This list is SUPER weak. So many worse Hasbro Marvel Legends should be on here instead. GOTG Iron Man is a decent comic accurate figure. Just because you do not like the suit design that does not mean the figure sucks. In that same wave you got two far worse figures, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora.
I was cleaning mould lines from a model kit while watching this. I had a sharp knife millimetres from my fingertips when that list jingle suddenly crashed through my headphones at 5:47. I'm still amazed I didn't slice off a chunk of flesh.
I didn't really think those figures were Worst 10 Worthy. Reasonable people will disagree, though. Was it a let down? Sure. Overpriced? YES. But I didn't think they were Worst of the era.
Toy Galaxy, they didn't look too bad to me ither. I wouldn't mind them if A: Jean and Angel's eyes were painted straight, B: Beast's hands had articulation, C: they all had ankle pivot, and D: they were affordable.
Thomas Joseph Gagliardi I have the box set and I like it! It looks clean and I keep it in the box so the articulation, or lack there of, doesn't bother me. I have most every xmen box set including the ones from the 90s and I have a soft spot for them lol so maybe I'm biased.

Well you had 3 of the actual worst figures from the Hasbro line. White Queen, Punisher/Fury, Ultimate Wolverine. Maybe even Banshee, but you are criticizing the character more than the figure. Here are some alternate points you could have made: X-3 Beast- While the figure was fine as a stand alone, his scale is laughably small, even in the movie line. X-3 Jean Grey- It is even worse than the other early Hasbro female bodies. Surprised this wasn't #1 Namor (Ronan series)- articulation and scale nightmare Mr Fantastic (Ronan series)- It is a fascinating idea, execution was poor. Why hasn't he just been made into a BAF with swappable parts by now Absorbing Man (Fin Fang Foom)- mini carl creel with effects Ultimate War machine- You want to talk about uninspired characters? How about a repaint of a super specific figure that was a super peg-warmer. This makes Blizzard and Eel using the same body as a masterpiece.
I'd pick the Nova from Nemesis Series (by the way, that whole wave was SO cheap and poorly executed). The new Nova figure that came out a couple of years ago is so much better! And, Dan, make a "Top 10 Marvel Legends: Peg-Warmers". First place would be Hawkeye from Odin Series. He's fucking everywhere. Deservedly.
no no no, that jacket body does not have toybiz era hips, it has early Hasbro era hips which are far worse. and while a few of the figures do belong on the list, I'd say that none of the figures from 2012-now should be on there. the first Hasbro namor was atrocious, Emma frost and ultimate wolverine you were right about. nemesis wave black bolt was really bad. the hulks in the fin fang foom wave were all really bad (except king hulk), 2 pack wolverine I agree with, nemisis wave daredevil (yellow) was really bad too, ultimate iron man and war machine are hideous, nemesis wave beast, nemesis wave Nova. I'm sure I could say more, but all of those definitely belong on this list. lol

As a die-hard fan of DOCTOR STRANGE, I have to attest that the Hulkbuster Strange IS 100% accurate to have NOT come with the Cloak of Levitation. Strange gave the Cloak (and EYE of Agamotto) to BROTHER/DOCTOR VOODOO when Strange gave up the title of Sorcerer Supreme. Ironically, Voodoo NEVER used the Cloak. Instead, letting it just hang around his Hounfour (that's the voodoo equivalent of the Sanctum Sanctorum). The only truly bad thing about Hulkbuster Strange is that they molded his sash directly onto his coat-tails, instead of letting it flap separately. I WAS happy to see them give him the Cloak for the new DOCTOR STRANGE wave -which reflected his later regaining the title of Sorcerer Supreme and the assorted badges of office (Cloak & Eye) after defeating the spirit of DOCTOR VOODOO's dead brother (who was possessing all the Avengers). Tamam Shud!
This is a really great video. I love all your videos but usually my level of amusement tops out at forcefully pushing air through my nose but this actually made me laugh out loud more than once. Bravo!

Doctor Strange sans cloak is symbolic of him stepping down from his OP pedestal, where he has been for decades. It has an "in universe" logic. Furthermore, the same mold came with a cloak for the 2016 movie wave. The body and head molds, and the red/black paint scheme alone are legit - even moreso than the weird blue-ish robe thing he has sported since the beginning.
I think dis-honorable mentions would be ALL the Chris Evans Captain America heads, and MCU Ant-Man which had Campbell's Soup for legs and an inaccurate head design. Great list and you got lots of audible chuckles! "regenerative carrot fingers" lulz.

