“Everyone needs a sports car”. No truer words spoken 🥰
Or a muscle car... Both are fun to drive.
Yes, I just got mine the day after watching this.
i prefer the peugeot 308 gti rc
@@heldermonteiro2718 can’t argue with that.
@@user-yr7ey1gw9jthen you're dead
My wife is from Japan. She doesn't like American mainstream tofu. She saw a kid in San Francisco in a Sylvia with the Japanese language "Fujiwara Tofu Shop" sticker and looked it up expecting a (far superior) local tofu shop. That's how we found Initial D.
I have a 2017 86. I have 108,000 miles on it as I have daily driven it since i bought it new. I grocery shop for a family of 4 every two weeks. If the trunk on the newer 86 is about the same it is more than plenty.
FA20 owner as well. 155k miles on the clock and still runs and drives great.
I owned the previous generation. The only trunk difference is the opening is slightly smaller and there is no spare under the carpet. However the old spare from my 2017 fit like normal
The other cool thing about the Trueno package is that all the parts like the breaks and shocks are designed to be swapped onto the the regular GR86. So if you are unlucky to get your hands on the outrageously marked up 860 Truenos, you can still get the performance. Love the Trueno blue of this one.
Just wait for a crashed one. 😉
The real question: do they mount up to my 2013?
I hope it doesn't break
breaks...spelled correctly: b r a k e s - or, "I'm on a coffee break"
@@leer.2137 auto spell check does that.
Phenomenal job on this review.... but aren't they all phenomenal reviews when coming from Sarah.
Hey Sarah, truer words were never spoken ‘ everyone needs a sports car’ and Toyota knocked it out of the park. Those three additions I almost can’t believe they actually did that.🐧🐧🐧👍
With a lot of help from Subaru, naturally.
People with sports car need them to make up for what they lacking. Is what the saying is
600lbs of dog food = 20 30lb bags. Each approx. .75ft^3. 8 in the trunk with room to spare. 4 on the floor of the backseat. 4 on each side of the back seat. Still have room for a passenger and a day bag for each person, no problem.

I love the new generation Of GR86 they look beautiful In that blue color ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
YES!!! The seat bolster Test. The bolstering was excellent!
I love the detail in all of your reviews! The little mechanical details and comparison are awesome for people who are looking to work/mod on these cars! Keep it up!
Wow, finally a real review, technical and otherwise. So much great useful information. You are the best.
Hi Sarah! Never been this early but I'm positive you did a great job.
Legit the best and most informative review about this car I've seen so far. Subscribed
First gen FA20 owner. 155k miles on the clock and it still puts a smile on my face when driving it.
Miss mine! Sold due to a move… so now considering the new one!
The 2.0 is the worst engine the 2.4 is the best engine its night and day no comparison
@@mrporsche4236thank you for your input. 👍

I am loving my new GR86. I ordered it after seeing your first review. It is definitely car enthusiasts driving. Thank you.
Your reviews are awesome Sarah. Definitely has the feel of a show that you’d see on NHK!
I cosigned for a loan on a 2013 Sion FRS for my daughter .After having the car for a while I took over the payments from her. I kept the car as a daily driver for three years. The car was a fun little car to drive. The handling was great. My wife and I took it to Colorado on vacation. Driving thru the Rocky's was very fun. Took in up to Pikes peak it was awesome .The car was a blast to drive. I really enjoy watching Sarah's video's and driving impressions.
Probably a Scion, not a "Sion".
What about power loss at elevation?
Just got a trueno blue GR86 for my daily. Loving it so far! Thanks for the detailed review Sarah!
Another great review and your knowledge of cars shows through. No one does car reviews better.
I liked That blue paint.but that orange paint scheme looks bloody mean.....very nice....
I love the drone views. Nice touch, Sarah!
The hand pointer twist at 1:13 was 100% professional, Sarah. Nicely done.
I loved this review as the owner of a 2022 Limited automatic Subaru BRZ. The only interesting fact about these cars I would like to add to Sarah's review is these relatively low priced cars have the exotic feature of aluminum front fenders, hood, and top. I chose the BRZ over the GR86 because reviews indicated the BRZ is better for tracking a low lap time on a race course, whereas the GR86 is "more tossable" as in drifting.
