I've been watching your videos for a while now, and I just realized the way you hold your chopsticks is so unique! You don't use your index finger to hold the chopstick. Of course, there's no right or wrong way to hold a chopstick--the most important thing is that the food gets in your mouth. Really enjoyed this video. Keep up the great work!

That's so yummy. Really want to come back to VN for vegetarian food. I have been eating vegetarian for almost 1.5 years. There are not a lot of choices here. One cannot cook at home these delicious menus, which costs a ton of time. Hope that the pandemic stress and the pandemic itself is quickly gone in Vietnam :(.
An chay food in Vietnam is so delicious surprisingly with so many choices and varieties. I love lotus seed fried rice from Hanoi

Thank you. Papaya in a spring roll is to die for. Can I offer a couple English tips though? Yes, we definitely say "some are" when the word some is treated as a noun (with rare exceptions). However, when used as an adjective-- as in "some food" (where food is obviously a noun)-- it's the status of the noun which determines whether you say is or are. So since food here is singular, you'd say "some food is," but if it were plural you'd say "some foods are."
We also say either "how it tastes" or "what it tastes like," but never "how it tastes like." This is because of grammar rules. The word how is an adverb (a word that typically modifies either a verb or an adjective). In the case of "how it tastes," the word tastes is the verb, modified by the word how. How does it taste? So we wouldn't then turn and also try to use an adjective to modify the verb too. And in "tastes like," the word like is an adjective. Adjectives don't modify verbs. They only modify nouns or pronouns. That's where the word what comes in, as a pronoun. Like what? Tastes like what? So just like you would never ask, "Tastes like how?," you would never say, "How it tastes like." I want to know what it tastes like. I want to know how it tastes. These are the acceptable forms.

I live in the upstate NY and our vegan food leaves much to be desired. I ate a tofu vegan hotdog once and threw up. I also ate Vietnamese vegan food at the nearby, local Buddhist temple. If I can have the Vietnamese vegan food every day, I would turn vegan in a heartbeat.

Just to update a little : Normally vegan consists of allium (without egg ,milk and honey) and vegetarian consists of egg ,milk and honey (without allium). Hence i think it's a vegan restaurant. Keep it up the good work (:

Hi Van. I really enjoy watching your video's. I wonder if there are areas in the north where one can live with easy access to organic fresh foods (rau cải, thức ăn sạch và tươi), and they can be easily grown in the area, what it's like living in the area as well. So it would be so great if you can make video's on this topic. It sparked my interest when I saw a footage a few years ago about the beaiutiful sông Đà where the farmers brought their fish there so that they have organic fish from there to sell in the future (I forgot what kinds of fish they are).

My Indian husband recently turned vegetarian. He is planning to go full vegan soon. And I am very worried about his health, especially skin and hair. When we did his blood test and nutritional analysis, it said that he is a meat eater. Looks like all arguments are falling on deaf ears, and he isnt turning back. How do I keep him healthy? My advice is to ask the doctor, he will keep a more proper answer. I know a lot of people who go all out for vegan but it really depends on the health condition. I wish you and your husband healthy and safe!
