I’m seeing people from around the world every time they see something in the skies above like an Angel looking they shout is that Jesus??

Please do not be mistaken that anyone can be like David unless God chose you!!God did not choose any of David's brothers or any of Isreal great warriors but only David! Not because David has the faith in God but David had the capability.David had the skill in killing lions with his sling shots.Goliath was just a sitting duck for him! When he wields his sling shot he never misses. This duel was indeed a mismatch. I pity Goliath. God knows that!!
So why didn't god materialize David a machine gun?
@@DrMontague because a gun is man's power. Jehovah uses who He chooses and how He chooses for His Glory. Just listen to the video again and read the account in 1 Samuel 17 vv 41-49. David says that he doesn't come with sword or spear. Instead he came in the name of Jehovah. Jehovah delivered Goliath into David's hands.

The record of David's triumph over Goliath is a story I never tire of hearing.
I am not a man, but this is also very powerful, true, encouraging, and helpful for women as well. We, too, need to walk in the Spirit and not fear. Don't forget the women surrounding Jesus were the first to witness a risen Jesus. So really the ministry of a risen Christ started with women , specifically Mary Magdalene who was the first person Christ risen revealed himself too. While the male disciples lay in hiding , the women were the first courageous ones to witness a risen Jesus.
Also the Samaritan women Jesus encountered at the well , she was the first recorded to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. Quite a lengthy conversation between those two at the well ended with Jesus revealing himself as the messiah. So we see two definitive acts of Jesus revealing himself first to two women on two different accounts.
"Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons." Mark 16,9
(Samaritan woman at the well) "The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you-I am he.” John4 , 25-26
David was a shepherd, and he spent his days protecting the flock. David was proficient with the weapon known as a sling, which many people know about but do not know just how deadly a well placed stone at 250 miles an hour can be. Many people make use of simple primitive weapons such as a sling shot and get extremely good at it, ensuring first shot kills on predators and game. David was such a man.
The whole thing is just another fairy story like King Arthur. A little bit of truth built on lots of made up stories.
Only those who have received the anointing and been baptized in fire get it I suppose. He killed a giant monster and not just some overgrown man. This was no lion or tiger but a 15 foot beast and that little rock and sling was not enough without Gods Holy Spirit. People love to speak and tell us what is not the Holy Spirit. The pharisees woudl not even believe Jesus. They did not know the Holy Spirit. Pride and wicked hearts.

What some also miss is that David picked up five stones, not because he lacked faith that one stone wasn’t enough to slay Goliath, but in case he also had to face Goliath’s siblings…

David said that "he will come to Goliath "IN THE NAME OF THE LORD" notice that he mentioned Goliath's weapons before this. David's weapon is "FIVE STONES" and he called it the "NAME OF THE LORD". If we look at Exodus chap 33-34 in Moses Intercession and the Lord's passing in his sight. We can see the similar "THE NAME OF THE LORD". We can safely conclude that David is familiar with the Scripture, and the "FIVE STONES" represents the five characters attributes of God mentioned in Exo 34:6.
That seems reasonable. But the Bible does not tell us exactly why. He may have thought it might take at least five to bring him down.

@@Lendul Yes, some accepts it as such. But it is intriguing, because for me, i believe that it was the first encounter of David to this Goliath, and i believe that the philistines warrior is not familiar to him.
When our youngest daughter (27/DS) was born, she had surgery to repair a blockage in her stomach. While she was in the NICU, while sitting next to her crib, I asked God to show me what I need to read in my Bible to give me strength. My bible literally fell open to the story of David and Goliath.
In 2014, I started a NPO where I work with individuals with various special needs. It’s called ‘The Village of Triumph’ and our logo is ‘David and Goliath’!!!

Roman's 8:11 is a favorite of mine
My wife and I visited the Valley of Elah back in May. I picked up five small white stones from the creek bed where David picked the stones fir his sling as he was walking to meet Goliath. It was such a blessing to be there and think of the significance of what transpired there.
It is just another story in the comic bible, it did not happen, grow up.

From a military point of view, the sling was a powerful weapon, berhaps better than the bow. It was used by many armies through the centuries. David was not a boy playing with a sling, but a warrior well versed in the use of the sling, as it was daily used to protect the flocs from wild animals. An experienced slinger could throw to more than 50 metres with deadly accuracy.

