When my grandfather died his dog stopped eating . He started sleeping on place where he sleeps, after 13 days he died on that place.
Same as my Dad's 16 year old girl dog, stopped eating when the last few days of my Dad's life came - passed away a month later despite our attempts with vets.

I had to put my baby girl down today. It was the most heart breaking thing I’ve ever had to go through. Watching this makes me feel like I’m not the only one in this world that went through such a heart break.

I'm sorry for your loss. I have had many dogs and cats. My favorite pets are dogs. I have had to put at least four to sleep and several have died of old age. We morn for our loss but I know you will be with your beloved dog again. They most definitely have a soul and have intelligence

It's emotion not death they can tell if your sick or not felling well or if your happy and they just react to whatever emotion your going through to try and make you feel better

They can def smell death. Any process in the body causes changes chemically that they can smell. Some dogs can smell cancer, diabetic comas and seizures, when a woman is menstruating and even pregnancy. My dog knew I was pregnant. He kept sniffing my belly.

I lost my black Labrador Ruby today at the age of 15. She was a part of my life since I was 8 years old and was always there for me through some dark times in my life. I can never be thankful enough for the memories we shared and the joy she bought my family and I. We all loved her very much and she knew that, living an amazing life. Rest in peace Ruby ❤️

I worked at an animal hospital for quite a few years... I was the designated hugger for owners and designated snuggler of pets who's owner couldn't handle being there. It's an honor to be apart of their endings. The best relationship I've ever been a part of.. Involved an animal 💔
That lady crying when they put her dog down really shook me. I could feel her pain; she really loved him!
I felt the same when we had to put our cat to sleep 15 years ago. I sobbed like a baby saying goodbye to him. I still miss old Milo.

When my friend died, her cat became really depressed, only laying in her bed and ate very rarely. The otherwise healthy feline became extremely thin and 9 months later she passed from a broken heart. My friends mom talked with the funeral organizator and the graveyard owners and they allowed the mom to re-bury the cat next to my friend so they would be together forever. It's truly heart breaking and wholesome at the same time.

I remember when i lost my best friend a bearded dragon whom to others was just a lizard, a reptile that wasn't capable of being man's best friend like that of a dog, but he proved to be much more than man's best friend, that lizard stuck by my side almost every second of every day. I remember having a cat that me and my parents loved so much but as she grew to an age of 14 she was hit with a severe case of dementia and my mother was told by the vet that she had to be put to sleep i wasn't home when she died but I remember crying all the way home knowing that our beloved cat would not be around anymore and I miss her still 😭😭😭

i lost my dog Beau exactly a year ago while i was away at school. i never got to say goodbye, and seeing all these sweet goodbyes brings me to tears about what I could've had. I have a ton of medical problems and he has always been there through it all. when i lost my older brother in 2018, he was their to try and help me stop crying he licked my tears away and cuddled me every-night. I love you Beau forever and always

If people are loving and nice to their pets, it's almost a guarentee that they're a good person. I adore my cats and cry at the thought of losing them. Animals truly bring out our best characteristics and emotions. Love, care, compassion, responsibility etc. My heart goes out to all those who have lost pets (who are a member of the family!) 💞
i never cry for nothing, it doesn't matter if it's the most heart wrenching and soul crushing story i've ever heard but i got a really big soft spot for our pet friends, since the beginning i was already in TEARS
this makes me value and appreciate the time i spend with my furry best friend, i'll love her for the rest of my life, i would just straight up trade my life for hers i just can't picture a life without her, it's such an devastating reality i'll face eventually but i just hope when the time comes she'll go knowing she was my no.1 priority in life and the love i had for her was inconmensurable.
Putting my dog down was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I bought her a hamburger before taking her to the vet. I laid with her while they gently put her to sleep and I let out this scream I couldn’t control as she passed. I could not stop screaming, so I ran out of the vets office and locked myself in my car so no one could hear me. A woman tried to follow me and comfort me on the way out, but all I could do was scream. Her name was Darla. She was a border collie with the most gentle soul. We had such a special bond. She died in 2014 and I still think about her every day. I miss her so much.
I am so sorry. I recently lost my Ariel on 2-12-21 and we had to put her down with less than two days notice. I will never forget the wail of pure pain that came out of my body. We put her to sleep at our home, but that wail is what brought the vet back in to confirm her death. I am so, so sorry. It is the hardest thing on earth to let these sweet spirits go...

