    I wish it had a little less bezel. The bezel add just enough fat to cover the vents in my particular vehicle

    The manufacturers really need to reduce the size of the bezel and up the resolution.

    1280 x 720 is very low resolution these days for an 11" screen. It's not even FULL HD! These days we're used to retina and 2x resolution screens - this screen would look very low resolution if you're used to using an iPad.

      I have the newest snapdragon 11.6 single din currently in my Restomod but I own a couple more. I prefer the older UI for the translucent widgets. If buying today I would snatch up the one currently listed as the newest model. It is 8gb/128gb 11.6 single din on their website. Truth be told, I use novalauncher mostly so the UI is not that critical. I also have their reverse cams and the add on dvd rom.

      @AbstractDreamz Před 2 lety

      @@Chozen1278_Gaming if you have a modern car, they sell canbus harnesses that will enable plug and play.
      Also careful, there are two models on amazon. Go to the Joying amazon store. Click the top banner with the new models. The the model on the right button with the maps widget is what I believe to be the newest one.
      If you hate it, amazon has a good return policy.

    • @AbstractDreamz
      @AbstractDreamz Před 2 lety +1

      @@Chozen1278_Gaming also, if you are running car audio amps, buy a good processor with optical inputs. Admittedly, the joying output is not the best. Where it shines is the ability to output amazing digital audio via coax digital or toslink digital outputs. Save 1070 bucks on the head unit and spend it on a great processor. That is the magic of Joying.

  • @Wichard1969
    @Wichard1969 Před 2 lety +1

    Great headunit. The main sale argument is the major downside of this product. 11" screen with the same resolution of 9" or even 7" units. Too low resolution for the size, wash out colors. A pity. Not to mention the huge bezel. very outdated look, as well. Old technology for XXI century. C'mon Alpine you can do more!

      @@Chris-hw4mq Joying is an up and coming brand but the functionality of having android built in is far superior to carplay or android auto. These traditional receiver manufacturers still charge overpriced outdated specs. Atoto S8 Ultra Plus, runs on Android, install any apps you want. Don't care about DAC or Sound Quality, because it's 10.1" with toslink digital output, my DSP is doing all the work. If it breaks, I'll get a second one and still breakeven.