Enjoy all your reviews thanks. It's great to see Toyota are still putting out fantastic sports cars.
Ride The Lightning, what a great album.
Cliff Burton forever! 🤘

No truer words were spoken Sarah, when you said "everyone needs to own a sports car." Keep up the great work.
Amazing review as always Sarah, your the best.
Another excellent review! Thank you for what you do and Stay Awesome!
Sarah great review looking forward to seeing the calendar soon.
OMG Sarah mentioned the Oil Filter location!!! /angels singing /harps playing
Top mounted oil filter is GOLD ✨✨✨
I appreciate the way Sarah launched the car in the beans segment. I've seen you tubers dump the clutch at 5000rpm which is ridiculous.
I used to launch my Chevelle even higher than that, but it was a DRAG car that was built to be launched that hard too. Otherwise, dumping the clutch at 5,000 RPM will only smoke the tires and break drivetrain parts.
First time watching and I think I love you, Sasquatch 😅. Great video about a segment of car that Leno will never get to. Love the yodas and practical sporty stuff. Thanks!
Thanks for getting in the back seat. I have a MK3 Supra. Similar space in the back and I use it for small bags and emergency pickups. Major reason I dislike the MK5 is no back seat….and no Targa. GR86 looks fun to drive.
Thanks Sarah, pretty interested in one of these so thanks for giving it your knowledgable once over...plus little things like your humour & appreciate your avoidance of “freedom units”. You are nice to watch as well.😊
Solid review 👏🏽 Very informative compared to most out there. I just picked up the Trueno Edition and it doesn’t disappoint 🤙🏽
Amazing what a great value this vehicle is. It's no small feat to satisfy an enthusiasts wallet and heartbeat! ❤️🔥❗️💗 Thanks, Sarah!! 🙏
Bought one based on your review...totally worth it thanks for all your work.😊
Thank you for publishing this at 23.00 hrs UK time.
Always enjoyed your review, just got my IS500 after watching your review more than five times.
❤❤❤
Excellent as usual 😊
Had to drop in and watch this again. I had a Trueno reserved, but found a white '23 with only 3k miles and scooped it up. I guess that answers the question!
Don't track it though. They have a oil feed problem in hard right turns. Oil pressure drops dramatically.
And clockwise donuts will kill it quite quickly.
Also the transmission is maxed out straight from the factory.
great job sarah
Thank you Sarah! 💜
Thanks for this review. The Toyota engineering is always impressive. And yes, everyone needs a sports car.
~ thanx 4 the review - { I had a smile from beginning to finish } really helpful as I am just becoming familiar with this vehicle 🏁 now I just need to become familiar with your ratings chart
OMG, not only did I enjoy this video, it was extremely informative and we know for sure that the back seat is NOT Sarah -n- Tuned sized!!!🤩😍🤩😍😇😇😇
Excellent video. You are amazing Colonel Chip
Happy Friday Sarah! Thanks for another great video 🐧
I’m both a Cynophile as well as a ailurophile. I had for a time both growing up together at my home in Colorado. I have a 2017 86 with the 2.0L boxer 4. The best way to smooth out that hp and torque dip is to replace the stock exhaust header with a uneven exhaust header. It makes that wonderful sound and no dip that my butt dyno could perceive. Great vid! Hope to see more. 👍🏻
I enjoyed this review. I liked that you put the car on a lift and measured some stuff. Very cool.
This is honestly a great review!! Hope your channel continues to grow. New sub :)
Excellent review thanks for the information
Love the stick with pointing finger! Car test with a twist 😊
SACHS dampers and Brembo breaks will be a package for 2024 model year - no need to order limited Trueno edition (order availability in November, delivery next winter). Also, that package can be retrofitted to current GR86s, and I read somewhere, that that retrofitting will be offered at official dealerships.
I have sachs on my old rav4 2gr v6.. really like them
*brakes.
Order? Lol
So excited for mine to arrive! Put the deposit down on a "Raven" premium manual in May, hopefully it arrives by fall sometime. I haven't been this excited about a car in a long time.
Excellent insights, as always, Sarah!
Enjoy it!
Congratulations !
