I've had an issue with the 'Variant metafields' setting appearing in products with more than one variant. Would you know how to fix this please? Is it something to do with the single line text?

Sorry, we'd love to try and help but don't quite follow your issue. You want the filters on the variants themselves as that is where the different colors/swatches would be set. Hopefully that helps.

Thank you for this video! Is there a way to set it so that some filters show one some collections and others show on different collections? The use case I am trying to solve for is different color values for different sizes...so if there is a collection selected with size A, it would show color set A vs. collection size B would show color set B. Thanks so much!!

The colors filters will show for the products that are relevant within that collection. It will only show the ones included within that collection (i.e. the relevant colors) so you can create collections with the specific products that you want.

The frontend store will only show either the color swatch (image) or the color (code.) You can't show both at the same time in the same filter, however you can make separate color and fabric filters so both are available on the frontend.

Are you looking on the variant or product? There are different metafields for products and variants. Maybe that is the issue? It's tough to say without seeing what you are doing. Check that first.

You can assign the color swatches to each variant and thus assign the colors.

The labels are required in the filter. You could edit the Liquid template to remove the labels but that would affect all filters and not just the color.
