Placed my order for the 9… but as discussed with the dealer I can swap to the 11 when it comes in August if I change my mind… had two pieces of cardboard with the dimensions of both in the dash….can’t help thinking the 11 is for a sprinter cab…. Help me decide!,,
Essentially they are identical other than screen size. I thought the 11 might be too big, but it fits perfect. I think I made the right choice. It’s great for watching films on and things when parked up and huge sat nav display
I’ve been in a 6.1 over the weekend and I thought if I got one, I would definitely want to have the Halo in it. The T6.1 does have apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but the screen is just so small. Maybe because I’m used to this one 😁
Just ordered a Halo 11 and speaker package from dream ice thanks to this video. Do you have the playstation installed in your van or is it just the app?
Unfortunately it’s the same with anything, if they want it, they will get it. I was told by 3 separate suppliers, that headunits don’t get stolen anymore 🤷🏻♂️ Having it lower on dash makes it also less obvious.
Ha ha, took me a while. Go to setup on headunit, then system, then vehicle types for phone link and change steering wheel to right. Turn unit off and on and it will have changed
Great review, got many of my doubts solved! Im hoping in getting one for myself soon. Where do you get the proper alpine interface to retain the sensors and backup camera? got any specific model for the connections VW uses?
Circa £1k. However check with the supplier what is actually included in the package. Some just provide unit and some include vehicle specific wiring harness and other parts
Hi can you tell me what the WiFi is for on the alpine. I asked the technical department and they didn't answer said it was for something else .It seemed to be a secret. I have Android and it isn't wireless on this model .I want a wireless dongle thing for this any ideas for best models.

You will not be disappointed, it's a great unit. The Playstation is under the rear seat and removed when i'm not going to be using it

I got mine from www.dream-ice.co.uk Alpine make a specific interface to “talk” to the VW’s 👍

I bought them from Dream Ice along with the ibus 2.1 The video is not put together yet, but I shot it when I did it. I will do it soon 👍
