After watching you struggle with that hose clamp for as long as you did I figured I could manage on my own. Thank you…

This is a life saving video. Although it took my husband 5 hours to complete(he is NOT a mechanic) the video was Great and GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thank you so very much.

I could tell that the engine uses conventional oil as soon as the valve cover was removed. The varnish gave it away. Thanks for posting this.

Just my two cents. You might consider changing the plugs and coils at the same time.

The right hand back is a pain. They could have designed the manifold so you could get to the plugs and coils.

Love this motor. Nissan has made some questionable choices in the last 15yrs in terms of their vehicles, but this is by far one of their greatest engines, and probably one of the best in the world.

I have a 2011 Xterra with just under 100k miles. I chose the Xterra because I wanted japanese reliability. I'm bought this for taking on long road trips and deep into the back country where reliability trumps everything. I had the 1985 Maxima that ran flawlessly into high miles before a drunk idiot plowed into it, and friends with Nissans that ran forever. However, I'm curious how you come to this conclusion about this motor. Thanks.

@@Michael-cm8qk that's hard to answer quick. But reliability torque fuel consumption

@JohnDoe-ef3wo I love the torque of this engine. I'm not saying I'm a street racer or anything, but I've beaten quite a few people off the line with my Frontier, LOL!

214,500 miles on my frontier and it’s got the same power level as the day I bought it. I haven’t babied it or driven it nicely at all either.

Is it possible to simply leave the throttle body attached to the plenum when removing? If not, why? Thanks for the videos.
