- Just a side by side comparison of a Honda Ruckus and a Chinese 150cc Chinese ruckus knockoff clone. 150cc with a gy06 motor. Wish we had a Yamaha zuma to compare too.

I don't care what some people think, scooters look fun as crap to drive/own
They are . I've had motorcycles , well dirt bikes. The ruckus is just as fun or more fun . Like for instance I had to go easy on the throttle of my yz450 , less easy on my rmz250 and full throttle all the damm time on the ruckus which is so much fun
I always laugh when someone asks about any problems with a scooter that has 600 miles on it . That question needs to be asked at 26,000 miles .
Brits for Trump my ruckus has 28'670 km on his back and i never had any problems only onetime i replacet the front fork with about 27'000km
It's not a Chinese Ruckus, it's a Chuckus!
Boa tarde,
Aqui no Brasil não tem essas peças. Como eu Fasso para compra, quer o trazer isso para o Rio de Janeiro.
Alguém sabe me dizer se tem algum site ou Peças aqui no Brasil
lol
"Smells like Harbor Freight." lol!
Yes Harbor Freight does have a unique smell that lingers! Thanks for watching my video about Honda Ruckus Vs Chinese 150cc Ruckus Clone Ruckus Scooter Knockoff
The smell of junk tools!
I could almost smell the store when he said that lol it's a smell you will never forget.
As a former owner of a Chinese 150 cc scoot, it was reliable until the headlight bulb burned out the 2nd week of ownership. Dealer could not get bulb but found a german bulb that fit...it was good for the 3 years I owned it. At a year into it, it started eating belts, at $45 each, and had to wait for it to be shipped from China. After the 2nd belt went, I installed the third and sold it. The biggest problem with Chinese scoots is you need to be a mechanic so you can keep them up and running. When I bought mine, there was a repair shop in my town and one 80 miles away. When I sold it there was no shop in my state that serviced them!
I'd bet the big corporations that own Honda, Yamaha, et al had a little something to do with that. Wink wink
I just feel like people are retarded And stupid they buy a cheap scooter for $400 or $200 on craigslist or even $1000 on the official websites like Amazon whoever else is selling these type of bikes and they wonder why would he just get it it breaks down .? Lol people are just funny to me too funny
@@TrollsExposed351 Yep, they got no reason to complain! They bought someone’s POS!
thanks for the vid ive always wondered how they look side by side.
The Chinese gy6 150cc is bullet proof.ive ran my clone thousand and thousands of miles and I've only had to replace the belt and a fuel lines.
The Chinese clone should be called "the Cluckus"
I thought it was Chuckus
That Honda ruckus has a really cool rear rack
Does anybody know where I can find the rear rack mounted on the Honda Ruckus?
Cristian Guzman Just have to look around a lot on the Internet there may be a company that offers it and then again you may have to find someone that can fabricate it for you custom,,, I’m going to buy a standard seat rack frame actually two of them and have it chopped and extended and re-welded so I can have a longer thicker and more comfortable seat I can’t stand my seat on a long trip,,, ironic we’re talking about the ruckus I just changed my battery today I got it through Walmart.com and I have to admit they are a pain to change easy to get to but very tedious to bolt them up I’m getting ready to go outside after I rest a little bit and do my first oil change I bought it brand new it’s a 2017 and I’ve only got 199 miles on it I probably should’ve did the oil change at 100 miles however I think it will be fine,,, i’m just going to run full synthetic 10W-30 motor oil in it and I’m going to take the oil screen off and clean it as well,,, I had to check the tires too the front tires at 14 psi the back tire might be at 10 that’s not good at all,,,I’m going to put 20 pounds like Honda says to however other folks say put 30 psi in them,,,I may put 25psi to play it safe,,,they are lotta fun very enjoyable however I just don’t seem to have the time to play with it like I thought I would I’m either at work or asleep,,, lol,,,that being said I try to enjoy it as much as I can,,, I figured when I bought it if gas ever goes to high and no one can afford to buy it I can still get around on that ruckus because they’re so cheap on gas and they are a lot of fun everyone wants to know what it is where I got it ask me all kinds of stuff about it they wanna know all about it lotta fun
@@william38022 Thank you so much for all these information. First time I saw them was back in 2006. Ever since I was hooked to it. Always putting it to the side. Taking care of family and friends. To make my story short I was very blessed and able to buy two Honda Ruckus for a very reasonable price. I haven't had a chance to pick them up yet, but I am glad you provided me with some much information. Thank you so much!
I don't understand why they quit making the Big Ruckus. I liked almost everything about it, especially the back rest.