The part of this story that excites my soul is when David first showed up to drop off supplies his father sent him with. Goliath had been making his mocking challenge for 40 days. The Israeli army was all scared of him but David's immediate response, "...who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?" They were all stuck by fear but David had nothing but a faith in God response to the man who scared all the warriors around him.
Philistine has been against Israel since they came from God knows where!
He killed bear and lion without the strength of Samson has. But by faith in God he killed them .

I like when David said “ who is this uncircumcised Philistines that dare Challenge the army of God” I think of that verse a lot when I’m overwhelmed.
That is also my favorite verse in this BIBLE story.

I was born as my mother intended to name me Greg. Before her death, my mother had the intent to write a short story to each of her children. I never knew I was to be named Greg, but I knew I was born scrawny. Mom said I was beautiful to her, but she knew I was the ugliest baby born. Grandad suggested I name him after that guy that killed the giant. I knew that my name matched David's from the story, but I did not know how I was named until I read this letter after she died. I have faced many giants, especially losing my mother. Thank you for this! My mother was wise!!!

As God's children today we are so blessed. Notice how the Spirit came upon David. And even Samson would shake himself and the Spirit of the Lord would come upon him. But today, through Jesus Christ, as the children of God we have the Spirit IN US not just upon us. Glory to God in Jesus name, Amen.

Can you imagine what that day would have been like? The lesson I get from this story is not to allow all this fear and such to paralyze us. Know who you are in God and proceed with boldness. I lived many years living in fear, it virtually controlled my life. God taught me to place my trust in Him and know that He would provide everything I needed.

In the chapter before the episode with Goliath David is described to Saul as "A mighty warrior". From this we can surmise that David, while younger than Goliath by many years, was not a child but a grown man experienced in battle. Being the youngest son he would have been kept home and cherished, but also given the "unwanted" tasks such as guarding the sheep and carrying food to his brothers. We also know that David himself had to be quite strong: He drew Goliath's sword and cut off his head. These weapons were of iron so did not hold an edge like steel does. Cutting off the head would require brute force, and we know that the sword was quite heavy. While David depended entirely on God to accomplish the task he was still prepared and equipped to be used by God in this.
He was also a master of the sling. Recently watched a video of a modern day sling expert. In the hands of a battle tested sling expert, like David, the results are devastating.
You forgot the most important thing that gave him his strength. Can you guess who that all impowering person is? I'll give you a guess, without it Samson became victim to the Philistines...How about giving the Holy Spirit the absolute credit, without the Holy Spirit, David does not kill Goliath or cut off his head. The same goes for Samson, without the Holy Spirit, he doesn't use the jawbone of a donkey to destroy a 1000 Godless Philistines....Just sayin. Ur welcome !!😊

Also, its not about credibility it does not work like that. The sooner you understand the better. I don't mean God does not share the credit but, don't misunderstand the truth.

Sorry, but the Holy Spirit is *NOT* a created being but rather part of the Godhead just as Jesus was in His pre-incarnate form and then regained His proper place after His resurrection. IF you say the Spirit came from the Father to mean the Spirit was made by Him, then you misunderstand basic grammar. Just as Jesus was sent by the Father, so was the Holy Spirit delegated, or sent, from the throne of the Father. I will not argue over this, since this comes from scripture and from the Hebrew/Greek Lexicon so it is not my opinion.

Same as that, in nothingness there was only God the Father and by his will everything came to being. For that reason, whatever else came to existence from his creation belongs to the father. Slingshot units were some of the most dangerous and effective in ancient armies. These highly-trained warriors launched their projectiles with deadly and lethal accuracy. What is strange about this story is that a seasoned soldier such a Goliath would not instantly recognize the threat from anyone armed with a sling.
I have a theory about that. People with gigantism tend to have poor sight, which may have been true of Goliath too, even if his condition was somewhat different. Also, it's been theorized that David may have used a (known) trickier but more powerful technique, attaching his sling to his staff like a catapult. If he did that, his "ready" position would have had him grasping both sling and ammo against the staff, hence Goliath only seeing a stick.

