An amazing box from Bob Brenchley with loads of very interesting computer literature, a Commodore 64 with 1541 floppy disk drive, and an incredible Timex Sinclair 2068 with real interesting history. Hopefully heading to the @RMCRetro museum!
Also thanks to Paul URB for the other bits and that Commodore branded camera!

Nice idea for the Timex machine. I'm sure some RMC folks would chip in to help fund the machine being in the Cave.
Great idea to get it in a museum, some things just deserver to be more than just a mantel piece.
I always enjoy your Videos because you are enthusiastic and sincere about your Hobbies and Interest but you are never over the top like a lot of of the youtubers out there.
I appreciate that! Just trying to be me :D
LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE!!!!! ;)
Been a while since I messaged. Lee you are such a wonderful person for doing these charity auctions. Awesome videos, keep up the good videos.
First thing a thought after you mentioned where it came from - "that needs to not only be in the cave", and then I thought it needs to be part of a series of those videos that Neil puts together (eg Spectrum clones and their cousins) ; so I have to admit to a wee fist pump when you divulged that information.
Terrific idea. What an extraordinary community ✌️
Alot of cool stuff!! Going to be a massive total this year!
Brilliant that the RMC could be taking the Timex machine, I'll certainly chip in for any crowd funding if need be. I have a few items, a new old stock boxed Amiga Genlock, a new old stock boxed A520 modulator and a Vidi-Amiga screen capture unit that I was going to ask if you wanted for the auction but you said that you have too much to cope with just now. If you want them for your own collection any time in the future just give me a nudge.
I remember the name Bob Brenchley from the Sam Coupe days. Format Publications, West Coast Computers etc.
Interesting! I might have to pick your brains for more information :D
I too remember him, at one point the only remaining serious Spectrum “magazine”
You need to get info out on your auction! Hopefully somehow us foreigners can join in; I wouldn't mind a few of those mint books (or a 1541-II if you have).
That image of Neil rubbing himself with £50 notes......
Finally home, been waiting HOURS to see what Lee's up to now! Clicking play...now!!
I think the 2068 is quite a common machine, but that one is in nice condition. Would have liked to have bid on that
The video out on 2068 would be RF based on the instructions
Ooh some good stuff here! The 110 film camera in the thumbnail really caught my attention (featured towards the end of the video) as I've been messing around with one myself over the past few months and even have an Instagram account dedicated to it - a Kodak Pocket Instamatic 200 in my case. Sounds like maybe that's what you had with the flash cubes! 90% of the pictures come out terrible but it's a lot of fun to play with 😁
The commodore 64 really does have 64k
Hmm, you'd think that BBC micro Micro guide would be smaller since its double Micro.
It would be great of that machine ends up at the cave. the blue camera would go great with my yellow one. I still have some of the pictures I took on it 110 film was never that great sadly
I wish I could wake up and wash in £50 notes 😆
Look after yourself first, don't take on too much. You're more important. Don't let a welcome distraction from things become additional stress. You can sell this old stuff later. The prices aren't going down any time soon. ;)
Thats very true. I have pretty much accepted I wont be able to get every single item sold on the final day. That would take a team of dozens! So I will just do my best and see what I manage to sell and then sell the rest at my leisure later.
I hope that piece ends up in the cave running games next to a Sam coupe. Its part of the story and fascinating and deserves to be enjoyed by many many visitors.
I hope so too! That would be the perfect outcome. Although I dont think Neil would be so keen on having the Sam out for grubby hands :D
