Really enjoy these test vids especially being a fan of big bore revolver

Try finding ammo with a deep curl bullet, I found they penetrate further than gold dots and open a bit slower and can be driven faster to good effect. Also Super Vel makes some nice hot rounds for 44 special, solid copper HP's.

Security and vets have spoken very well of 44, 45 retired state troopers are mixed 357,38,40,44,45. No reason for 4 layers denim. That I can see unless seams are the target. Lol

A lot of tests I've seen online showed Cor-Bon ammo to meet or exceed the published velocity. That's good because it seems that the threshold for reliable expansion of hollow point bullets is right around 1,000 fps and if we can trust their numbers, it helps us select ammo. Unfortunately, it does seem that .44 and .45 hollow points are very prone to clog with fabric and fail to expand. It's kind of a bummer because I love .45 Colt.

    Corbon, good stuff but expensive.
It cost me $7 to shoot a snake once.
The Bulldog bites with heavy loads.
The gun can take more abuse than your hand will. They are too light and kicks too hard with heavy loads.
44 Spl is still my favorite after 40 years of shooting.
Its my woods loafing gun. I load a couple of CCI shot loads and three SWC solids in my 44s.
    Thanks for the video.