Agree with you, but somehow years later everyone wants these figures and they are expensive. There was a Storm figure, there must have 30 on the pegs everything else was sold out, years later this was like $45.00.
My partner got me a custom Noir Spider-Man for my birthday that at least makes use of the overcoat body, since his arm has to be up to pull on the brim of his hat like he always does in Spider-Verse. This was before they I guess put one out that included a hat and a redone, simpler coat.
Fortunately there has been seemingly less throw away characters with the new waves. Unfortunately there's TOO MANY new waves constantly coming in! Slow it down Hasbro, you're killing our wallets and wasting those molds by not letting us catch up.

I find it's too easy to say that everything old is the worst. That doesn't make for a very interesting list. I considered limiting the list to just "Return of Marvel Legends (2012)" through today's releases, but I was concerned that THAT wouldn't make an interesting list. There has to be some balance otherwise there's no real point in even approaching the exercise. Yeah, the figure for Klaw isn't very good, but what if you approach it from a character selection angle? Would you rather have a bad Klaw figure or a really good Blizzard? For me, Klaw wins that argument.
ironic how Wolverine is and has always been and always will be a TOP 5 favorite for all Marvel fans...and yet there are like only 2 or 3 good figures of him and a shitload of bad ones

Great List! Or LISTS actually. I'm a long-time Banshee fan and I'm dying for a revisit of the character. I'm surprised to see that Astonishing Beast or X3 Jean didn't make the cut, but you can only fit so much awful into one place, right?
It's tough because the list could have been almost entirely female figures up to that Moonstone. They just were not good. I try to spread the love (or lack thereof) around. And I don't mind Astonishing Beast as an action figure. I don't like it as BEAST... but that's a separate issue.

The Blue And Yellow Jim Lee Wolverine is an AMAZING FIGURE to use the head in the new Wolverine and use the body as fodder for X-men customs uhasduhasd The problem is that this figure is pricey.
Disagree heavily on Toxin. I'm a huge fan of anything Symbiote and would honestly love a marvel legends figure for all of them. Seems more like you dislike some of the characters/character designs or the concept of it getting a figure rather than anything that's actually wrong with the figures, minus a couple.
Does Toy Biz still exist? I have fond memories of all their DC action figures from the early 1990s. What's the opinion of those figures in the collector world today? It's hard to find much information about them.

Figs like Blizzard and Speed Demon are for collectors that like to collect figs specifically tied to specific heroes ......Can you do a Spidey rogues gallery and not include Speed Demon .... nope. Same deal with Blizzard and an Iron Man rogues gallery.
Bucky! Oh that Bucky was horrid, with its sunken eyes and lanky build and ridiculous facial expression and collar that prevented any proper head movement. That would be my worst pick of all Hasbro figures.
Lazy re-use aside, those Doctor Strange figures represent different costumes. The design on the chest are not the same and the forearms are different sculpts.
Ah. I was not aware of those subtle differences. I had the HB wave figure but traded it away. Didn't bother grabbing the new one because I don't care for that version of the character. Movie Strange was more my speed.
I’ve been collecting action figures since 1994...I’m seriously sick of Wolverine action figures! I think there has been plenty of Wolverine representation over the last 24 years. Actually, the same could be said of Spider-Man, and Iron Man...Although, I am waiting for the only one I don’t have and that’s the Weapon X figure coming in 2019. I Never got the Toybiz version, so I’m definitely psyched for that Wolverine, then I’ll be completely done with good ole Wolvy!
The original ToyBiz Banshee was shite. It was basically a whistle with a figure built round it. I have one, and it took time, a Dremel, some Bondo, paint and plenty of bad language to correct. Never again.
I like Speed Demon and Blizzard. Dude, you missed the Nemesis wave Beast and the Fin Fang Foom wave Doc Samson. The leg articulation on those figures is simply unforgivable.
I know a few that should have made the list. Hasbro Quicksilver. He is a mess. Plus the Toy Biz Dr Strange. He is barely posable with that oversized cloak. The Arch Enemy series from TOy Bizm I can remember the name of it, Kingpin vs Daredevil, Daredevil from the waist up looks like he was created in a labratory.
The resent she hulk figure. It could be called generic female mold and nothing else. Seriously, ok no hands but the fist could use grabbing hands, horrible leg articulation, as well as the body, in general, is so awkwardly plain.

Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 1 - Gamora. That thing sucks, it can't stand on its own and the articulation is terrible, not to mention the movie look is far worse than any comic version.

