    Bisky has been using her powers the entire month to refresh them. She basically condensed the year of training she thought was required to complete Netero's task.

    Gon’s “fight to kill” against knuckle is just a natural evolution of what we’ve seen him do to Hanzo in the hunter exam

    I believe Bisky was trying to give Killua the final push. she knew he'd need a lot of willpower to overcome his inner challenges and he was getting too complacent waiting around and relying on his training from his youth. as harsh it was, I don't really see any other alternative for her in trying to get through to him that he needed to reframe his approach.

    To me, the Killua dilemma isn’t so much about retreat being a bad thing because it’s not, it’s moreso about retreat not being the ONLY option in the event of victory not being assured. Killua doesn’t have any problem fighting when he’s confident that he’s stronger than his opponent, but he’s incredibly risk-averse. They’re reaching a level in their development/journey where the outcome of any given battle isn’t always going to be predictable and it’s important to be able to stand and make an attempt, at least to gather information, even if ultimately you decide it’s best to retreat. It’s like when you go from the early years in school and every question on a test has a single, clear, correct answer vs when you move into the later grades and there are multiple potential answers depending on how you approach the question vs adult life where there’s no mark scheme at all. If you’re paralysed by a lack of certainty of victory/success, you can’t advance beyond a certain point. If Killua always assume from the get go that any remotely strong opponent is too strong for him, he doesn’t get the chance to learn anything. It’s a defeatist mentality. And unfortunately it’s true that it puts Gon at risk too because Gon is assuming he’s got someone watching his back, which may not be the case if Killua is retreating or frozen.

      Yeah makes total sense. It took me a while to get here but the way I finally summarized it was "the body retreats the spirit does not." Retreat is a tool of war. Panic (for example) isn't

    If it's reach the full potential, actually, Jajanken will be more difficult to deal with when I had a second thought.
    Rock was an Enhancer, Scissor was a Transmuter and Paper was an Emitter.
    You can't carelessly went at Gon. If it was a Scissor, you will be cut in half. If it was a Rock, it's a one hit KO, if it was a Paper, then you will be forced to make a move or knock it off.
    When Gon prepared himself to go for one of three choices, he can bluff heavily on the opponent. He can fake it out, like saying "Rock" but then it was Scissor instead. Quite a mental ability more than its childish and simple look.

    Feel like this really puts into perspective the power scaling in the show at that point. Gon < knuckle < morel/knov < netero < guards < king.
    Its ridiculously courageous of them to even attempt to fight the guards and the king!

      In terms of raw aura capacity and physical strength all of them with the exception of netero are more of a match for the squadron leaders. Feel like this isn't stressed quite enough in this arc.

    I mean, I don't see how the Zoldyck's love, in this case, Illumi's love being controlling, lying, manipulating, poisoning, torturing; doesn't make it love. love isn't a positive or negative thing. it's just a feeling. any feeling can be used constructive or destructively. I have no doubt that the Zoldycks love Killua. love isn't a good or evil thing, it's how you use it. afterall, think about how many abusive parents do love their children; whether their abuse is physical, mental or both, it's still love. an evil, twisted, self-serving love.
    to quote Jujutsu Kaisen, what Satoru said about Suguru when talking to Okkotsu about his bond with Rika during JJK 0: "I believe that love is the most twisted 'curse' of all."

    When the "someday you'll leave Gon behind to die" was presented I really didn't see where Bisky was coming from, been watching a ton of reactors take on it since but I still feel it was too harsh, plus, people don't know but he already went ahead and even knocked Gon out so they didn't die in NGL when Pitou killed Kite, it was such a threat they were instructed to leave and he still had it him to stop him AND take him to run, his brother does has a strong influence on him, but even with his family wanting him to go on one direction he left them to follow his own path, it is a weakness to fight with the premise of scaping, specially when you're fighting with people who rely on you, I see why Bisky worries but there were times where it was Killua's actions who saved the situation so that plus everything else, it feels like an unfair assessment imo, i feel very mixed things from this situation too

    • @AGoodwinTV
      @AGoodwinTV  Před měsícem +7

      I guess what makes it so difficult is that there's a part of each of their outlook that makes sense, and the right moves will largely depend on the situations they encounter, which they can't predict.
      Sometimes escaping is 100% the right move. Sometimes it's not. And either way you don't want your spirit to be crushed before you even begin doing what you have to do.

    • @Dell-ol6hb
      @Dell-ol6hb Před měsícem +2

      It's a complicted situation for sure but I honestly think Bisky was being harsh with Killua to push him to make a change in the way he thinks and approaches fights, as she says this habit he has will be very hard for him to break so by putting the idea in his mind of him potentially abandoning Gon in the future or having to separate from Gon if he can't beat Shoot she gives him the push he needs to overcome this weakness of his.

      It's implied that Hisoka killed her to remove her hatsu from Chrollo's book. It was the cornerstone of Chrollo's victory. He also killed the owners of two other nen users whose hatsu Chrollo used in the fight. Hisoka is removing all the pieces Chrollo played with. Hisoka wants a fight where neither is sure of victory.