As I see a society that is falling into a mass psychosis caused by fear, as I see politicians who amplify this terror, this story is a positive reminder that we have nothing to fear.
Currently going through a hard time in my life with a lot of stress and emotions and feeling like im shutting down. Feeling like there is no end in sight of this tunnel. I find this video and it is everything i need to hear to help me through it. Life can suck sometimes qnd when i feel down, i feel like god is there to pick me up and point to where i need to go. This story isn't about how to "win against your giants", it is about David knowing the Torah and how he reacted when those commandments and directives that were written by God were challenged. Therefore, he knew the parameters that God would and would not allow him to walk in. It's about David's FAITH in God and His divine Word that is able to save and deliver. It's is about God's sovereignty over your life even in those critical never ending cycles of testing your trust in his goodness and mercy and his care.
You don't have to drum up some kind of power of "being filled with the "Spirit" - if you're Christian, you were already filled with the spirit when you believed.
Simply trust God in your circumstances and let him be the One who holds your faith FOR you. - THIS IS WHAT HE DOES! You don't have to "try" to hold on... you'll never make it. He is the author and finisher of our faith, and he is our Great High Priest who is seated at the right hand of God and interceeding for you this very moment.
This is not about attacking "YOUR" giants. This story is about Christ who attacked your giant of sin, its about the real King, who slaughtered the giant who was too enormous for us to fight against and our redemption that Christ fought for us - who takes care of his sheep!
You are one of his sheep. Trust Him - nothing's out of His sovereign and powerful control. 👍
It's not about "what's the giants in your life", or "what are your 5 smoothe stones"? ...this history is not about US, this history is about the foreshadow of Christ who CONQUERED sin on YOUR behalf - you don't need to do the work, Christ has already slayed the giant in your behalf. REST IN THIS TRUTH, and trust our good Lord who said, "I will never leave your or forsake you", and, "...as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ; who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Cor. 1:8-9

The same thing is true for Samson, every time before he did something it stated that "the Spirit of the Lord came upon him." And I agree, people miss this. ”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Today, I am encouraged by this very great message. It's for me. The Holy SPIRIT in me, is not afraid of any challenges I face today. With Him inside of me, I can face my Goliaths. Amen.
I've heard that since Saul was a full head taller than all the men in Israel, this puts him somewhere around 6'-6" at least. Saul was a "giant" in his own right to the people of Israel, and he was revered as the greatest warrior of his time. Saul's crippling terror and fear of Goliath, really puts into a better perspective just how monstrous of a man Goliath must have been. So fierce and powerful that he reduces the enormous man of Saul, who had personally slain thousands of warriors, into a state of paralyzing fear and hopelessness...

I have just come across your channel and IIN a kJ v dispensationalist Christian. I don't know what you are but you are telling this story very well, I am an old lady crippled and dying and I'm okay with that because IDI have made mistakes in my life. I don't know what denomination you are. I don't know who you are, but you are telling this story absolutely magnificently. And to all those out there you're going to have obstacles. But don't blame God. You are going to pay for your sins. One way or another, regardless, but you still can't blame God. You make choices in life and your life choices are what's going to predetermine. Where you go and what happens to you now? There's a lot of good men that bad things happen. But maybe they're the ones that can take it they're taking the brunt for someone that can't that is weaker than them. You know, I mean, I don't know, I'm not a preacher, I just I'm blind and I listen to a lot of Gospel Then Listen to the Bible and I Listen to my pastor and You popped up and so I thought i'd give You a Listen and So Far I'm enjoying it. II don't know if this is for men only. I am a woman. I believe that the man runs a house that the man is the boss. I do not believe that that entitles him to treat a woman has less or not equal. He needs to treat her as his Queen. As in the song it's all mine. I can't think of exactly the right verse, but Tom. You you guys know what I'm talking about. And women aren't to listen to their husbands and quit trying to act like a man. Because you're a woman and I really infuriates me all these women that have done that and now. Men don't treat proper women as proper women. And it bothers me very much when I was growing up. I had to wear white gloves when I was 4 years old. They had white gloves on my hands and you did not get those hands dirty. I will tell you that much and you say you're a proper. You're quiet. What do you learn when you talk nothing? So for all you ladies out there. I'm not lady bashing or anything like that and it's a team. Effort, and you know it's supposed to be 5050. But it's not sometimes it'll be 9010. Sometimes it'll be 7030. Sometimes it will be 50 or it'll be 6040 and it bounces back-and-forth. But that's part of a marriage. And so your marriage Ricardo needs to be a 100% on your part, and this guy's telling a story really nice and I don't know his name. So what most people don't understand is that Goliath was always at the disadvantage. The men who could fight with a sword, dedicated their time to learn the sword. David's weapon was the sling, which he was highly proficient with. A sling bolt can easily punch a hole through front and back of a bronze helmet, with or without a head in it. For David, it was just another day on the range. He was a sniper. He was an elite soldier. Yes he learned it as a shepherd, which is why he was so elite at it. Don't get me wrong, God gave him the skill, and with that skill came courage.
Bru a sling can most deffinatly not punch a hole through a bronze helmet . Not even a 40 S&W from a glock could do that nevermind with a head in the way
May the children of David use the Spirit of God to guide them .