I'm so sorry. When I had to say goodbye to my border collie aussie Hazel, after 15 years together, I couldn't do it. My family came with me and they just held me holding her. It destroyed my heart. So I understand.
A few months later, a woman I never met, called me and told me she heard about my Hazel passing. Our hiking daily, and Hazel being my emotional support pup. She offered me a borde collie aussie mix puppy from her pups litter.
Panda bear is wonderful and helps heal my heart. I still miss Hazel. But Panda Bear is a gift from her. I truly believe that.

I lost my great fur babe a couple of weeks ago. She was so amazing, right up to the end she wanted to go for a walk (although she couldn't walk far). She loved sleeping at the end of my bed, bedtime is so quiet now. She's still close but not quite the same for me. Thinking of everyone who had to say goodbye.

I have a cat that's getting up in age and it's tough. I know it's going to be hard.... 3 yrs ago we bought a dog and she is extremely smart. All 9 1/2 lbs of her lol she knows who everybody in the house is, and friends of everyone by name. These made me feel like it was her.... After watching these videos and to think about losing her. I don't think I will get another dog again.....To emotional and sad to go through it multiple times for me. Pets are an extension of the family....

The woman crying over his dog broke my heart and I am now crying. Oh! God. Love is the best to offer in this world.
I got a tiny kitten when I was 14 in 2007. He was always a human soul, the way we connected and could communicate. He never left my side and even as I aged and moved homes, he always came with me. When I was diagnosed with a few chronic illnesses and was struggling he knew and understood. He was so gentle with me, he was with me for 15 years. Day after Christmas in 2021 he was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. Our vet said we could try steroids but if it was caught too late then it will only extend his life a little. The steroids were expensive and we had to drive far to get them, but my cat knew he was sick. He knew he needed the meds even if he hated them. He never fought me to take them. He fought so hard to stay with me. But by April he declined again. And we knew we had to say goodbye. My boyfriend came with and took pictures of me and my cat in his final moments. I had him partially preserved by a friend of mine. I have his skull, and his two front paws which are dry preserved so still furry. I’ll never lose my connnection with him. And I’m still not over losing him physically.

Our dog hated going to the vet so when we needed to put her to sleep we found a vet that came to the home. The vet was so kind and caring. It was expensive but it was comforting to know she didn’t have to spend the last moments of her life in a place that scared her. He also gently and carefully removed her body and had her cremated.

Graicie, a chihuahua Pomeranian mix, was 16 yrs old when we had to let her go. We did the same thing and had our compassionate vet come to our home. Gracie passed so peacefully because they created that environment. As terrible as it may sound, allowing us AND Gracie to say goodbye in a peaceful way was a gift to her and us. She was given a sedative to allow her to sleep before they administered the drug to end her suffering. I will be forever grateful to them for allowing us to grieve her loss in peace.

When my husband passed, our dog wouldn't let the undertaker near , so I had to move him and he bit me first time in his life . Our cockatiel spoke if my son in law hadn't heard it , I would have thought I was hearing things . Then later he went under the bed and I thought he was stuck he was letting out a bark but it wasn't a bark I had never heard before so thinking he was stuck i tried to pull him out he bit me again . He howled for 45 minutes . His grief was sore combined with the rest of the family. It was heart breaking . 💔🌟

The woman putting her dog down really hit home for me. My family dog was a golden retriever/Pyrenees. Her name was Jessie and we got her when I was 5. She was always there and would take care of us and watch my little sisters. She survived for 16 years and I was at work when my suddenly called me and told me to grab my siblings and come to the vet because it was time for Jessie to be put down. It was sudden but we had known it was coming. I remember grabbing my younger siblings and getting there and we all just got around her and petted her and loved her. It was the worst feeling knowing this was the last time I was going to be able to do so or see her around the house. I couldn't remember any time without her being around. I just remember balling and knowing I was about to watch a loved family member leave this world and there was nothing I could do about but sit and watch. It still makes me cry. It's a shame dogs cant live as long as us.

I lost my dog a few years ago when someone poisoned him. He had sophistication and yet he was a free spirit and very loving. His death played out on my home security cameras and it was painful for him and watching was really hard. To anybody that has lost loved ones, I wish you all the best. 🧡

@@depressedshadow8205 in food, it's likely that my dog walked into someone's home or nearby and the person decided to feed him rat poison or something.. so when he got home, he was convulsing, pooping, throwing up and then slowly died afterwards.

