You both enjoy it for relaxing, just stream it for your lo-fi streams.

I feel like if they just start into Minecraft, they'll find something to do organically; their banter is pretty great, and running into random mobs on their journey and protecting themselves against those mobs would be really interesting to watch in my opinion :P

I think part of the reason they don't is because their humor works best when their working off of what's happening in the game (not always, sometimes the stories they tell do that but you can't expect them to have an unrelated story every single episode) and since minecraft is a chill game it would be harder make a funny video out of it. You can have entertaining moments in minecraft and I feel like they could make it work but it probably wouldn't be a long series. (Sorry for the rant just wanted to share)
Honestly if the Game Grumps played Minecraft they would be building stuff as if they were a child. Like a basement where they hold captive a villager or somerhing. Basically what I'm trying to say is that their imagination would be endless and they would do whatever (that's if they actually haven't played the game before I haven't finished the video yet but still)

Adding processing machines, wires, pipes, nuclear reactors, digital miners, electrolyzers..
Orbiting bases, Mars and moon bases..
Mining lasers, railcraft, equivalent exchange, solar panels, automatic builders, automatic sorting and saving items on hard drives to transfer to different bases..
Elevators, airships..not to mention all the magic and farming mods if you're into that, way more customizable building blocks
Or building the 3x3 mining hammers
Vanilla Minecraft vs modpacks is night and day
It's like the difference between playdogh and a 3d printer haha
One is insanely boring and dull to watch, the other has infinite replayability and is way more entertaining to watch
A massive citadel with intricate machines and detail, or a dull brick square with some chickens
Like the yogscast mod playthroughs are so fucking great

While I do agree that vanilla Minecraft is fairly limited, I feel the fun in Minecraft is watching someone learning the mechanics and creating there own world with what they discover. With mods this same feeling can be recreated when you feel that you have mastered every aspect of vanilla Minecraft. I feel that it’s unfair to call modded Minecraft superior as it’s just more content, of course if you change vanilla Minecraft to your own liking it will be better.

Have a Minecraft Grumps event similar to Guild Grumps. As much as I like Minecraft, I do feel like it wouldn’t fit the 10 minute episode format, and while I wouldn’t mind livestreams I’d prefer you two (and whoever comes along) in a server relaxing as a group, building lil houses and goofing around.
And hey, as cool as it would be to play with you guys, the server should stay between the Grumps & whoever else you guys brings along. That way, once the series is over (you don’t have to defeat the ender dragon or wither or any of that, or do, Minecraft is literally what you want it to be!) you can maybe revisit it in the future and reminisce/continue without feeling overwhelmed by all the new builds/changed landscape that were made while you were away.

- Something kinda like guild grumps where an ensamble of GG staff (Ross, Barry etc) all start an online server together where everyone tries to co-exist with each other and all the shenanagins that ensue. Perhaps guests (Jack for instance) can join every so often

For Minecraft, just do anything. Literally anything you wanna do, explore, build a house, beat each other to death, whatever you feel like.
I like the idea of playing minecraft but I don't think it would work very well in a 15 minute episodic format. I feel like that's just too little time to get anything accomplished. It would probably be best in large batches like on streams.
Agreed - Sure, they could play for a good while and then trim the episodes down to normal length, but it would be less financially beneficial than playing other games for that same amount of time and turning all of it into the maximum number of episodes.
I mean, I'd love to see real-time Minecraft with these guys, but it would be the most frustrating content ever.

I was thinking Minecraft would work really well for a stream when they get to the new office. It doesn’t need to be über serious, but the boys can just play the game.
Plus, having 2 video feeds on screen at once, 1 with Dan and the other with Aaron.
Watching them both at the same time, along with their randomness.
I know for a fact they will go like "I'm over here" and the other is like "Where is over here?" at least a dozen or so times.
It doesn’t matter what the content is, we just want to see you play the way you would play.

The reference I see the online most is “I’m the video game boy!” One that have been on my mind a lot
You should play with both you (Arin) and Dan playing Minecraft and both of you record your screens. Just enjoy the game together for a few playing sessions and cut to whoever's screen is more exciting at the moment and we'll enjoy it.
I love the idea of both of them playing. Presumably, Danny doesn't know how to play, so there would be a lot of enjoyment in him learning from Arin. And probably getting blown up by creepers a few times.

8. Build and defeat the wither
9. Build beacon
10. Find the overworld Stronghold
11. Gain access to the End dimension
12. Kill the Ender Dragon
13. Watch the credits.

•What is the content?
While there is a main path of progression, Minecraft is so free range that the content you can create is basically limitless.
The content is mining, fighting monsters, and building, until you go to end, and fight a dragon.
99% of the content in between those steps comes from your own experimentation/learning. Those are the fun parts.
These are just a few of the deaths:
Getting blown up, falling to your death, getting struck by lightning, suffocating to death, getting attacked by giant sky mantas, burning in lava, getting eaten by a big fish, bit by spiders, shot with arrows, burning to death in fire, and even killed by llamas.
Here are some of the things you’ll do.
Explore these Biomes:

•Tundra
•Swamp
•Mountain
•Flower Field
•Ocean
•Plains
•Extreme Hills
•Ice Plains

Some of the mobs you’ll meet:

(You can literally go to Hell in this game, btw.)

What i’ve listed is just a small handful of what Minecraft offers. You should really look into it more, it’s a spectacular game, and I believe it would be amazing on Gamegrumps.

The most odd place to see Game Grumps stuff was probably that one time someone saw a GG sticker on some luggage in an instagram post. Turns out that luggage belonged to Steve-O from Jackass. Then they later got him on the show. Yeah, that was pretty random.

With Minecraft, I'd suggest maybe since it's quite long and diverse, perhaps livestreaming? I'm sure it would float well since people tend to just love watching the player progress, explore and create. Perhaps achieving the in game objectives. Like defeating the Wither Boss or the Ender Dragon (If they don't know that is, borf or allie can work some magic and enlighten our dear boys)

If you wanted to play Minecraft in a way that didn't need to be cut down you could play some puzzle or adventure maps.

Sky block should do. Kind of reminiscent of them playing Portals 2 together. Will be kind of hard with out any cheats thought if you don't know the mechanics of minecraft.

Just do what you do on Minecraft while you're playing at home, I think a lot of people mainly watch the show for the commentary, and to be honest I personally would be interested to see what the grumps would do in Minecraft.
It would be interesting to see what houses and projects you'd make and what challenges you'd try. It would make an interesting series, maybe try out a few episodes and see what reaction you get? maybe google some Minecraft challenges or play on pc with various mod packs?
That's my own opinion though, I'd love to see some Minecraft episodes. :)
The Battle of the Grumps - Minecraft Edition
Both Grumps build separate bases on the same server, as defensible as they are capable of making it (creative mode for ease, survival mode for difficulty).
Upload the creation process as standalone Danny episodes and standalone Arin episodes to drum up support for either side.
When they're ready, turn on survival mode and drop the Grumps into the server with the goal of infiltrating and destroying the other base, culminating in an all-out battle between them with swords and armor (possibly on mounts).
Grump or Not-So-Grump, only one can be the victor.
Technically, Dan made a self-fulfilling promise as now when people call him a hack it WILL be a game grumps reference.

My friends and I make reference to 'It's dangerous to go alone" all the time. I had actually heard the song a while ago, and then found out it was you guys when I was getting back into watching your stuff, and I was like 'WHOA! Cool!" Just the timing was hilariously perfect on it.
So, i just rewatched this after the hour long podcast, and i think people would absolutely love it if you guys were just playing minecraft while you guys talk about whatever comes up. No editing required
