My theory is that the janitor wasn't the real black hood. The black hood just made him pretend that he was right then so he wouldn't get caught, and the real black hood is still out there.
to me it seemed like the kiss was 100% betty's idea, she even says his name as she's going in for it lol as if "archie, im sorry but..." and then his reaction afterwards was very surprised and confused kinda, i think that was just an impulse move by her
also, since archie still said that it didn't seem like it was him when he saw his eyes, people think there's more than one black hood or the real one forced svenson to act as him
I disagree. I think that if Betty hadn't kissed him Archie would've ended up doing it. They basically confirmed he does have feelings for her last episode (which was already kind of obvious) and when he grabbed her hands and leaned closer to her I could tell it was gonna happen (plus he was looking at her lips too) I think they just had Betty do it so that we know Betty still has feelings for Archie too
idk i got that feeling from him too but i didnt think he'd do it then, i think he was just really trying to get her to listen to him. his reaction to her kiss says it all. he wasnt expecting it. maybe he liked it and maybe he wanted to do it later on but he was not planning on that happening
The black hood reveal was a letdown, however I think there may be more than one black hood. And the real big cliffhanger, they’re saving for the 2nd half of the season.
