  • Our well maintained 2005 Ram 3500 4x4 has the Cummins 24-valve 5.9L Common Rail Diesel (CRD) H.O. engine. At 187,000 miles, this engine is on its original turbocharger and fuel injectors. Routine service and fuel system cleaning are part of the reason. Driving technique, our vehicle storage method plus use of quality fuel additives also help.
In this video, I share how periodic cleaning of the fuel system and injectors contributes to longer injector life, better fuel efficiency and reliable service. The S.U.R.&R. cleaning system cleans the fuel system with the injectors in place. This method has proven its worth, contributing to an exceptional lifespan for our series of Bosch electronic injectors. Short of removing the injectors for commercial bench pressure testing and cleaning, this service works well as part of our routine maintenance.
