- Jordan North and William Hanson are an unlikely pair. They met at the BBC in 2012 and walked away assuming it would be a one-off. However, fate had other plans and today they are best friends and present a very successful podcast together called Help I Sexted My Boss. Each week, their listeners share hilarious dilemmas and Jordan and William respond with very different advice. The duo now have a sold-out tour and a companion book on sale now.
Jordan North recently left Radio 1 to present the Capital breakfast show and William Hanson is the UK’s number 1 etiquette expert.
Angela prepares a moreish Rarebit Mac ‘n’ Cheese for her hungry guests who are speechless after just one mouthful. The dish is paired with a Bourgogne Blanc Marc Dudet, a refreshing chardonnay chosen by the experts at Waitrose and just to William’s taste. Jordan opts instead for a can of Guinness.
Talk around the table turns to etiquette right away and William is on hand with all the facts. Our foursome chat about restaurants and family - and listen out for the culinary surprise that Nick and Angela have in store for Jordan at the end of the meal.

This podcast is an absolute godsend to me. I lost my mother 6 months ago and had to deal with all the associated nonsense while working full time. There's so much negative stuff on TV and online, then find this wonderful podcast. It relaxes me, makes me laugh, and makes me realise there are good times to come despite how crappy things are right now. Keep them coming...
I am very sorry for your loss!
My sister died last year very unexpectedly. She was only 39 years old. Since then I listened to a lot of podcasts. And this has been the only English one as I am German the other ones were German.
Sorry to hear that. Have a look for Jordan and Williams podcast called help I sexted my boss. Only if you're very open minded and into often childish smut and innuendos. It's brilliant though and is such a feel good podcast like this.
26:53 the level of disgust on William's face when Jordan said he's done a picky tea with Yorkshire puddings 😂
😍what a gorgey assortment of characters, chief among them: angela's iconic glasses 💛
I love a picky tea but my mum’s lazier option was always “ifits” - if it’s in the cupboard you can have it!
This is what I needed on a Friday ❤❤
Four lovely people having a lovely lunch and a lovely chat. This makes me so happy 😊
Great to watch a whole episode with Jordan and William 😊
I love Dish always but this was a fabulous episode. So much fun had.
Loved all the people in this video. I have been a big fan of William and Jordan for a long time but now I think I need to subscribe to The Dish.
William knows that “Cole” is referring to cabbage. He was being polite with that part of the conversation! Great episode !
Not so sure. When I listen to his and Jordan’s podcast there are quite a few things he doesn’t know/gets wrong. Not regarding etiquette but food or language.
Anyways thanks for clarifying.
I agree with you. Now that we make broccoli slaw etc. the ‘cole’ simply separates the veg type.
The chaos that is about the commence... Iconic!!!
Fantastic show!! Love it. Jordan and William are great characters 😂❤❤
Tea / dinner . . . omg, shouted with laughter!!! My Dad would have said that too, LOVE it, tar very much.
Lol, i just moved back to Scotland from London a couple of years ago. Brothers think i sound English and I'm still trying to get back into calling it Tea again
Laughing and enjoying this atmosphere. ❤ Love it!!!!
I've loved Nick and Jordan since their R1 days and had a fleetingly brief chat with Angela after Nick's book talk in Dalston in 2023. I'm a regular Dish listener and I'm gassed that the videos are available now.
Just absolutely love all 4 together. Would love a Grimmy/Jordan radio show!
Absolutely love this show, its always such a treat. Every episode its just another guest(s) that bring a huge smile to my face.
Though as a history nerd, I can't help but be pedantic and mention that the lisp story about the Habsburgs that William mentioned at the start is just a myth. 😄
I read an article years ago that The French House only does half pints, and now every time I think about half pints I think about The French House, so I was happy to hear it mentioned. 😊
Oh my gosh this is the group I needed
HUGE fan of this show. Love from austin, Texas USA ❤❤❤❤
Love William and Jordan. Never watched the dish but thought I’d give it ago because because I saw a clip of them on it. Really enjoyed and have now subscribed 🥰
Omg my two fave podcasts smashed loved it!
Another great episode - loved the banter and Angela's amazing laugh!
