Mark Z if you are reading this thread (I hope) here's my wishlist:
*More object capacity.
*The ability to put pictures in Horizon (either ones we simply shoot in Horizon or others)
*Better search abilities. It's frustrating when many of us OG creators that were in the first wave of Horizon can't get our worlds found.
*The ability to carry over variables to other worlds so we can make bigger worlds that are connected.

Thanks for such an awesome creation tool. I've been into VR since the 80's and you've made it mainstream and now it's hear to stay.
If I may add......The ability to put "APPROVED" pictures in Horizon... (Copyright issues) Pictures are emailed /sent to Horizon for approval then placed in your world by Horizon.
@@hobbiecomics I think the first 'baby' step in getting pictures in Horizon are using the ones we can take with our built in camera. We can already hand them to others. So, letting us keep them as objects allows us to use props, wearables, sets to create any picture we want that avoids many of the problems of copyrights and other worries.
Am I able to find your worlds by searching under that DanBlast? Would love to check them out if they’re open! I am user newagemonalisa.
This may be on the way. You notice the Wendys stadium has images. Billboards. I don't know how they did it.
@@JodiRockk No those are doors. It's a hack some Horizon users use. They use a picture as their profile pic then choose that as the door image then stretch it out. You can tell because they get a little blurry when you use that technique. Someone recently sued the door technique on a television and had a clip of a basketball game.
Fun fact: mark doesnt use an avatar in vr he simply just shows you his true self, a machine, a digital being, an android
with elevator shoes and all.
Where can I find out more information about Monetization on Horizon?
I’ve been in 2 headliner in the Soapstone. It was fun. My favorite shooting game is waffle copter’s Zap Zap. He’s got 2 of them now. And Mark Berman’s 1Mark’s Riverboat Ride 2 Mark’s Lake house Adventure. 3 Mark’s ski resort. Flutt3r’s meditation garden is awesome! And we can’t forget Girls on Fire. Another Very important world. I would also love too see 0 Gravity brought into the Plaza. Bouncy House is another world I love too go into for it’s 0 gravity. .And more clothing choices for our avatars. And when people have VR weddings, Wedding dresses and Tuxes would cool to add too the clothing choices.
My request is to prioritize accessibility features (captioning, sign language support, visual description, mobility assists..) in Horizons so that people with disabilities (PWD) aren't left behind in the "gold rush" to monetize the metaverse. If there is no access, then PWD can't equitably participate and stay on top of learning this craft meaning the top creators are all going to be able-bodied gate-keepers... You speak to diversity in the HCC community but how many disabled creators have been featured here?
I second this. It would be great to have features that help those with disabilities
Finally, someone else advocating for accessibility in VR.
Never mind all that though, for visually impaired users at least, they won’t even be able to find the app. See, Meta does this really stupid thing on the quest where they make the menu turn white if you try to get close to it. No idea why they think this needs to happen, as it doesn’t happen on the PC client, only the quest. But anyway, for people like myself, who need to get close to things to read or even see them… well, let’s just say making the app accessible isn’t really important, if the store from which you purchase the app isn’t even accessible itself.

@@triplehelixxxvr I am sorry that you have having this experience. I am Deaf low vision myself and also struggle to read the text and navigate menus in VR despite having all the "large text" options on, many menus just don't adhere to the setting and have terrible font sizing / contract / menu placement. I have also experienced the same frustration of trying to get closer to interfaces and text to read only to have it disappear or clip. There is so much work to be done here. I continue to push and raise these concerns, I know they are shared by many and that the developers are listening but at the same time I don't think there is a big enough priority from the managers and the people who make the decisions on what features come first. It's ridiculous because providing accessibility is good business, you open up your product/service to a larger paying audience. Managers and bosses who do not prioritize accessibility are actually hurting their companies bottom line and need to be fired!
Are there any bad effect on vision? or eyes
It's just like crypto & NFTs, professionals get on CNN and say meta will fail to discourage the public while they invest millions in it

Ability to take "group"(boundle of objects and scripts = and item) in creation and extract that into another world or file which could be easily sent.
I also love worlds that give us the ability too fly and Jump. I would also love too see flight brought too the outside of the Plaza, And the design in the middle of the plaza that turns, I would love to see the colors stays. I love all the colors in the Plaza as it is. And more games. The Boomerangs have gone for almost 2 months. A section for basketball with 0 gravity👍. Checkers and Chess.

