This is my favorite fight in all of Bleach!
There's a deeper meaning behind Ichigo's final resolve towards the end of the battle when Grimmjow said, "I will be king". It's a reminiscence to the very same words White said to Ichigo at their last encounter.

So, it should be obvious by now, but the reason why Orihime is actually scared of masked Ichigo (besides her gentle nature and her trauma from being attacked by her dead brother turned Hollow) is because Ichigo resembles the Hollows A LOT more than his usual self, but this resemblence is not just visual. As stated by Harribel, Ichigp's Reiatsu resembles an Espada member instead of a Shinigami. And if you look at Ichigp's approach to fighting you will see just how more aggressive and unrestrained he has become compared to his fight with that ex-Espada member. It should also be obvious by now that the amount of power and control over said power that ichigo gets from the mask has been steadily increasing, and it's even reflected in the mask's design which originally only had 3 claw like red marks as it's pattern, but now these red patterns almost completely cover the left side of the mask.
Also, think about this for a bit. Orihime, the reason why Ichigo and the others came to Hueco Mundo in the first place is standing right there. Ichigo could've just grabbed her and Nel and ran away. It's not like Grimmjow would be able to do much to him if Ichigo focused on running and Orihime would stop any incoming attacks with her shield. There is even a possibility Grimmjow simply would give up on chasing at all. And yet Ichigo chose to stay and fight. Didn't even tell Orihime to find the others and leave. This is how much Ichigo changed as a character in a very short time.
This is one of the first reactions I've been able to follow. Can't wait to see the next set of stuff.

Bleach fights have a tendency to get "unbalanced" at some point, but Ichigo vs Grimmjowv round 3 was perfectly matched, a great one!

why do you think aizen allowed grimjow to kidnap orihime, attack ulqiuora, and fight ichigo with all his power in his palace? was it to see what ichigo could do, or was it because he had another plan in his mind?
everybody thinks ichigo gain immense power because he heard orihime said "don't get hurt anymore" but actually it doesn't. first he was holding back because orihime fear his hollow form and when he all-out orihime and nel could hurt from his power. there was another reason why he could heal after dead and gain power which is same reason why orihime and chad gain her power at first.

Still think they shouldn't have made the plot armor night and day at the end but absolutely love the fight over all. Of course the MC has to win but It was kind of odd how it was done, Grimmjow is one of my favorite anime characters of all time but still.
I agree. I wish like before ichigo attacked started talking about his friends and like a dark aura of his power shrouds him or something tapping deeper into his potential. Something.

@@mattprice302 Ignore him, he just blocks out logic. Ichigo and grimmjow going back and forth just for grimjows hand/ultimate technique just slashed through was hilarious..and terrible. Hell what were those things going to hit? He didn't even have to touch them with his sword.

I prefer English dub Grimmjow, but sub Orihime’s don’t die speech kills the dub version. The best performance in either dub or sub is As Nodt in TYBW, just in general (people please don’t spoil it for him).
