I remember when I was watching this I was so p*ssed Rengoku got killed by stupid Akaza and then he ran his @ss into the forest like a little baby and then after Tanjiro yelled at him I wanted to get up and punch Akaza in his stupid face. I probably overreacted considering it was a TV show but never had I been so mad over a death in a show ever. I hate Akaza. Akaza deserved to hear every word Tanjiro told him and he deserves a lot worse. Rengoku is a hero.

I’m not much of an anime expert but this is one of the saddest anime moments for me

Tanjiro was on the edge of the woods. Akaza could have probably killed him without dying. But he was too afraid to try. Makes you wonder who is the real victor here. The one who MARCHED ON, PREPARED TO DIE or the one who RAN AWAY, AFRAID TO DIE.

I swear, it’s because of moments such as this that make me view Griffith as someone who is less of a monster and more of a man who became a puppet to his own dream, orchestrated by The Idea of Evil. Something that he strove for as an ordinary person, but possibly grew to regret with the little humanity he has left. The part of him that remained when Guts and Casca had escaped.
