- While Microsoft should include a rechargeable and removable battery pack, I list 3 reasons disposable batteries are better then review the most convenient charger dock I have used for Xbox controllers which included 2 battery packs and a handsome but very big dock.

I've always like the idea of the Xbox controllers having replaceable batteries. Just wish they would include a rechargable pack in the box, like 8bitdo's Pro 2 line of controllers. Best of both worlds.
The Razer Universal Charging Stand is pretty great. Small dock, you don't take the battery out of the controller, it's an overall elegantly simple solution.

Good video, I like that Xbox still has the replaceable battery option, although i always buy a rechargeable battery pack for them (money saver long term), these days i use pro controllers like Elite V2 etc so battery life isn't an issue.

Regardless of the console I always splurge for a controller charging dock. Fiddling with back doors on the daily will eventually become aggravating.
I just my plug my elite into a usb cable and continue playing. I get the internal battery will die eventually, but if you use your controller frequently it will probably be in such a state you would need a new one anyway by the time the battery is ready for the grave.
you think 3rd party controller companies like scuf are going to mod the dualsense edge? and use the peripherals on there or just stick to the oem dualsense
Here’s a question: can you use this with a Scuf Instinct Pro? I know that scuf uses a magnetic system to close the battery cover and I don’t know if this would interfere with putting on the 8bitDo required battery cover.
I much prefer the neat charging puck for the Elite 2, I use regular rechargeable AA for my standard controllers though since MS themselves don’t make a dock.
For the ultimate budget option, just buy LADDA batteries from Ikea and a bog-standard AA-battery charger (they sell those at Ikea as well). Those LADDAs are just re-branded Panasonic Eneloops which are basically the best rechargeable batteries out there but the IKEA ones are cheaper.

Hi, i might be a little confused, but that 30-day non quality thing might mean, if you are unhappy with your product, you can return it within 30 days after purchase for the F reason you have. This should not effect your regular warranty, which is always covering only quality issues.

8BitDo makes their own licensed Xbox controllers but how come they can't make one that fits this dock?

The one thing I dislike about third party batteries for these controllers is that they don't make use of the communication pins that the Microsoft packs use. Not only do you get low battery notifications through at least the console (I'm not sure about PC), but you also get charging via the USB port so you don't actually have to set the controller down to charge or swap packs to a fresher battery. The next major revision of these controllers really needs a better battery ecosystem, and one that can actually be expanded upon in a meaningful way other than 'replace your AAs with AA-shaped Ni-Cads,' even just a swappable lithium pack, like what the Sunwaytek Syozen Z2 does, would be better given pack size and power density; I mean just look at how long phones can last on their batteries, you can't tell me that we can't cram one of those batteries into a controller and have something that actually lasts more than a few sessions at a time.

Replaceable batteries are CONSUMER FRIENDLY. You can get lithium/nickel metal hydride/alkaline versions. You don't have to buy another controller once the batteries die. Do you really want to spend $180 on an Elite controller and then pay up again years later (or sooner if it craps out on you as they tend to do)? If your Xbox reaches retro status it would be great for your controllers to still work.