Peep the Pringles Can over Angela's left shoulder 🤣
This was lovely! Made me think of my late Nan and what we would have at her house often, a hot or cold 'bitsa'. Bits of this or bits of that. Cold usually being meat/cheese/crackers/salad/pickles and hot usually bacon/eggs/sausage meat etc. She never bought sausages, she hated the skin! Good memories and often have a 'bitsa' tea these days!
I have never come across this podcast. All I can say is that’s the most entertaining 25 minutes I’ve ever spent. It was wonderful and I love Jordan and William. I think the great together I think there shows good help by Sexted my boss I love all of it, and that was really good, take care guys have lots of🎉❤🎉
can i suggest to put an english caption? i ABSOLUTELY LOVE watching this show but its really hard for me (as a second spoken english and trying to learn the British accent) to understand some words that i can hardly hear even worse to understand:), thank you!
You can click on the CC at the top of the picture for subtitles. They’re not perfect but should help.
Oh bless you
The transcript is available with the description. I go there when I don’t understand a word or spelling. Cheers! 👍
The captions will auto translate for you ❤
Believe me it's hard for people in the south to understand
Love every episode!!!
Such a great episode! Love the picky tea moment. Growing up we called it “odds n ends” 🤭
So brilliant! Love these episodes. From America and we never say "girl dinner". Maybe nosh or nibbles or finger food, or if we get ambitious, we will create a charcuterie board. But I love calling it a picky tea!! Always so enjoy your conversations! Keep them coming!😎
Girl dinner is definitely younger/newer. I would’ve called it lazy charcuterie! But I agree picky tea sounds nicer jaja
Every man and their dog online says girl dinner in the US… unless of course you’re 45+. Or not online (which wouldn’t apply here). It’s filtered down to other non-US countries like UK and Au.
@@samblue1439ok, you got me. I’m in that 45+ category . I do very much like picky tea since as a Brit expat I’m already having some sort of tea most days in the late afternoon. It’s sort of a very late picky lunch.
I'm american and I've never heard any of these idk what yall are even talking about. Ig I'm a guy tho so idk😂
Spaniard here and we do put meat and fish in paella. Maybe not everywhere but it is not a capital sin in food terms!
My mum’s Spanish and she puts chorizo in Paella. Maybe she should be arrested?
@@agadoin 🤣🤣🤣 in today's woke world all is possible! Please delete your comment before your mum gets in trouble!!! All jokes aside, we put pork, chicken, prawns, clams and mussles when we make paella and it is divine! There was also something inaccurate in that potcast, when the blond guy said that we speak with a lisp in Spain because of some Spanish king in the past had a lisp. It is a myth.
@@madheremadthere4616 Yes that’s a silly myth. If it were true they would pronounce words like “Ethpaña” or “adioth”. He’s knowledgable about etiquette but not so much other things.
Great fun and informative too! (waistcoat buttons and lisps)
I located their podcast and will listen soon.
Awe cute to hear how they met and became friends.
FYI Coleslaw literally means cabbage salad. Kohl is German for cabbage
Absolutely loved this great group of people Jordan's the best thing that's happened to capital Williams funny 😂
love love this show
Best one yet
Love this series, two fab quests. Help, I sext my boss Podcast….
First time to listen to their podcast I listened to the 2023 round of of best episodes… (you have to listen to it) HILLLLAAAARRRRIIIOOOUUSSSSS
Jamie Oliver is not welcome in the Jamaica either or any millennials home (school dinners were never the same) 😂
10:39 I’ll never call Coq au vin anything else ever again 😂
"take the cloche" lol
I love Paella with Chorizo y Prawns 😅
Picky Tea Season 😂 so true!
Jordan essentially saying he likes girl dinner just confirms how perfect he is.
Just great fun all round 👏🏻🤣👍🏻🤣👌🏻
LOVE a “picky tea”, it’s what I’ve always called it. I live in Dublin, and I have to explain it to everyone!
lol my Diptyque candles make me feel like a grown up too
We call it snack dinner at our house - girl dinner is a lame trend.I’ve got a friend who calls it eurotrash dinner, which she means nicely. Picky tea is a good name!
