Amen! Taren, I have to admit that I was very skeptical about your transition from Triathlon Taren to Taren Motive. I have been following you since I started a 4 years ago. But the content you providing now is very very profound. It took me 4 years of trying and failing to understand what you just presented in 5 minutes about nutrition before and after race and training. I can just confirm that this is 100% correct. Many my Ironman friends still doing mistakes in this. Good job! And thank you for all your hard work!

Love the content. Been watching you for over a year, and just completed my first Tri today. Thank you for helping all the beginners out there.

Oh how important this video is for racers! I can’t tell you how bad I failed when I raced my MTB! Having to hide in the woods mid race is never fun!!

Love the updated intro statement. For what it's worth, emphasizing this as a positive training method v talking about triathlon "suffer culture" is more inviting to the average listener 😜

This is extremely helpful, Taren! I am a member of your program and I would like to buy the nutrition book but when I click the link it asks me to log in but then I can’t find the book. Can you help? Also, your functional movement and yoga in your app are AMAZING! I have a therapeutic yoga background and have n]been blown away by how well designed your program is. So thank you again for amazing content! Highly recommend your app and program!

I found this all very informative and interesting. However, I am an organic, whole foods sort of gal. Ingesting goos and gels are contrary to my overall nutritional well being. Taren, could you also suggest some real food alternatives to the goos, etc. Thank you!

Maple Syrup, Honey, and some gel brands make Organic versions like Spring Energy and Honey Stinger

Every video I’ve seen on nutrition doesn’t include any info on how long before training you should ingest the fuel source for the workout. Does anyone have a general guideline for this?

If the point of training is to loose body fat, and the body has essentially unlimited energy stored in adipose tissue why would you consume dietary fat before an endurance session? There isn't much research to support consuming dietary fat prior to zone 2 training actually improves beta oxidation........

I have been using the split electrolyte fluid and calorie method very successfully for years. When I first assign it to a new athlete to "train" your nutrition they look at me like I'm stupid...until they try it. Sound advice
