It’s one of Methodism’s best kept secrets. Ocean Grove, New Jersey is a spot along the shore that has come to be called “God’s Square Mile” because of its beauty and its community of believers who use the location to spend time rejuvenating their spirit through worship, Bible study, and other activities. Founded as a permanent camp meeting in 1869, 660 tents once stood on the grounds. That number is closer to 118 now, but the meeting’s mission remains robust: to revive people so they go back to their home churches with new excitement for the Lord.
In this exclusive video, locals give a tour of this unique piece of church history. It’s definitely one of the sites every United Methodist should see: www.umc.org/who...

There are times in our lives that God's helpers cry out to us, but we; as simple humans, stop and brush the moment off as if it's a mosquito or something, and go about our business. Why are we in such a hurry? Why can't we feel & listen to the voice of our god for the good of the moment? Are we that pressed for time and money? Ask yourself. Is my prayer life all in order?

Everyone benefits from nature but not everyone benefits from organized religions--- which are tax exempt. The Methodists in command of OG might benefit from restraint in their attempts to force people who live there to abide by their particular religious views. It's a tricky thing when public access is controlled by self-righteous entitlement.