Reality is you get what you pay for in life my Honda motorcycle s 26 yrs old admittedly bigger engine but rides well , starts first time , will the Chinese copy be around for 26 yrs , but it all looks fun only wish we had the American weather in UK , nice video
I am 5‘10“ and I weigh 300 pounds and I’m over 50 years old,,,, I’m going to buy a Honda ruckus. I may end up with something a little bigger in the Honda line up later on either they’re PCX150 scooter or the Honda helix however I have the ruckus bug for now,,, well I bought the ruckus and I still own it and I really like it it’s a lot of fun the only problem is the seat is not long enough or thick enough I may upgrade the seat and possibly put some foot pegs for longer rides
william foreman 5’8”, 56 years old, 260+ weights, got a Ruckus last year, 800 miles on it. Would have more mileage on it but hurt myself hitting the dirt pothole bigger than my tire.
Check out a Honda tw200
I have one of those 150cc look alike ruckus and it run great 50+ . I had some problems when I first got it. But adjusted the valves and timing and now it's great I love it - for only $1000 with shipping.
Definitely 8 yrs old haha... Hope your still up and running with us friend🙋👍
this guy has a radio voice
The harbor freight smell goes away after a couple thousand miles (for me at least). Nice video man
Nice review of a 150 mystery bike that looks vaguely like a ruckus. Good to know that it smells like Harbor Freight so we'll all know how to identify it. Does it still run? can you do a follow up review?
what do you have mounted on the right handle bar. Is that a gps if so what kind.
Awesome you might see me riding from east lyme to hartford on nice days!
the camera distortion is very funny in this vid
Nice video. Please do a follow up review of more scooters with your friends. Thanks
cool! I worked at Millstone for a while. I LOVE Niantic (and scooters too)
Billy, did you replace the bulky and poor flowing stock airbox, and put the UNI air filter and re-jet up to 135 main 38 pilot? I have that same exhaust on my DAZON buggy w the GY6 150.
Where did you get the storage bag thats mounted under the Ruckus seat?
I liked your video, thanks.
Dan, Where did you get the rack on the Honda?
What kind of rack is on the back of your Ruckus and where did you get it?
Someone gave me one for free and it took very little to get it in perfect running condition it’s great
Hi from Portugal.
Great machine your Honda Zoomer/Ruckus,I´ve just bought one a week ago,I wonder where can I buy a Rack like yours.
Thank you for your video
Best Regards
some assembly was required, it was easy mainly you had to install the handle bars!
Danny Rossa, any info on the Chinese brand name(s) or distributors? Tao Tao maybe? I've seen Tao Tao 50cc for $1.5K that look just like the 150 in this video.
I like chinese rukus
Thank You Dan for the inf. I found one on auto part 2000. $76.00 with s&h. The rack is smaller but will work for me. I just got a 2013 Ruckus. I really like it gos 45 on the flat. This is my 2nd. honda you cant kill EM!!!. RON
Where do you buy these from??
He says it smells like Harbor Freight! HAHaha! XD
Where can i get the rack for the honda ruckus?
Buy the Honda! That and Yamaha are reliable for the long run! That Chinese made scooter will be found on craigslist cheap after one year!
And I will buy and drive as cheap as possible
The Chinese scooters have came a long ways in the last few years the quality has really improved way better than before when they were really cheap junk but i own two coolester atv and the gy6s on them are bullit prof.
You haven't looked on Craigslist lately have u?
I've owned 4 scoots. Nothing beats the two Burgman's I've owned. A 400 a number of years ago, and now the 650 Burgman Executive. If you're looking for something to take you across the State or country, the 650 is hard to beat... Those little scoots are fun for short in town rides. Far too slow for much else..
Burgerman isn't that made by Suzuki,do you know that Suzuki searched out"Kymco"to manufacture one of their most recent motorcycle engines also Kymco developed two BMW motorcycle engines for BMW! Go Kymco!! No other scooter brand can attest to that High scale claim.
MrPolymers untill the cvt blows up no thanks only honda silverwing 600 for me
Can you still get these insured ?
I was looking into a ruckus, and like the looks of the clone...was it a kit? rather like the idea of piecing one together over time.
I love the smell of Harbor Freight in the morning! (it's that smell, that Harbor Freight smell !)
I got mine on E BAY it is made by chase harper specifically for the honda ruckus!
Hello. where did u get the Chinese version
Harbor Freight aroma? As I remember it: Pressed cardboard with a bit of gear oil shaded with a metallic tang along with overtones of print ink and heated plastic and an after smell? of that electrical smell of ozone..... Something like that. Though some may be more attuned to the ink, cardboard and plastic that smells like it is not done turning into more of a solid. Or the heated plastic and ozone smell like a burned out vacuum cleaner motor with a squirt of 3 in One oil in an old dusty cardboard box. Yeah... something like that.... Weird.. like describing the floral, fruity and bitterness of wine. But it depends on where you are standing at the HF store. Over by the wheels for carts & wheel barrows and such, the smell of rubber is definitely there but it is like there is something off and not quite right about it that I can't quite put my finger on. OK maybe that was not so helpful.
this is the Chinese bike aroma
Harbor Freight smells like rubber. I think if is due to the smell of new rubber, . I brought a new trailer from Lowes a few months ago and even though I keep it outside , I can still smell the new rubber smell from the tires on it when I get close to the trailer.
