Pre-race scalping is one of the most popular areas to start when learning how to trade in the markets. As this video shows, pretty much anyone can have a go...
    IN THIS VIDEO:
Several areas of scalping are briefly over-viewed.
    - What is Betfair scalping?
    - How scalping strategy works on Betfair.
    - Example of some successful scalping trading.
Learning to scalp successfully can take a fair amount of time, but with the resources available the path to success could be far quicker.
When a trader looks to 'scalp' the market they are effectively looking to take 1, 2 or sometimes 3 ticks out of the market quite quickly - for limited risk.
This is done with the use of sports exchanges. An exchange is required as you will need to place both back and lay bets on the same selection. Much like any other form of trading, you are aiming to buy and sell at different prices to obtain a profit.
For more technical, in-depth information, see the link at the top of this video description.
Also; if you have a scalping question that you would like to put forward please mention it below. Thanks for watching!

Caan at 12.22 i know that all that money got matched due to cross matching but do you know what caused the cross matching to kick in? I saw it seemed to show a 17k lay on the favourite, was that the cause? I understand cross matching kicks in to stop there being an overround on the lay side but 99.4% seemed a bit early.

Hi Caan. Which method of trading on horses is most profitable for you. Is it swing trading, scalping or back to lay in play? Presume it is probably one of the first 2 and what percentage of races a day do you use each strategy?

Great video, maybe a bit unrelated but I was wondering what is the best website for doing pre match research on horses and also what is the best software to cut out the 5 second waiting time in Betfair? You know I'm looking for something that cashes you out as soon as you click the button so in case the market moves against me I can get out asap. Thanks in advance

@@CaanBerryProTrader thanks for your answer, so there is now way of getting out of horse races quickly if things start going against me? As I did find that it can be quite frustrating sometimes because I can click to cash out for a loss and I can't because the market changes so quickly

    Love your work Can
How about making one about how arbers can make a load of the Betfred pushes. Given the correct title I am sure it would get 1000s of views. I have explained it to many but sure you with screen shots would do it better on CZcams.

sometimes betfair , does not allow to enter in a trade at certain stake, then it becomes late to enter. do you know why? or which ways to avoid it, is there any ways to set a a stake to open a trade as soon as the market reach it?

@@CaanBerryProTrader For example in tennis if the odd of a player is above1.80, then I am waiting for this odd to go further down to back around 1.60's, but sometimes Betfair bounces back not opening my trade , trade is cancelled, when I try to reopen the ood already got 1.20's that is too late. My question is: is there any ways to place a pending order before it reaches 1.60's, like in other markets like forex?

@@ngolamotep9715 the market has to pass through the odds your after ... for you to get matched ... if the market doesn't match what you wanted you should reassess your strategy ..... surly forex dosent allow you to dictate what you want ?? If that is the case I'm practicing with the meta trader 5 software right now .... however I've sort of got the feeling your mistaken

Not complaining Caan. Maybe this proves I could have a mental barrier, and a misunderstanding of the amount of turnover you need to make in my mind a small amount. So in mind I thought a good return on stake would be 3-6% per trade, but maybe it's more like 0.3-0.6% per trade then do that 20-40 times per day equates to between 6-24% return on stake per day. Anything within that region is a good return. Thanks for setting my mind straight.

It's ok if you have a 10 grand bank but most people trying scalping will have a 300 quid bank and get bummed by the likes of Peter Webb and yourself. Plus an API freeze would be suicide job. Make a vid with a realistic bank or its pointless.
