I asked you this in a previous video but you may not have seen it. I went back looking at a video you posted in 2020 about LG 10. But here's our problem, like yourself we have the Sky Q box 1TB but also have both Nvidia shield boxes the pro and the 2017 version. If I just let our sky Q box plugged in then not a problem absolutely 100% everything works as it should do. Once we connect either Nvidia shield box then we find all our apps on the sky Q box stop working. We still have live TV from sky but my Netflix, Amazon prime, anything getting ready to record and even the items that are already recorded has all stopped working on the sky Q box. I can use my Nvidia shield box to get into the apps and you'd think well what's the problem, it's because let's say we are heading out and want to record something, but trying to explain the problem to you is taking up lots of your time trying to read this. I have changed all the HDMI ports I've tried everything I possibly can but nothing that I do is fixing our issues. I love the picture quality from our LG but now our 2 Nvidia shield boxes are sitting inside a drawer and I'm at my whit's end trying to figure out how to resolve this. I even disconnected our hue sync box for the strip and play bars that are running behind and under the TV to see if this works, unfortunately it didn't work, I can turn off the TV connect everything through the Philips hue sync box and perfect, but my 2 Nvidia shield boxes have to remain in the drawers for this fix. The reason I bought the Nvidia shield pro box, I was thinking maybe the older box isn't compatible with the newer LG C1, I was wrong. Can you give me any advice on how I may sort this out. Man when you said the LG C1 was a great TV I went and bought it. It is the best TV we have ever own. This Nvidia shield box problem is leaving a sour taste in my mouth, I'm wondering if you don't know maybe you could reach out to the viewers of your 1st class CZcams channel for help on my behalf. Sorry again about the length of this but I wanted you to have all the facts. Thank you for all the great tip's and help.

@@TheTechGiantCZcams I tried it out in the shop and thought it was really good, that was before the update though. Apparently its the same screen as the Sony A95k but the Sony has efficient cooling so will go brighter. I've opted for the G2 though because its thinner and will look better mounted flat to my living room wall
im looking to purchase a g2 in a few weeks to replace an existing Samsung 4K tv which is wall mounted. In your video the G2 came with a hard wired power supply? As I already have power going through the wall is it possible to use my existing Samsung power cable?

The G2 has better brightness over the G1, but it all depends on what the price difference is to whether it's worth paying extra for.

Had a CX 55, which I planned to replace in 2023. However, due to moving overseas, not long ago I got a G2 65 as in Canada we had constant price drops for weeks on it. What can I say, I've fallen in love again and zero regrets. 😆#walletcriesabit

I have been waiting for this. Right out of the box the tv screamed of quality build unlike another company I won't even mention. The build quality is top notch and let me say this and that is LG does NOT need to add QD's to their OLED line because the colors just pop. The G2 is a magnificent tv and I can't wait to see more of your videos on it Paul. Excellent video.
The build quality is DEFINITELY better than my Samsung S95B
But the G2 got beat in every catagory by the S95B in RTings comparison.
Look at Chris Culture's video comparing the Samsung S95b and the LG g2. The numbers may be important in some cases but watching both tvs side by side tells a different story. Both tvs have wonderful pictures.

Not sure how far it extends out, but you can use other brackets if you wish, just like i did in this video.

Great tv but the lack of a removable power cable has stopped me from buying it.
I have trunking in my wall to hide the cables but can't fit the 3 pin plug down.
I was told by lg customer service that if I removed the plug and then fitted a new one I would void the warranty.

Please can you do me a favour? If you do a video with gaming, please disable HDR on your console and show what SDR gaming looks like, as apparently it's quite dim, especially compared to the S95B, but HDR gaming is good.

it's not all about the brightness of the display, Samsung also has a problem with the quality of the OLED panel, there are many complaints, but that's why LG improved the quality of the production and the quality of the OLED panel itself.

If I can get a 77" LG C1 (costco) for almost half the price of the 77" LG G2 (richer sounds) would you recommend going that route? Surely the increased brightness cannot be worth almost double?

C1 is good value but it is not even close to looking like a G2. Even the C2 looks much worse than G2. G series is LGs consumer high-end line. C series is pretty much mid-end at this point. G series gets all the bells and whistles; G2 has Evo, EX and heatsink, for example. Much brighter than C1 and C2.

