😮The root cause of gunda Raj is the inefficiency of our law and judiciary. When a murder case is proved beyond doubt, the culprits get very light punishments. The trial and conviction (if any) often takes four or five years. They get all freedom in jail and get parole as and when they require. Gundas are often proteges of politicians. They get out of the jail and indulge in the profession again.
Almost in all cases, gundas get bail before trial/conviction.
People are scared of standing😮 witness against them for fear of life because they are not sure whether the gundas get capital punishment. The judges are very keen and careful to find any loophole in charge sheet or prosecution to set free the gundas. Capital punishment itself is a mockery. The witness's life would be under constant threat .
Because of such uncertainties, police feel disappointed to deal with such cases properly.
Moreover they often get intimidated from different corners.
We can console ourselves that every state gets the government they deserve.
(This is not about any particular state. This is about the law and order and judicial system of India).