The video guy was trying to disrespect Harbor Freight for its made in China stuff, Next time you by a 49.00 dollar pair of 5 inch pliers from Home Depot, look at the label and see where it was made at. Yes China.
Harbor freight sells the same thing for 3.99.
LoL. Loosen the fuel floater. I recommend the tools from Harbor Freight.
They got 2018 ruckus 50cc now at whole sale
Billy actually lowered the seat on the Chinese Knockoff ruckus. The knockoff does ride a lot higher than the stock honda ruckus!
Thanks for watching!
The Burman scooters are pretty awesome! Thanks for watching!
hey i ride in CT, where you guys ride around at?
What site did you purchase your ruckus clone from
anyone know where i can get a battery cover for my ruckus clone?
the different s is the Honda will run and not fall apart!
My friends knockoff off ruckus in the video came with a manufactures certificate of origin and has a vin # you can register it. When buying any scooter make sure you get a title or a manufactures certificate of origin.
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
i just walked into harbor frieght to return something tonight and when i walked in i thought cancer toxic plastic n chemicals ,get out soon!
Were did u by the 150cc Honda Ruckus?
Hahaha wth at 2:05 is he holding his leg!!! :o
I was going to buy a scooter till I saw that
Mario Mariscal LOL
no way thats a chick
Robert Triumphs it’s his chick if you watch The Whole video it shows them talking to them
The exhaust pipe looks cool & sounds good...I noticed very little performance gain. Thanks for watching!
great lookin
Do they have a website
so it looks like the china-ruckus has a lower seat frame but the actual seat its self looks to be about the same height, yeah?
Have you or Billy been able to come up with a make and model for that "chuckus"? I have been searching high and low for body parts online and I have had no luck.
We have not sorry!
Looks like Billy had too many beers back in the 70's
Any legal requirements to ride a 50cc or a 150cc in CT?
The Honda Ruckus smells like honda. The Chinese Ruckus smells like Harbor Freight. I love it.
where did he order his Chinese scooter??
Hey man Your in CT!?! I'm well known in New Haven and would love for you to review my Tomos Nitro, it was the rare model shipped stock with a SYM GY6 racing B-case. They no longer make the bike and is a dying rare breed. The funny part is my motor is worth more than a Ruckus now, I should stop daily riding it but its just too fun. I modded it with bigger lighter wheels and its also geared to 91mph at 13,000 RPM.
I have a 2009 Tomas Nitro. I am about to sell it for scrap because one of the valve seats/sleeves is working its way out and the valve is sticking. The cylinder head is stamped SYM with S1N B stamped below that. The engine is stamped XS1P570MJ on the lower part of the case. Should I be thinking twice about letting this scooter go?
I like the Chinese version more
Your camera is crazy
where did he get the chinese version? I can't find one under 1,800$ :/
Curious, how does the Honda Elite 110 compare to the Chinese 150 GY6 performance wise?
HEHALOL I know this is an old behind message, but obviously the 150 Outperform 110 cc Scooter I know they say if you put an 80 kit 150 it will out run the 150 Lol because obviously different because that’s a 50 it’s much lighter than both of the bikes because they’re bigger like 110 Might use the same fork as the 50 but it’s a much more bigger bike same as the other one so since it’s lighter in their Beaufort strokes and they both have heavy engines most likely Whale out beat the 110 because I believe the 150 goes about 60 or 70 especially if it’s a light Ryder The other one unfortunately most likely will go 45 or 43 in speed and most likely slower than that if you’re a heavy person the 50 will go 35 to 25 but like I said if you put a lot of performance in the engine like I’m doing to my bike it should reach about 90 or 100 mph people say it’s impossible and people with four strokes like to exaggerate but it’s not an exaggeration if you put really expensive quality parts in your bike light in the fly wheel by the final gear drive for your bike do everything you have to do to upgrade the engine it will reach those speed especially if you are a light rider to begin with it’s all about making a bike as light as possible and making the engine as powerful as possible it will reach those beadsl if you put really expensive quality parts in your bike light in the fly wheel by the final gear drive for your bike do everything you have to do to upgrade the engine it will reach those speed especially if you are a light rider to begin with it’s all about making a bike as light as possible and making the engine as powerful as possible it will reach those These Chinese scooters all they do is put the big bore kit in the bike and that’s it they don’t do the final gear drive they don’t change the crankshaft they don’t do all of that to increase the speed of their bike to reach ridiculous speed unfortunately do you think it’s Chinese made by so you don’t want to do that which I understand completely understandable ,;(
where can i get a 150cc ruckus clone??? can only find a 50cc... i need something lil faster then 30mph...
