It's anger and probably pent up grief as well the guy is too good despite not blaming demons for what they are but it's not like he won't feel sad for losing someone he admires. Despite trying his best to be strong and good there times like these and I think it's the kind of thing that make demon slayer a good story. Friendship won't save you, and sometimes sacrifice has to be made in order to win and everytime it happens it hurts bad. The children are force to grow and mature quickly but they are still children in the end.
You can tell Zach learned from all the hate and criticism he got in season 1 cause in this movie he sounded so much more emotional and he sounded like he put in more work. I already love the dub as is but Zach definitely stepped his game up

When I watched the movie, I felt so angry that Akaza got away, but Tanjiro's speech added so much more weight to this moment. Rengoku died and protected everyone on the train, Rengoku had the power and strength to kill Akaza but the weakness/mortality of man caused him to die. We hear Akaza preach about how his demon immortality could cure him of this weakness but Rengoku died with his dignity and pride intact. Protecting those who could have never protected themselves.

Rengoku cant kill akaza actually. Akaza wasnt trying his best because he wanted rengoku to turn into a demon.

Exactly. Akaza is crazy strong. There were many opportunities in the fight where he could have killed Rengoku. He was stalling, hoping Rengoku would realize the futility of fighting him and chose to become a demon.

You can totally hear how powerless and disheartened he feels by how things turned out. Zach is amazing
Without a doubt, they win one fight on the train, then another stronger kizuki comes in and wounds rengoku so bad his death was assured, and then runs away when the sun was about to come out so the battle couldnt finish properly. That ending felt so incredibly bitter even when one of the 12 died.

@@MrCodysVideos yeah, i prefer the dub tho. Only seen 2 sub ones, SAO season 4 and Another. Re:zero, IBO, Akame, Demon Slayer, PNL, Unicorn Gundam, Code Geass, Magical Girl raising project and a few more were English. Out of all I seen, re:zero had best dub
The whole death scene had me crying but this was one of the parts of it that made me cry the most. It took a complete stranger for Rengoku to hear the stuff that he always wished he could of heard from his father.

It's kind of funny when you think about it. Akaza is always heard boosting about his demon body, but at the end of the day something as natural as the sunlight can make it crumble to dust.

At first I felt underwhelmed at Zach’s performance as Tanjiro. But his dub started growing now me, especially during the Rui fight. And then this movie, he went above all expectations and performed perfectly! This scene especially, really showed how far he’s come

To be honest, I couldn't stand Zack Agular as Tanjiro in Season 1 but I was impressed by his performance here.
I felt bad for him because he received a lot of backlash after the beginning of Demon Slayer but now I appreciate him even more since he took it to improve. And you can obviously see that here.
It's so realistic because Tanjiro is exhausted and battle damaged from fighting that one upper moon demon, and the only thing pushing him to yell at Akaza is his rage- and I think Zack Agular portrays that extremely well. Especially with the gravel and voice cracks in his screams.
I only see that he's gonna get better 👌

Met Zach at a con in Miami back in January. He said he asked for a few moments to get in the right mindset so that he could execute this speech perfectly. And boy did he. For someone who has had such great notoriety thrust upon them at a young age, he is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
One of the finest young VAs in the dubbing industry right now. I'm sure veterans like Dan Green (Yugi Moto from Yu-Gi-Oh!) and Johnny Yong Bosch are proud of him too.

I usually don't enjoy dub but my god this performance is phenomenal, major props to Tanjiro's dub VA, especially that "You're a coward, A COWARD" line, legitimately gave me goosebumps

I actually cried during this scene,when I watched it for the first time, it was in sub... it had such emotion, the anguish could be felt. This is the first time I've heard the dub but it still holds that raw power. 'Don't run away!!' Gets me every time and the way he shouted coward...that voice crack.

God this goes hard. Akaza is soooo proud of his abilities as a "warrior" but literally only fights when he has a massive advantage. Demon Slayers fight when they're at a disadvantage because they believe in their cause and have the courage to sacrifice their lives. Rengoku is a much stronger person than Akaza because he had the courage to just sit there and die rather than betraying his principles.
He isn't the true warrior, Rengoku is. A true warrior fights till end.

Even though Evil Demons are stubborn and blind to their deeds, Tanjiro had all the right to raise his anger and voice about Rengoku's Victory, The Human Spirit, the Demon Slayers' Determination, and Akaza humiliation and defeat no matter how injured Tanjiro was.

The Demon Slayer movie was the first piece of Demon Slayer I had ever seen, and the movie was enough for me to go read the entire manga. I watched it in Japanese, but the screaming and pure anger coming out of Tanjiro in both Japanese and English is really well done in this scene. This scene was easily the most emotional part of the entire movie for me. It might be a little cheesy, but I love it when media like this showcases the human spirit.
It's just pure, frantic, furious and frustrated screaming and that's what makes it great. It's like telling the demons that they basically turned their hacks on and they're complete bullshit, and despite that we can still fight them even when humans have the disadvantage. Akaza had to leave like a little pussy, and Tanjiro hit the nail on the head by calling him a coward. Again, I watched this scene originally in Japanese, but shout outs to the English VA for getting that exasperated screaming down pretty good.

This got me teary eyed in the cinema ngl, the first screening one
What i loved about those words and how both the sub and dub actors delivered it, you could hear the pure aggravation and frustration and all the feelings of being inadequate its one thing to say it but its another to truly mean it and have those emotions reflect in your tone of voice. It echoed so well that even as a viewer you couldnt help be frustrated watching akaza bound away from our newly loved hero/hashira. The tears flowed from me the way they did from Tanjiro in this scene and not to many things effect me like that and most of the tears were frustration so powerful i will always and forever love this movie. Set your heart ablaze.

Tanjiro was so mood in this moment. You can tell how frustrated and angry he was with how the fight turned out with the whole slew of conditions demons has compared to humans. I was really mood by this moment too.
