    For anyone finding stairs a challenge, descending is usually worse than ascending, you can see where you might fall so try this, turn round and come down backwards, as you would a step or loft ladder. It feels so much safer.

    I am 72 and working hard to improve my glutes. I found the burn for the first time doing the “hard” exercise just 5 times three sets. Thanks….

    I am just shy of 60, been very physical in a manual job all of my working life and this exercise really helped instantly....I can really feel the muscles get tired so they target the areas required....a must for me

    Hi Will. I'm a 59-year-old and really appreciate your videos. I work out at a gym, and it seems like a lot of the exercises you recommend have a counterpart in some gym weight machine. Wouldn't the machine that works on my gluts (hip abductor) be comparable to these exercises? Maybe you should mention which machines would help achieve the same results? Thanks for all your videos.

    I’ve enjoyed these videos and have given several of them a workout. This one is timely as I was just thinking my hips need help(I’m 70). As soon as I saw what the problem was, I knew immediately that’s what my knees were doing. I’m starting on this one right away!

    Well! I've just realised after watching this that although lve done similar l don't have my knees apart with the band ..No wonder l can do loads while l watch TV. I'm seriously going to do it properly tonight. Thanks for such a well demonstrated video Will it's put me right. 👍

    One of the biggest issues I am having called Waddle Gait / Myopathic Gait .
    Looking for exercises , and to walk normal.
    I have been to Pt 2 different times and I end up doing the same ole exercise but nothing advance .

    I have a clicking sound in my knee and hip on the left side, but only when i climb stairs. Why is that happening and how can i fix it? Im 51, f.

    Im 79 and cant even put trousers on without help. I had a laminectomy and fusion done in my late forties . Had nursed for many years and taking a patient to a different hospital with only ambulence driver in a automatic ambulance and trying to self push i injured my back. Trouble id only been in south africa 3 years and couldnt get accident help. Nightmare

    Thankyou very helpful. Can you do standing abductor movements without a band to improve the upper gluteal muscles? This is so you can do these exercises when you are not at home. Wendy

    I sm a follower your superb videos. Like to ask you instead of an elastic band can i use a rigid band or Yoga loop ( non elastic). Even in sitting position, pressing hands on the knees against the outward stretch of knees (isometric ) creates a good tension
    Your advise please.

    I just discovered your video from a year ago about the only exercise you need to strengthen your glutes. My question is how do I perform this exercise while lying on my side as I have had extreme hip bursitis for almost 20 years? It makes lying on my side very painful. Are there exercises to get rid of hip bursitis once and for all? I’m 65 and would appreciate your help. Love your channel. ❤️

    I completely avoid stairs , esp coming downstairs due to osteoarthritis in my knees . I’m not sure if the exercises would help ?

    Hi, I did tkr six months ago, but the out lower part of my knee hurts when getting up from a chair or sit to stand exercise or moving it in certain position. Will this pain go away eventually. My next appt to see my ortho dr is in November 2024
    My physio therapist don't seem to know the answer. Please help

    Is this sade to do with an L5 S1 injury. I had an MRI in Feb this year as i injured my back on the leg press at the gym. 21mm disk bulge and had pain down my right leg into my foot. Ive been doing hydrotherapy and now in my last week of physio in the gym however im not realy receiving much guidance for when i leave on Thursday. . Basically on my own. Still getting chronic pain and in my lower back on the right with a tightness, locked up feeling and numbness, and some grabbing in my buttoch and thigh. Due to a medical autoimmune disease, i can't really rely on anti-inflamatories (not that i want to any way). Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. I love yoga and pilaties however flextion excercise syill upset it atm.

    Will, you are a great physio! But, aren't you going a bit far saying that the stairs hurt! I can understand sympathy for animals, perhaps even plants! But sympathy for stairs is a step too far!😂😅😊
