    Whst most people forget is oculus specs is fir oculus games that you can buy on their storefront. Now... Games with VR added that are not native rift game (mist racing sims for example) may require much more.

      +Paul LastLevelTech 2 Titan Xs would be nice I have to make do with just a single 980ti dcu3 strix...

    I am looking to build a new rig for VR gaming and gaming in general. I would also use it for the Adobe suite and playing around with Blender and other software like those. Your build looks perfect. My questions atr 1. How much cash total did you spend on this build and 2. How many years do you think you will get out of it before you upgrade?

    Jeez Paul. A Titan x? You could've made this video on a slight budget. Maybe a gtx 980ti. It's half as expensive and you only lose a few frames. And 32 gigs of ram is unnecessary.

      +Paul LastLevelTech , I'll have to come over to yours sometime and see the full setup for myself.

    3930K to a 5930K doesn't seem a big update if it was 5960X yeah 2 extra cores.

      You'd be surprised, also the newer manufacturing process allows for more overclocking.
      This is my gaming rig that has been updated from a quad core 3770k so quite a big jump.

      +Paul LastLevelTech it's slightly quicker core4core but not mind blowing difference.

    I think is ridiculous to spend money in 2 titan X when the new pascal chips are coming for VR

    • @diddler1979
      @diddler1979  Před 8 lety

      You may well be right but given its the first generation move to HBM memory, I'm going to take a chance to wait for the generation past Pascal.

    • @Xbot4Life
      @Xbot4Life Před 8 lety

      Pascal is just green version if fury x so it's not like it's new.

      +Paul LastLevelTech Good move, I bought some 980 ti's to wait until the proper HBM2 Pascal comes out.
