New honorable mention: Week 17 of 2020. The Giants needed the Eagles help to get into the playoffs by beating Washington. Doug Peterson said "Fuck it" and put in Nate Sudfeld for the 4th quarter.

Lots of vicious moments on both sides dating back to 1960 and the Bednarik/Gifford moment. True rivalry. The one who said "Giants-Eagles-that's got its own show" during the top 10 rivalries countdown proved to be right.
PS in Giants land number 2 is called "The Fumble". Note to Pete Prisco-the "kneel down" didn't become a rule until 1987. Pisarcik should have fallen on the ball like on the previous play
I'm surprised they didn't ask Merrill Reese about a lot of these (on the opposite side Giants PBP man Bob Papa had a lot of air time here). He called a lot of these moments on Eagles radio.
The key to a good rivalry is when the teams are both good, both bad, or one way and the other, how amped do the players. Fans. Press, get about the game. If you had to win one (or two if divisional) game, and lose the rest of the year, and it was against that team? Thats a rivalry. If the fire of loss breeds such contempt it allows for a team to hit that next step, so much the better. If you use that frustration to push yourself to new heights, and still wouldn't send them a christmas card as a thank you, you're probably in a deep rivalry.
Giants and Eagles speaks for itself when you look at success history. Giants by far. I will give it to Philly though. That one title they won since the 40's was well earned.
It was against a Green Bay Packer Team coached by Vince Lombardi. How many Pro Bowlers were on that Green Bay Packer Team? Weren't all those Future Pro Football Hall of Famers in their Prime when The Eagles beat them in 1960? Nuff said!
You can tell when these Teams have Great General Managers, they do well. You can also tell when they have Bad General Managers, they do poorly. That's been true for 90 Seasons now.
What people don’t remember about that week 15 game was how poorly the Eagles played for three quarters. This comeback was so epic that there was a challenge on the next Madden game to repeat that same comeback as best as you could.
For all the faults of those Madden games of the 2010's, that feature of "Madden Moments" or whatever it was called was an excellent idea. I remember the Lions 0-16 season and how you had to go down the field get a TD and a 2 pt conversion and then win in overtime. I swear to god the Redskins were the 85 Bears in disguise. That season you're referring to probably had the first one where they were adding the challenge or MM of the week by the week because of how popular it became.
Madden Moments. Those were tough. And in 2011 they not only introduced the original moments but also allowed you to recreate the moment and play as the opposing team. Like playing as the Patriots in that final drive against the Giants. Nowadays they dont have that where every week they let you play as one of the teams in those moments.
Im surprised they didnt mention Randall Cunningham was the second most sacked quarterback by LT after Jawz. As a Giants fan I still cant believe how Kotite gets made fun of when he was in Philly. He had a better Win% than Buddy ryan and actually won a playoff game. Buddy never did. The 1991 Eagles defense under kotite is considered one of the best single season defenses of all time. Its also convenient for the video to leave out that Parcells-Ryan head to head record was 5-5. video only mentions buddy winning only 5 out of the last 6 and not Parcells winning the first 4 outings.
Like what was said by NFL Films when talking about Rivalries, This rivalry Game should take place at Midnight in a Dark Alley. I would also add Legendary Boxing Announcer Michael Buffer should be there to proclaim: "Let's Get Ready to Rumble!"

Why do Eagles hate the Giants? They beat the Giants all the time they should love them. The Giants r the ones who should really hate the Eagles they always lose to em.
Josh Ocampo The Eagles should have been 0-2 vs the Patriots since they "happened" to bench Malcolm Butler, who was their best cornerback. I never thought that the NFL could fix their games until I saw the Eagles win that Super Bowl.