One thing I thought you were going to mention is that David went to the brook and picked up 5 smooth stones! As you mentioned, Goliath had 5 brothers, so David had 5 stones in case Goliath's brothers became infuriated and came at David. This is what I believe because by his faith he knew he could take Goliath down with just one stone. IMHO

The great thing about being in the word daily, being in study daily and in prayer daily seeking and asking for knowledge is that God in His grace will give it unto you in abundance. We have a Father that wants our full self and not just the parts we want Him to have.....

When you have faith and believe in God; the Lord will deliver you from any struggles you are going through. It is not by your strength but by Gods strength!!!!
One thing that is often neglected in David v Goliath is David had the tactical advantage. David was the favorite 'on paper'. Goliath was weighed down by heavy armor and weapons made for heavy damage and intimidation. David forwent armor, was very agile, was able to run unimpeded and could certainly out maneuver Goliath and wear him down, and most importantly deadly accurate with the sling (a ranged weapon, no need to get close), and able to taking out both a lion and a bear (bullets are know to not stop a bear). David apparently was not afraid and would even end the battle with the beasts with hand to hand combat once his target was knocked down. So Goliath's biggest strengths, intimidation and heavy hitting ability were negated by who David was and David's skill set, and Goliath's armor became a disadvantage to him given the hit to mobility and stamina it gave him, especially if David could knock him to the ground.
So where was God in this then? God chose His champion, and chose wisely, seeing things that others failed to but allowing David to be the one to stand for all of Israel. God allowed David to act, God opened the door for this 'nobody', in what appeared to be an impossible situation. And by impossible I mean that it seems impossible that David would have been allowed to fight by the army and Saul.
David never terrorising people
David never wanted to have cruelty kill, gang-rape women and calling for Jihad all the time.
He didn’t do all these sin war as and when his pleasure!
He just fighting back the evil forces like Israel do!
And the living God is helping him.
While I don't recall scripture speaks directly to your statement (and can't research it now), I would say that your statement is more likely false. King David was know, among other things, as a great warrior king, known for slaying "10's of thousands" of enemies, and hamstringing the enemies horses. His reputation was very well known and he was not afraid to use his forces in battle. It is likely that he did terrorize his neighbors. @@naomiong4867

Thank you so much for this teaching 🙏 I wanted to mention how I love David's whole story. How he was rejected by his earthly father and family to fend for himself fighting bears & lions to tend the family sheep. While all his life Davin loved God ❤ And how God took all that and used it for good. David had already killed wild beast and grew his delight in the Lord. This prepared him for Goliath. I find great peace in David knowing that he fell like we all do but continued to humble himself and seek the kingdom and praise God.

Goliath was infantry, David was artillery. David ran towards Goliath to give his stone extra momentum. A man’s skull is thinner and more fragile than the skull of a bear or a lion, and the stone hit Goliath between the eyes and, probably, below his helmet, where Goliath was particularly vulnerable.
I always believed it to be the bridge of the nose, particularly weak there.
@@jsbrads1 Given the size and speed of the rock, the whole area would have been vulnerable. The bones would have been particularly thin in the front of the skull.
@@vickisavage8929 even better where there is no bone at all. Tho Malcolm Gladwell did the math and said the stone would hit with the kinetic energy of a .44 mag