This is amazing... only in UK.
I LOVE this podcast.❤ . Massively effective marketing. I would consider, but my nearest is just too far away. Plus can Waitrose compete with Aldi?
You are awesome❤ I love every episode but I'm begging you to add subtitles, automatic ones are horrible, please!!!
The transcript is linked in the description. I know it is not the same, but hope it helps :)
I love how they bring guests with all sorts of accents. Makes the podcast a lot more interesting. The more you hear them the more you get used to them
YES
Angela's infectious laugh should be a podcast on its own. She's hilarious.v
I'm never getting "lady petrol" out of my head
Right?? His mom is so iconic
I remember Julia Roberts in pretty woman calling it a carpet picnic.
We call a picky tea a buffalo, we actually call is a buffet but my son as a toddler called it a buffalo and it stuck.
Youd never know just before they filmed this podcast jordan got told he wouldnt ever be on radio one again. They didnt let him serve his notice so to speak and just booted him off the radio once he revealed he was moving to capital.
Cassoulet: kasooleh lol
LOVE
I would call it ‘nibbles’ and something I’d do if friends were coming over for a wine night. Or picky bits!
A “Yorkshire tea” in our house.
I think picky tea must be a northern term. Never had that in Wales growing up but we definitely had breakfast, dinner and tea
I’m shocked that William didn’t know the etymology of the word coleslaw! The “cole” is from the Dutch word “kool” meaning cabbage.
We call picky tea, "odds and sods".
Oh holy mother of Jesus Christ almighty what way are ye drinking the Guinness 😭 🤣
Please post the Saoirse - Monica Jackson episode
Wait, so does that mean y’all dropped the pear and the Caribbean dropped the avocado?!
Ahhh, my favourite british gays!! 😍🥰
Hey guy. Have you both ( Angela & Chris) would you go on Cooking with the stars.. You be a great DUO... and Angela. Caio from Bardi.. ❤
William - if in doubt, do you make it up?
We are all aware that in Spain, there are regional variations for how certain letters are pronounced, and either pronunciation of chorizo is acceptable.
However, your confidence / commitment is hugely entertaining. A complete joy!
We call a picky tea a beige buffet
Never heard of a "Picky Tea" and I'm from Wakefield, like William's husband, Mikey.
I think it's just something Jordan made up him being from Wakefield. I think at most he was born there but isn't from there as such.
Loved this! A really great combination of food and banter. Whoever did the subtitles needs to check their spellings. Quite atrocious.
*runs out to buy picky tea….
Oooh I love a Guinness (preferably on tap). I’ll sometimes have a black and tan when out, and I like to make a fancy Guinness punch with condensed milk for special occasions (very delicious and ridiculously high in calories;))
We call it freezer tapas 😂
Lisping King: Myth
Is this Angela’s real kitchen or is it a studio set?
It is a studio
I wonder if they were starving hungry ...
If Jordan's Mum is in Spain she is on the CAVA, not the Prosecco. Cava is Spanish CHAMPAGNE and prosecco the inferior Italian sparkling wine.
Lost my sh.t at “met another homosexual who doesn’t know what a sous vid is”!!!! So deadpan.
Wrong again, there is a paella called “Mari-montaña” which means sea-mountain that you mix seafood and meat, and that is the best one than the paella of Valencia which is only with veggies and meat. Mistake of Jamie was that he used chorizo just because it looks more “spanish”.
The lisp story is a myth... not true but it is funny.
you should get Claudia Jessie from Bridgerton on your podcast! She loves food!(especially Bibimbab) it would be perfect
Henry VII? Not Henry VIII? Or Edward VII even?
In america we call it a gilgener? Wtf is that
Please have a vegan guest. 🙏
Why do i feel like jordan is in love w willian
they both seem a bit in love with each other tbh
They do love each other, but in a brotherly way. I know it gives off a different vibe, but they are just extremely good friends. Watch their podcast (Help I sexted my boss) and you will know what I mean.
This feels a very gay episode
Well half the people in it are homosexuals 🤣.
Talk about coat tailing WH ….he’s not a god ,Nick ….( just ‘slightly’ pretentious!) …just sayin …..🤷🏼♂️