I'm guessing direct comparison to G2 C2 etc will be very popular. It's loads cheaper than g2 right now. Dynamic mode still hits close to 1400 nits & can be fairly accurate if u mess with white balance.. Happy to share settings when u have it up & running. Otherwise filmmaker/movie mode r great but only do 1000nits but are more accurate.
Before it broke I Compare it to my Galaxy S22 Ultra. U could do the same with u r iPhone. The phone peak highlights are insane. Oled has long way to go to have amazing hdr. My phone is obviously tiny but the highlights are so amazing while maintaining detail. So basically need a phone screen in 65" & above 🤣🤣🤣
Still undecided between this and s95b,have the cx,coke Black Friday I’ll choose,

Same, both are good TVs but if you like vivid colors I don't think WOLED can compete. The color brightness is like double. S95B have insanely good relfection handling on top and QD-OLED has better viewing angles than WOLED too. I will only buy G2 if it's priced lower than S95B for sure.

I bought a 65" G2 from John Lewis 2 weeks ago. Beautiful TV but it has horrible background coil whine in standard and eco picture modes depending on the image being shown. It is very annoying and noticeable at low volumes. I have replacement coming next week and many others have reported the issue on Reddit. It would be nice to know if there are any good ones out there.
Can't say i have noticed any noises with mine yet, but that could be down to not having the volume low enough. I will have to check it out.

This is my first 4K TV. How is your Sky UHD and HD quality? Mine is shockingly bad. UHD is poor and looks like HD on my old HD TV. For normal HD content I have to change the Sky Q resolution to 1080p and let the TV upscale but even that is poor. The Sky Q was much better with my old Samsung C8000 from 2011. I called Sky and they said it is what it is! I'm wondering if its my Sky Q box. The G2 in built apps pictures look amazing though.
my g2 65" has this coil whine as well. whistling noise from top right corner, mostly audible certain scenes with dolbi vision/hdr content with bright highlights. hoping for a solution of this issue, as otherwise very enjoyable tv.
@@Adam-lv4pm I don't seem to get it in DV or HDR but HD. The replacement from John Lewis today had exactly the same problem so I asked them to put the original one back up because it had all my settings. They said I could try a third but not sure if I could be bothered. I'm sure I read somewhere that the GX had a similar issue which was resolved with a software update. I'll see if I can get JL to escalate this through the LG rep I spoke to when I bought the TV.
On the Sky picture quality, a sky engineer came out yesterday who saw for their own eyes that the HD was clearer than their UHD. New box was exactly the same! I think their UHD transmission and compression is likely the reason for the poor picture quality.

Is there a way that you could compare the Sony a80k against the lg c2 and lg b2?
Unfortunately I've already tested the B2 and C2 and have since gone back.

No one talks about that
It's as good as any other. Plus it actually is designed to tuck into the back of the TV, so the TV is completely flat against the wall. Any other bracket will always have a gap, no matter how flat they say it will sit.

Slightly better highlights, peace of mind better because of heatsink and looks cooler when wall mounted compared to c2
It's way better then the c1 and c2 it has a better heat sink which allows it to get brighter and the colors are more accurate

Paul, please help! I've looked EVERYWHERE for a solution with no luck. My C1's audio goes out for 3 secs at random times when I'm playing games on my PS5. It's doing it with multiple games. I've tried 3 different brand new hdmi cables. I have everything set up correctly. I'm at my wits end mate 😫

Have you tested the PS5 with another TV to rule out the PS5 as the problem?

ARC stands for Audio Return Channel.
It allows you to send audio from the TV back to say a sound bar.

Rechargable remotes are stupid. Just use rechargable AA batteries and you are sorted, and when the batteries die at the end of its recharge cycle lifetime you can replace them. Something you cannot do with fixed lithium-ion batterypacks in modern equipment these days.
Can you do more budget friendly tvs like hisense for us poor people 😢
I have requested to test out some more wallet friendly TVs, but I'm just waiting to see if I get sent any to test.

Hello, im in fight between C2 Evo and S95B??? What is better
C2 is going to be forsurs and I had the s95b for two weeks it came bent and the colors on the s95b are bad it has to much white makes colors in dark scenes look washed out