I consider it’d be great if that economy could also be used in real life, I consider that’s when it will have a great impact on society, because if it’s an economy that will only work inside in horizon, it would be only like just coins of any other game or app

When is Horizon Worlds coming to the rest of the world? They accidentally released it then pulled it again in the UK a couple of weeks ago so I'm hoping it's coming soon but I'm itching to start designing worlds!

Ill be honest, The way they seem to be going about this is the same way Roblox implements their Robux system... I don't have a problem with this, It can be made a lot different with the factors that its mainly focused on adults and experiences that aren't only games.
Can you sell nfts in the Horizon world?
I would love too be able too search worlds with my voice. If I can successfully build a world, I would build a memorial for my sister.

How no one suggested adding in one subdivide for geometry…that would open up so many possibilities
Many, many people have already asked for it on the forums. The app is still in beta, but I think they will get to adding more complicated modeling at some point!

Something i would love to see is real world object pass through. so for example, if i was holding a real world guitar to play music at an event, the Horizon world app + oculus head set would be able to see my real world instrument, and be able to automatically spawn a VR object to represent that insturment. and also have object settings to where you can save the object to a personal collection and modify the design of it. that would be AWESOME!

It is surreal all that can be done in this medium. I’m thinking some of us could have a lot of fun creating/pre-arranging our funerals in the meta verse... I could see my virtual avatar popping out of the coffin and regaling everyone with my stories one more time.

Kind of a funny story actually, when you do a thumbs up you get the thumbs up, and when you do double thumbs up you get the smiling emoji, and two hands in the air gives you confetti. Well the recording team forgot to turn off the Super Bowl emojis, and hence we got sports lol

Give currency for doing daily quests that promotes discovery like 1. Explore 3 minutes in a Horizon promoted new world. 2. Explore a Horizon favorite world. 4. Explore a random world where others are. I agree people shouldn't have to post their world on a Facebook group just to get a dozen new visitors.

Facebook/Meta creating their own internal patreon payment system might be the best way to do this... but essentially you can't gate content behind mandatory payment... it will essentially segregate the community and limit sharing entirely. They need to create a minecraft effect here... Obviously they are struggling.
Don't worry. Many of we builders have been asking for some monetization, but you don't have to use it, there will always be plenty of things to do for free, and you can build anything you want from scratch. The users seem optimistic!

Are comments being moderated? I've never seen ANY CZcams video with unanimously positive feedback - especially for such a socially harmful mindtrap like the metaverse.
This was a really good interview and the creators on this stage are genuine people. Maybe join Horizon and find a community and you’ll experience what so many others are connecting with people they normally never would have IRL
XD not by us actually, but CZcams does automatically move cussing and really bad comments into a "spam" folder, I checked it early on when this was posted and there was quite a bit. But to Carlos' point, Horizon Worlds is the most positive community. I hated Facebook, absolutely despised it. Then I joined Horizon Worlds and what I discovered was that the future of social didn't have to be hate comments on YT videos and FB posts, we could make genuine connections with real people. It's really surprising the humanity you'll find. Of course there's a few trolls, but the majority of people in Horizon are absolutely fantastic.
Furthermore, once you meet the people working for Meta, you realize they are genuine humans trying their best and are stuck dealing with the media. I genuinely hope Horizon Worlds can help change the negative view that has plagued the Facebook brand.
To your point though, I have spent the majority of the Covid Pandemic in Horizon Worlds making social connections. Which has been so fulfilling for that desire to connect with humans. But if I am being extremely honest, I am very afraid of people in the real world now. I'm actively pushing on that discomfort, but still going to the grocery store, or even the drive thru gives me mild panic attacks. I think it's a mixture of Covid and VR, so only time will tell how this all plays out. But I do believe we all need to be careful Shepard's of this new digital era as there are a lot of unknowns (which I'm sure people said with the onset of laptops and mobile phones too). :P To that point, mobile phones can definitely be a harmful mindtrap. 😬 But they can also be a Facetime call with family, so you know it's not all bad.
