Probably the best quality available in the internet. Source files says that it's DVDrip, but it's really a TVrip. Old "flv-format" videos was replaced with the new "avi". Now it's in 640x480 resoluion (except the last two episodes - for some reason they are in 352x288) with smoother framerate and correct aspect ratio. Please enjoy first mature role of Bruce Lee in US, when for the first time all world saw, what the Kung-Fu is.

Passed away Nov 28 at age 82. Just got announced today from family and friends that he in fact died last week.
Cause of death was renal dysfunction. He lost a kidney when he was 25 and lived the rest of of his life with one kidney.
Shame the Green Hornet series isn't on home video perfect or not.
You would think with the Bruce Lee tie-in it would be a shoo-in.
I was surprised nothing came of a home video release when the Rogen film was released in 2011... There was a marathon week of GH episodes on SyFy around the time of the movie's release. The movie, of course, did NOTHING to elevate the public awareness of the character OR really help sell the character to a new generation.
The only Green Hornet I've seen put on home video recently was a grey market feature film that mostly Kato scenes culled from the TV series...

The Green Hornet was a million times better than the Batman tv show which was on tv around the same time. Van Williams was cool, suave, and dangerous as the Green Hornet and what hasn’t been said about Bruce Lee’s portrayal of Kato. The action scenes were so fast paced and kinetic thanks to him and because of that Bruce Lee introduced American audiences to martial arts on television. I also loved how the Green Hornet operates and acts like a crime boss in order to conduct his vigilante crusade. I also think the Black Beauty and all of the Hornet’s gadgets were much cooler in comparison to Batman’s from his show. I think we can all agree that Kato would absolutely destroy Robin in a fist fight which is why I never agreed with the actual outcome of the duel they had when the Green Hornet guest stared in Batman’s show. Overall I think this tv show should’ve lasted a lot longer than just one season. The storyline’s were interesting, the acting was great, and the action was top notch especially for the time period. It’s a shame the Green Hornet was overshadowed by Batman when it was clearly the better tv series out of the two.

@@dariowiter3078 I loved Batman more as a kid, but as I grew older and rediscovered the old radio shows and movie serials of my parents' generation, I fell in love with TGH and gained much appreciation for the TV series as well. It really was a lot like those older stories. Maybe that's why it seemed to miss a target demographic. Adults of the 1960's had "outgrown" the old radio shows and serials, and kids (though by no means all of them!😁) found Batman more fun and exciting. Batman's campy humour also appealed to many adults, while flying over most kids' heads. I remember watching it with my parents, who would laugh out loud and then have to explain to "kid me" why, so I learnt some things too. In that way it was a show for the whole family. Had The Green Hornet TV show come out 10 or 15 years earlier, I'm sure it would have been a big hit with that generation of young people. The stories and characters were much better and more realistic than Batman. I still wish Van and Bruce had got at least 1 more season!

+William Perkins I liked GREEN HORNET better than BATMAN, though I loved watching BATMAN, too. GREEN HORNET was similar & different at the same time. Both series were by GREENWAY PRODUCTIONS.
Both were narrated by William Dozier.
Both Batman and Green Hornet had secret identities and both had hidden lairs with secret entrances.
While BATMAN was campy with a silly theme song that was easy for us to sing along with (Just one word, "Batman" repeated over again), GREEN HORNET was more serious, beginning with a more exciting theme song (played by Al Hirt) that said "action & excitement ahead". While Batman fought villains that were as amusing as they were dastardly, the Green Hornet fought cold-blooded criminals. The Green Hornet dealt with murders that needed to be solved. The show was almost like MANNIX. Green Hornet was strictly no-nonsense.
This isn't to say that I didn't enjoy BATMAN. I did and I even got BATMAN-THE COMPLETE SERIES on Blue-Ray DVD. (I wonder why, while keeping their secret identities secret, did Green Hornet call his assistant "Kato". That would've been like Batman calling Robin "Dick Greyson" while fighting crime in costume.)
