You never see slingers in any roman movie/show battles but they were pretty common, thousands and thousands of sling stones were found on 1 tiny roman battleground. Imagine these kids practicing every day until adults. They'd be snipers. Now imagine thousands of them all behind a giant wall of roman shields. What could stand up to that?

Its the same reason you dont see alot of thrusting weapons with battle extras (spears or thrusting rapiers) because controlling the set safety is difficult so you see dudes slashing with rapiers or whole ancient armies and everyone has a sword. Sucks the authenticity out. Same for not seeing slingers in movies. Just use archers, viewers wont know the diff.

This takes me back to travelling in Morocco and meeting similar young shepherd boys. They’d be far from home, away for a couple of days, sheltering in herders huts, food in a satchel and as happy as could be. They were all crack shots with thrown or slinged stones. The stones were used to steer the herd, no sheepdog needed. Such a joyous sound as they chattered and laughed as they went along. ❤

Those aren't "slingshots", they are slings. A slingshot is a toy that uses a rubber band or tube which, when stretched turns the potential energy into kinetic energy to propel a mass. A sling, on the other hand, is spun at a high speed, using centrifugal force to impart kinetic energy to the mass at a much higher velocity than a slingshot. A slingshot is a toy; a sling is a weapon.

Verses from the Quran about Jesus peace be upon him:
[4:171] O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, “Three”; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.
[4:172] Never would the Messiah disdain to be a servant of Allah , nor would the angels near [to Him]. And whoever disdains His worship and is arrogant - He will gather them to Himself all together.
[5:17] They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is the Christ , the son of Mary. Say, “Then who could prevent Allah at all if He had intended to destroy the Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?” And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.
3:84] Say, “We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him.”
[5:75] The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded.
[5:78] Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.
Jesus is a human being. How can a man with a date of birth be God? How can God come down in human form so that would no longer make him God since the definition of God is to be Supreme and no One is compared to and is the King of all kings and none can match. He has been created like you and me have. Created. A created being cannot be The Creator. He will be in shock as to why you called him God or the son of God when instead he is the Messenger of Allah. He was a human who ate and drank and went to the bathroom. On top of that Christianity also claims for him to be a Jew? How can he be Jewish? How can he be God or the son of God if he did all of that? And he literally came out of a womb so how can he be called the son of God or God?He is the beloved Messenger of Allah may peace be upon Jesus

Jesus was a Prophet and Messenger of God just like Muhammad, Abraham, Moses and others, peace and blessings be upon them all. He is not God, God is not a man, He is Unique and does not Die, he is All Knowing and All Forgiving.

In ancient times, shepherds would pass the time by slinging rocks at trees, or boulders sticking out of the ground. When war came, slingers were rated just below archers. Very effective at breaking up infantry formations.

Early conquistadors rated the sling as being more effective than the bow. A sling as a barrage weapon has a lethal ranged up to 300 meters only Longbows and specialist composites can match that.

Slingers dominated long range duels. If u look at Assyrian or Egyptian carvings etc you'll see the archers in front of the slingers with shields meanwhile the slingers shot over their head at a greater distance.

Quite unlike the kids over here in the materialistic West who are never ever happy with what they've got and who are selfish conceited arrogant and rude

Knew their behaviour, wich ones were bought at the same time/age etc. And i didnt closely spend as much time with them like these boys and their herds.
