Hi Nick...thank you so much! I had been told by others that re skinning a drum was like hell, so I was pretty intimidated by the whole thing. Even after watching a few CZcams vids I was prepared to spend hours toiling over it all. I got my stuff organized and readied myself for the worst while watching some 'expert' who I had watched earlier guide me through. Then on a whim, I opened your videos and gave a watch and felt better about it all. I followed your simple well explained videos and it was sooo easy! I was like WTF!!! This is isn't hellish at all! Was just a matter of paying attention to some simple details. I credit your own experience and ease with the process. It was actually fun and I feel no trepidation what so ever to do it all over again if I decide I want a different skin or anything. Anyway THANKS from a happy hitter. Drum is sounding great. Kind regards. g

Hello... I have a small hole of 1.4 cm on skin of djembe, on the edge, close to the ring. How can I fix it? Should the entire skin be changed or it can be clogged in some way? Can I somehow to show you the picture of the djembe? Thank you...
You can send me a picture of your drum if you want. I suggest continuing to play the drum as is, if it sounds OK. Only replace the head when it splits or goes dead. There is no repair other than replacing the head. Sometimes hole make no difference.