I feel like the Toy Biz ones were cooler. The Speed Demon one cracks me up as Superior Foes of Spider-Man is one of my favorite comics. Also, I love bases :)

This list isn't great. The first ML of Ben Riley, any fantastic four figure that's not the thing, Klaw, Valkyrie's first ML, etc. All those new MLs shouldn't have been up here
I find it's too easy to say that everything old is the worst. That doesn't make for a very interesting list. I considered limiting the list to just "Return of Marvel Legends (2012)" through today's releases, but I was concerned that THAT wouldn't make an interesting list. There has to be some balance otherwise there's no real point in even approaching the exercise.
Yeah, the figure for Klaw isn't very good, but what if you approach it from a character selection angle? Would you rather have a bad Klaw figure or a really good Blizzard?
For me, Klaw wins that argument.
to be fair the version of Doc Strange from the HB wave never wore a cape. And the Dormammu wave one was from the Illuminati books.

That banshee figure was always my whipping boy as a kid. I'd make the other figures do the most violent things to him. I really didn't like that figure

Great List! Or LISTS actually. I'm a long-time Banshee fan and I'm dying for a revisit of the character. I'm surprised to see that Astonishing Beast or X3 Jean didn't make the cut, but you can only fit so much awful into one place, right?
It's tough because the list could have been almost entirely female figures up to that Moonstone. They just were not good. I try to spread the love (or lack thereof) around. And I don't mind Astonishing Beast as an action figure. I don't like it as BEAST... but that's a separate issue.

The Blue And Yellow Jim Lee Wolverine is an AMAZING FIGURE to use the head in the new Wolverine and use the body as fodder for X-men customs uhasduhasd The problem is that this figure is pricey.
Disagree heavily on Toxin. I'm a huge fan of anything Symbiote and would honestly love a marvel legends figure for all of them. Seems more like you dislike some of the characters/character designs or the concept of it getting a figure rather than anything that's actually wrong with the figures, minus a couple.
Does Toy Biz still exist? I have fond memories of all their DC action figures from the early 1990s. What's the opinion of those figures in the collector world today? It's hard to find much information about them.

Figs like Blizzard and Speed Demon are for collectors that like to collect figs specifically tied to specific heroes ......Can you do a Spidey rogues gallery and not include Speed Demon .... nope. Same deal with Blizzard and an Iron Man rogues gallery.

No Big Time Spider-Man? It had decent articulation and sculpt but its paint was too messy for most to enjoy.
Lazy re-use aside, those Doctor Strange figures represent different costumes. The design on the chest are not the same and the forearms are different sculpts.
Ah. I was not aware of those subtle differences. I had the HB wave figure but traded it away. Didn't bother grabbing the new one because I don't care for that version of the character. Movie Strange was more my speed.

I’ve been collecting action figures since 1994...I’m seriously sick of Wolverine action figures! I think there has been plenty of Wolverine representation over the last 24 years. Actually, the same could be said of Spider-Man, and Iron Man...Although, I am waiting for the only one I don’t have and that’s the Weapon X figure coming in 2019. I Never got the Toybiz version, so I’m definitely psyched for that Wolverine, then I’ll be completely done with good ole Wolvy!
Not only Marvel Legends Ultimate Wolverine a bad figure, it is of a bad character.

Speed Demon is a great figure and Silvermane is just a fun accessory. Hercules should be on the list.
The original ToyBiz Banshee was shite. It was basically a whistle with a figure built round it. I have one, and it took time, a Dremel, some Bondo, paint and plenty of bad language to correct. Never again.

Dude, you missed the Nemesis wave Beast and the Fin Fang Foom wave Doc Samson. The leg articulation on those figures is simply unforgivable.
I know a few that should have made the list. Hasbro Quicksilver. He is a mess. Plus the Toy Biz Dr Strange. He is barely posable with that oversized cloak. The Arch Enemy series from TOy Bizm I can remember the name of it, Kingpin vs Daredevil, Daredevil from the waist up looks like he was created in a labratory.
The resent she hulk figure. It could be called generic female mold and nothing else. Seriously, ok no hands but the fist could use grabbing hands, horrible leg articulation, as well as the body, in general, is so awkwardly plain.
how the HELL are speed demon, doctor strange, and blizzard on here? what a joke of a list. nearly every pre 2011 marvel legends figure is worse. honestly speed demon is one of my favorite 2016 figures and the other 2 are still well-executed. and emma frost is too low on the list.

Guardians of the Galaxy Wave 1 - Gamora. That thing sucks, it can't stand on its own and the articulation is terrible, not to mention the movie look is far worse than any comic version.
Speed demon is awesome because he sells for dirt cheap and is just a pizza spidey repaint, perfect for spiderman customs.
