I am affiliated with the Medical Industry. When I heard that the princess had extensive " major abdominal surgery. My first thought was " Cancer ". Let's respect her privacy. AS a two time veteran of Colon cancer. My dear Lady Kate, l couldn't be more concerned and heart broken to hear of your diagnosis , and completely understand the trauma and struggle enduring abdominal surgeries as l have myself endured, 4 abdominal surgeries as a result, and ongoing results of 2 bowel resections, and 1 case of bowel collapse, due to large amount of scar tissue.
I can., my dear princess is pray to our heavenly Father to grace you with a swift v recovery, and a magnificent victory in your upcoming battle.
And saddley Mam, your in for a BONIVIED battle, the likes you have no idea that last ahead of you. Doctors can warn you, but living thru this fight cannot be verbally express, nor without explain.

I thought she had cancer but was hoping she didn’t. A major abdominal surgery sounded like they were removing a mass with such a long recovery too.
This actually sounds much better. The cancer sounds like it wasn't even noticed until postoperative pathology was done. That is positive news that it was found early. Prayers for her.❤❤❤

I was just dx with colon cancer at the sigmoid. 3 months to heal after surgery. Surgery is on the 27th. My guess is same with Kate based on what she said. Remove the cancer and follow up with preventative chemo or radiation. Same thing my doctor said to me. Prayers and healing energy to Kate and family. You got this! I'm sure she still feels pretty rough so the media needs to honor her request. Let her figure it out and when she is ready to speak, she will.

On February 6, I underwent surgery to treat Stage 1 lung cancer. The surgery was laproscopic and a section of the lung was removed. Five days later I was released from hospital. The pathologist's report indicated no lingering cancer cells and no follow-up or adjutant chemotherapy was required or recommended. The point is, even lung cancer, if caught early enough - early detection is much more achievable now than even 10 years ago - can be successfully treated. Nobody can say whether I'll remain free of cancer, but statistics suggest that, when caught at Stage 1, I have an 80% chance of remaining free of lung cancer for at least 5 years. As a former smoker, the most frightening two words I ever imagined hearing were 'lung cancer'. Yet I'm nearly 100% recovered from what amounted to a minor inconvenience. This isn't to trivialize this sort of diagnosis, rather to emphasize that cancer is not necessarily the nightmare it once was.
At this point, she had to say something before the news got out, from whoever tried to access her medical records at the London Clinic. She had to take control of the narrative now, before it is too late.
That’s right. For a group of people so keen on leaking stories, they must’ve understood they could not keep this under wraps for long.

A Cancer diagnosis is very overwhelming and patients deserve a right to process and share their health issues only with those they choose. Shame on the celebrities who mocked Princess Catherine in some way in the last few weeks. Notably Kim Kardashian, Stephen Colbert, Jon Oliver and Blake Lively. At least Blake (a mom of young children herself) had the good graces to issue a public apology.
Dosnt make it right though and I'm not a particular fan of these people and their behaviour has reinforced that and being " celebs" does not give them special privileges to talk rubbish about someone and something they know nothing about.
