Do your research, be industrious, appropriate quality for your focus! Roberto is the Goat! Think media is the jam! Thank you both for what you do!
The whole part on quantity and having that evergreen list really makes sense. I generally do one video a week, but I do know that I had my largest growth in a month the month after I posted 15 videos instead of 4. Since my channel is mostly gardening, I do have a hard time coming up with a lot of content in winter months and am always looking for new subjects to cover.

Identify niche / standard
Research Keyword Phrases
Provide Value / Evergreen content
- not necessarily tutorials
Good Title / Thumbnail tailored to niche
- add keywords to title, tags, description, transcript, chapters
Produce quantity / quality more reliably than others in your niche
Remember your channel and videos are products on a shelf. Be direct, label yourself properly, and provide value. These were just some random key points. Also its true not everyone wants to make it a competition some people just want to have fun and make some friends in a small community so don’t let that last rule burn you out. Good luck!

Imho the best episode so far by a ton. Already listened to the podcast, but listening again to absorb it fully.
What was your biggest takeaway from the episode?
@@RobertoBlake I took several notes, but my favorites were "if my video gets suggested, does the quality drop off a cliff?" and the concept of ranking multiple videos for the same search query.

Thank you for sharing your insights. My biggest takeaway is about value plus quality and how to maximise my video’s visibility in search engines. Also, I want to produce quality quantity more reliably than my competitors. I also love that I can set up my studio really well for a reasonably small outlay.

Everybody and their mother is trying to own a business right now. It's not a small niche by any stretch. Tough advice: stop making excuses, make the content business owners want and need, and you will see your channel grow. Simple as that.
Your mindset is the biggest obstacle. You just basically doubted yourself in 2 comments. I can't imagine what you tell yourself each day. My actual niche, herbalism, that's Bible based, and centered around black people's health, is much smaller, and I know I will get to 10k just with consistency alone.

Accepting difficulties and working towards your goals shouldn’t be doubting yourself, I believe it’s accepting the obstacles and learning to tackle them one after the other. How do we know what is a reasonable number of subscribers per views?
I like that metric for assessing if the quality is where it needs to be, but it's hard to know what is reasonable as a newer channel.
1% of viewers becoming subscribers is what I use as a metric