Haha..lol. The smell is so true...i think its all chinese scoots though not just the chukus. Great video.
whats the make and model of the generic ruckus?
lilrick98 icebear and tautau both make them. You can find them unbranded but it's the same bike. They just slap a different companies name on them. I got a icebear maddog and it's awesome.
2017 PEACE SPORTS TPGS 824 RUCKUS CLONE
where did you order for $1000 shipped to the door?
Bro I'm from Connecticut that's cool man
Cool! To cold to be riding them today!
Yea I know I have a taotao 50 cc scooter I can't wait for the summer
Where would you get on?? The 150cc Chinese ruckus that is!
Lol China ruckus I have one so many damn problems. 185miles only and transmission is out
where did you get the luggage rack for your ruckus?
+jack richard cycleracks.com is where i got my rack
Where do u buy a China ruckus tho
I live in ct too!
I wish Honda made a 125 Ruckus.
Question: I'm getting myself a rowdy 150 cc scooter, does anybody knew if these have any issues with wobble?
***** thanks!
smells like harbor freight... best comment ever
how to buy in taiwan?
Need a 150 Ruckus, in original frame
personally I would like to see more info on this Ruckus Copycat-Who is the maker? What is it called?[Model]?????
Does the Ruckus Clone require a license plate? Thanks
I have one and yes for licence plate and street legal so u need insurance
where can you get the clone from? i love the ruckus but i cant afford, and id like the 150cc.
kody neeb don't think about it, it's not reliable
It isn't worth it, if you want a ruckus but can't afford a new one get a used one. It is made by Honda so unless the previous user beat it with a baseball bat it will probably be okay (obviously don't just buy anything that was exaggerated) You can buy a used Ruckus for just over a thousand dollars, the clone will probably be about the same if not cheaper.
kody neeb bull its very worth it......if u familiarize yourself with it you shouldn't have a problem.....i have one with 8k miles no issues whatso ever......
I doubt there's such a thing as Chinese Ruckus. Those type of Chinese scooters have been around since 2004. It's Honda that copied it except they use high quality parts.
Except I'm pretty sure the year 2002 came BEFORE the year 2004, but I'm no genious
Ruckus has been sold in the U.S. from 2003 and other parts of the world from 2001.
@@jayksaul1599 LOL!Come on people don't be so Lazy do your research & yes 2002 was born before 2004, Agh & again LOL!
Look at the welds on the Chinese one lol
"smells like Harbor Freight" doesn't help those of us that have never been to a Harbor Freight
Your missing out. It will change your life.
+DaBrute don't buy anything that might be used as a bench vise as the metal is crap. cheap casting of metal parts so don't do it.
The Chinese ruckus is a ruckus that can't get registered or tagged. You can swap a gy6 engine in a ruckus and that thing will be crazy fast.
I am from new london thinking of getting a scooter ur friend ever been pull over because the scooter is over 50cc with no plates?
Nope he has never been pulled over on his scooter
+Danny Rossa okay cool thanks
ok so where do we get the cheap one from
changingfaces777 search taobao
Danny Rossa
The harbor freight comment. Lmao.
I am pretty sure my rokus is Chinese there's no label on it but it's got a really nice engine in it not a 150 CC but it's got 50 CC it's not a cheap engine I don't even know what I have the engine barely has a brand goes 40mph tho haha handles great and is a 2020 model
Where did he get the Ruckus knockoff online? I'm trying to get one cheap online.
It isn't worth it. you can get a used ruckus for about the same price and it will be better in just about every way, except in speed.
@@SirNarax I'd buy Honda's all day long for $1,000. You just show them too me. Like I'd borrow $$$ and and open a dealership for and only sell them if I could buy the Ruckus for $1,000 in original condition. You're talking out of your à$$.
Yeah but you might can buy a Honda ruckus on craigslist or Facebook market for about 500 bucks the original Honda or 1000 but it’s gonna take a lot of work to conversion to change it to the Chinese in June I’d rather just buy a Chinese bike by all the original Rockies parts for it because practically they’re the same exact bike like it’s way more cheaper to do that in my humble opinion because like you said you can buy a real ruckus for like fucking the fraction of the price I’d rather just buy a cheap Honda knock off for 300 or 200 bucks Then buy the original and spend about 1000 bucks on both of them in Irvine mechanically inclined and if I’m mechanically inclined just manipulate all the parts on the knock off paint the bike the same color as the original in there you go
Real material on the ruckus reliability too Chinese don't last long bit faster but More problems
The smell is the oil they put on the parts before shipping so the salt water doesn't tear it up.... Honda has the money to take care of that smell before selling product.... I work at hft, I know what you're talking about.
