- “The Jerrick Trap” might be one of my top 5 fave Rick and Morty adventures of all time. No disrespect to last week’s premiere episode, but ep 2 actually felt way more like a season kick-off to me. Although it was kind of light on the easter eggs this time around, it went heavy on the character analysis, killer voice acting, and father-son-in-law bonding. Is it just me but isn't it a bit ironic that in community series 4 the one where they kicked Dan Harmon out, there was a freaky Friday episode and now that Justin was kicked out theres another freaky Friday episode. Coincidence I think so
I don’t even know that Dan Harmon was kicked out !
4:14 he name drops Operation Phoenix at the end of that episode and recalls it in the death crystal episode saying he took his clones offline a couple seasons ago
So far nobody has mentioned that the weapon tossed at Rick/Jerry in the bar fight is a "Glave" from the 80's movie "Krull"

Another episode Jerry wrote a letter was when Morty went back to the Cronenberg World in S6E1 and Jerry stoled all his stuff
Honestly Morty is my favorite character at this point
I havent heard anybody say its a reference to the Ghostbusters helmet at all. Its reference is to a suicide helmet that was going around online for awhile. It was literally a strainer with shotgun shells looking just like that.
The burgers and fries naming convention has me rolling lmao I don’t watch any R&M but I love watching these breakdowns!! Haha

When i first saw that helmet, i thought it was a morbid reference to a real-life "s**cide helmet" made by someone who created it to shoot 6 shotgun shells into the head simultaneously. (And sadly used it successfully) Definitely seemed on-par with Rick's depression.
im starting to notice that season 7 seems to be subtlety retreading past episodes. They made it obvious with the clipshow episode but its interesting how many episodes this season parallel older episodes.
Yeah this second season was crazy!! 🤯
The hole in chuckslie is a dragon ball reference where goku donuts king piccolo with his head

This was such a cute episode, I love when Rick and Jerry bond.
I thought the stomach hole was a reference to Death Becomes Her.

You always tell me to go watch the episode before I watch this video but I'm not a Big Rick and Morty fan. I just like watching videos that involve Easter eggs. In a show I don't watch.