I put a deposit on one in November, still waiting :/ best of luck to you my friend. I too am stoked for it to arrive!!
the red pointer wand is awesome and makes it easy to see what you are talking about :D
You know your stuff! Be great to get you to Croatia to do the vlog with Rimac and the owner you both have great passion 😊
You are correct about the seats. I them in my Accord and my 200sx.
I really like the 'GR' badge styling.
I hope it stays around for a while.
It’s funny how no one has any problem with this car’s exhaust, but so much hate on Mustang ecoboost, which actually sounds pretty much the same, if not much better
I used to own an 88 Toyota Corolla SR5 coup. It had the sporty flip up headlights and manual transmission. I don't see those anymore. Great review and as always Give It The Beans!😎
Nice insightful comments Sarah.
I'm looking at this for a car replacement. Thank you! Very interesting.
I watched this video before I bought my 24 gr 86, it's a really great car. Just did my 1k break in oil change, and finally giving it the beans. its a lot of fun
Whenever Sarah drives a car on an Arizona road, I keep hearing the Roadrunner meep meep sound in my head, and I can't stop it. 🤔
Thanks Sarah.
Central California watching
Thank you Sara!
Great music choice 🤟🏼
Another great car review 👍
Sarah -n- Tuned... Making Sasquatch Great Again! Thanks for the pure and honest review as always.
Such a great video thank you!
Great review!! I love my GR86 premium. I have had so many cars and none bring a smile to my face like the GR86
Absolutely and just totally agree with your assessment of the GR86 … Thanks Mucho 😎
@5:25 the buttons are often misunderstoon, at least on the BRZ tapping the left button turns off traction control but leaves stability control on. You have to hold the button down for 3 seconds to turn off BOTH. Or just use the track button which turns both TSC & VSC down to minimums
😮The perfect amount of quick is just the way I like it baby
😎👍
Lol the way u use the pointy stick. So adorable
I Love your videos!!! I think the only way they could improve this car is to make it a hatch back like the Celica and Supra...
Your look of joy says it all.👍
Sarah, I love your laugh
You drove one of these cars at Monticello Raceway - that must have been fun ... perhaps off-road tires might have been more appropriate as it is a harness race track. Perhaps it was Monticello Motor Club? Just having some fun here - love the channel and the content ... keep up the EXCELLENT work and entertainment!
I really like this one, especially the color.
Sounds great!
"Everyone needs a sports car." AAanndd this is why we love you, Sarah.
It's amazing that Ford Mustang in the late 80's early 90's with a 5.0L V-8 got 225 hp. And some 30+ years later you can get a four cylinder that produces similar horsepower.
Heck, you can get a turbo 3 cyl that gets 200hp with a 1.5L EcoBoost in a Fiesta ST.
agreed, but I had a late 80s 5.0 Mustang. Nut sure they would feel the same. That thing would haul A$$
but the v8's would produce more torque over a 4 cyl..i had a 91 5.0 & it would eat that car for lunch..too bad they didnt drop a 6 in it or something with more torque.
@@jaylee931 sure, if you’re talking just in a straight line. Rarely, do I drive my 86 in a straight line. Not knocking Mustangs. After all, “Everyone needs a sports car.”
Or a 1.6 3 cyl corolla with 300hp
Cool vid... great job.
I agree about the ITB's 😁👍 great video
I actually just ordered my GR86 Trueno🤠 Halo White Manual
Love this. Appreciate the Initial D Takumi style reference lol 😊
Always love the Bolstering assement its a 10
I do do love this car great review
That tiny back seat floor mat is hilarious. Never seen anything quite like that.
Thumbed you up. Great video.
GOSH I LOVE THE BOLSTERING TEST........🥰
I'm in love. With the car too❤
As a fellow sasquatch, that's my first condition that has to be met! This generation feels more roomy than the last. And far more capable on the track.
I would love one of these!
I’ve been shopping sports cars, love the Z, but $53K, is more than I want spend, this GR86, is pretty sweet, not enamored of the dash though, gonna check out the 6 speed stick, great technical review Sarah, thank you
We wanna see you drift it. Let's go!
great review - great affordable car!
I ❤ your car reviews, keep crushing it girl