I will never forget my daughter wanted a lab, and she cane across one for free. My daughter was ill with Lupus really bad, and she hardly asked for much. So I drove one way 45 minutes out in the woods after working 16 hours to get the puppy. They connected right away. The puppy always stayed close to my daughter and would whimper when we left. My daughter ended up very ill from an infection from hip surgery. The puppy knew she was very ill. The puppy wouldn't eat nor sleep. She just stayed by my daughter's side. When my daughter was gonna have to leave town for a while we knew it wasn't fair to keep the puppy in a kennel or with someone. My daughter found someone who had suffered a lost and was looking for a puppy. The new owner moved 6 hours away, but everytime she comes to town, we are able to see the dog. My daughter is gone but she will never be forgotten.
I lost my dog yesterday. We had to put her down after a serious seizure. This video made my cry like a baby. May her soul Rest In Peace 💔

Before i talk, i lost my father to suicide when I was 14. When I was 16, i got a dog. A Brittany Spaniel which I named oreo. He was there to help with the hell I been through. I then went to join the military right out of grade school. I found out my home was gone because of family issues and i had no where to go. After i was able to live off base after i got back from my first deployment, my grandfather passed away and he had Oreo. I drove home and i got him from the horse he was at. I brought my little pooch home with me. For the total of years in, i moved more times. Everything was inconsistent. Everything besides coming home to my pooch who had a funny look on his face when he slept on the couch. He got up to see me and i took him outside. It was consistent and it never changed.
I joined national guard and moved home and he was still there. I lived by myself a lot but made sure i was there for him. It is like he knew i was gonna be gone and he didn't mind waiting. I was then in training for a job that i still do to this day. One day he was not himself. Weak to get back up the stairs. I took him to the vet that night and i said i was going to take him home. If not today, the next day when he is better. I was told it was cancer and internal bleeding from...i honestly forget what. He was 12 years old. I made the decision to end his pain. I was right there next to him. I was singing a song to him, "close your eyes, it is time. For you to tell the world good night. It might be dark and cold but there are still stars shining in the sky. Close your eyes, it is time for you to tell the world goodbye. Ill be right here by your side as we go walking through the night."
I was the last thing he saw and I spent the last moments with him. I still miss him to this day and i still suffer with the PTSD of losing my father to suicide but i am able to talk about it. I miss that little pooch. The way i chose him was when he came up to me and sat on my foot while looking towards where i was looking. I will never forget that dog. I never gave up on him and did the best i could to give him the best life even if i was doing it all by myself. I loved him to death. he Helped me out most of all.

Trust me, you will not come across the kind of unadulterated love you feel when you are with them from anywhere else. They tend to light up your life like the Sun when you have a loving relationship with them. You might find yourself trying to look for them first thing in the morning. Their emotions are pure, fierce, caring, inspiring, unyielding and unconditional to the point, that they mold you into a much better version of yourself.
Yes. The pain is unbearable when you lose them but, without that pain you wouldn't know the Joys of being with your Dog and everything that comes along with that; years of hopeful moments; raising, nurturing, sharing your pain, chasing after your dog who is always eager to chase squirrels and countless sunsets together.
There will be many people telling you that it's best to not get a Dog so as to save yourself from that day when your world breaks apart from that unfathomable pain. But, just ask yourself. Isn't any relationship that cuts deep like that?
One day you father will die, your mom, your brother, everyone you love but, would that make you stop loving them?
Fear is the heart of love they say. Fear of losing the one you love the most causes tremendous pain.
But, that pain is proof of what you had and how strongly you felt. That right there! It is worth all the damn risks this world, to take that leap of faith to allow yourself to truly Feel what it is like.
Don't be afraid to love. Be afraid of never letting yourself feel what is rightfully there for you. Always.

When my dog died i cried for hours, my dog was the sweetest lil' doggie ever! she learned how to pause sit without me teaching her she was an intelligent doggie. She got sick by a other doggie called twix our neighbors doggie, i got really mad at twixs but now i be friends with twixs! R.i.p Vanillope my cute lil' doggie!

I truly loved my gorgeous German Shepherd Dogs and my Belgian Tervuren military trained Detection war dog. ❤I had such anguish and sorrow when all my dogs passed away, but I know that we will be together again some day 💓
The first horse laying his head on the casket was heartbreaking. The First Lady putting her 4 year old dog down made me cry & I cried the rest of the video. The man with his 2 horses. The light tan one seemed more affected. These were heartbreaking. I’ve lost several dogs n my lifetime & no matter what it’s always hurts
