      Actually it's not personally Putin puts soviet flags. The reason, as I see, is determined by needs of propaganda. You see, Putin's regime exploits national memory about WWII, they corrupted it, made a lot of people think, that only Soviet Union fought the nazis alone abondoned by allies, some even think that whole Europe was nazies, so it was war between evil Europe and USSR the liberator. And now regime also exploits this memory to justify this war, telling that there is nazi regime in Ukraine, and soviet flag is used as a symbol of war against the nazis. Picture of soviet soldier putting soviet flag on Reichstag is very famous in Russia, so it hits needed association in minds.

      @johnsmithe4656 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@TheAxeaman The Russian people have NEVER owned the means of production, nor has the monetary system ended. Communism was never actually implemented in Russia / USSR. Lenin tried some things to pay lip service to it, but in the end the government abandoned it, especially under Stalin. There has never been an actual Communist government. It may simply be untenable. If you look at what Marx had in mind, it's nothing like what we saw from the Soviet Union. Show me a country that has ended money and classes. I mean, come on now.... it's a bit unrealistic.
      Furthermore, Russia is now a capitalist oligarchy, it does not even pretend to communism anymore. That does not mean, however, that Putin does not love the old Soviet Union and that he does not want to restore its former glory. He doesn't care about the political philosophy. But then the guys before him really didn't either. Again, only Lenin actually got anywhere close. It was never about the communism. It was always about the power.
      This clip is 100% accurate.
      Putin reinstated the Soviet National Anthem in 2003, BTW. He also stated that the fall of the Berlin Wall was the "greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 21st century" -- as if Hitler had never happened. Putin is literally trying to put the Soviet Union back together, starting with Ukraine. He's been at it for over 20 years.

If something aged well, it means that the joke or commentary still have relevance outside of the original context. In the case of this Simpson's joke it aged not only very well, but aged like wine, meaning it's very relevant to the point of being prophetic. If something doesn't age well, it means that it doesn't have relevance outside of it's original context or in fact is borderline anachronistic. something aging very poorly is said to have "Aged like milk." in that it's spoiled, and effectively something to be avoided, potentially cringe inducing.
