The skill level and obvious love of the game blew me away when I saw the mascots all take off their heads then, as pros, skate circles around little kids, but do it in the EXACT perfect way such that the kids were amazed to see the skills, but still got to actually play the game. Seemed like the kids loved it

Watching the Russian players surprise their fans really shows how how the Russian people are no different then ourselves. Some people seem to forget that in these times, given the leader they currently have. I feel terrible for all the innocent lives being ruined by the current situation, in both Ukraine and Russia
I understand that these guys are pros and are obviously way more comfortable with their own kit, but if they're going undercover shouldn't they just use rental skates and a budget stick?
This is fun. Thing is, I would only recognize a few famous people if I met them in the street. And these guys are wearing helmets, gear, etc. So they'd be difficult to pick out when in street clothes.
Its kinda of funny seeing the reaction and almost nonchalant reaction from kids in the North America towards their sports heroes, compared to European kids and big name soccer players.. _ there seems to be such an open emotional LOVE toward the soccer (football) fans and players.
