glad to see a glimpse of Laguna Key... one of my favorite places on Earth. Halekai looks to be in pretty good shape. We've been going to Gulf Shores for years. Love the area.
It looks like the metal roofs faired better than shingles, which makes sense. Thank you for all your posts. I watched until your feeds stopped early this morning.
Hope y'all made it home safely. Enjoyed the live coverage you and Jeff provided into the morning. I have subscribed and look forward to the next adventure. Take care.

Thanks for sharing this with the world. It’s great to see so many houses with minor damage compared to our fears. My house is at the end of the road before Laguna Key. Any chance next time you take video you can get a shot of it? It is the small house wedged between two big ones 3149 west beach. Hard to see in the video because it is so far back from the road.
Thank you so much for this...we could see the houses across the street from our friends and their mailbox was still standing..we just couldn't see the house.....
@Jeff Sharp nope not young., September 16-17, 2004: As a Category 3 hurricane, Hurricane Ivan made landfall in Alabama. all the rest were tropical storms after that. pretty much 16 years to the day.
Thank you! My house is at the end of the road, you gave me a lot of relief!
No way! For real!? I hope you and everyone there have the best of luck handling the situation.
Thank goodness prayers to all! I’m in Georgia I hope it dies out!!

So sad. I'm glad we sold our place on the Gulf, it would have been hit 3 times in the last 5 yrs. Thank you Jeff, much respect!
Just left gulf shores Sunday night crazy how much can change
We moved away from that region in 2018. Glad we did. My heart breaks for all our friends there.

I have that first house rented for vacation 2nd week in November. 😩 Everyone stay safe. Praying for everyone.
I absolutely love Gulf Shores, But I would never live there because of these storms.
At least their buildings are on large footers
Part of the building code since Frederick in 1979.
Thanks, Jeff. No one does it better, and no one does it greater.
It looks pretty bad in robertsdale alabama too
I love the ocean but this is what you're being exposed to every hurricane season.
it was 16 years ago last time a hurricane went through Alabama.
Zero deaths.. everything is fine now

Thanks Jeff. She’s seen worse. Fredrick was my big one.

Rick Loudermilk I have family from Dauphin Island to Sea side and Freeport. I’m really worried about the coming water.
I would have thought this whole area would be under 2-3' of water.
Wow! Not bad at all!!! That's great news.
Any update on the father that had a heart attack I had a hard time sleeping last night thinking about it
From what I understand he did get help but that is all I know. I wish we knew more.
I’ve been thinking about him too. Gulf Shores Plantation is well off the beaten path.
Wonder what the blue angles home looks like at NAS Pensacola.
How’s the beach house at 1037 west beach Blvd ?
Prayers to people and animals, devastating
What about FloraBama ?
I was there it was terrible winds up to 60 plus
sad...glad you all pulled thruz♡♡♡♡☆☆☆☆
Is there a reason these monsters always seem to make landfall at night?
Maybe y'all should think about relocating....storms are coming bigger quicker faster as time progresses.
