Hell Patty shot him for raising what she honestly thought was a gun, not for being Harrison Wells at all. Most people who hadn't seen Wells in person, much less day in and day out wouldn't really know what to look for.
Simple, the writers forgot, therefore the citizens forgot as well lol

The difference there was that Spivot was a cop who already knew what to look for. Recall that earlier in Season 2 Mercury Labs was broken into by Earth-2 Wells, Dr. McGee then reported to both Spivot and Joe West that she saw a Dr. Wells, who was walking, rob her lab.
So Spivot already knew what to expect (aside from the whole multiverse thing) and was actively searching for this Wells.
I wonder who outside of law enforcement would attack Wells for being a murderer. That was a post-mortem confession given TO the police. He caused an accident that screwed over the city, but most people don't know it was on purpose, or that he ever stood up out of that wheelchair. If someone did point to a doppelganger it would be 'how are you still alive and hwo are you walking again' not 'you should be in jail for murder' andthe statute of limitations would probably be up for something that was declared an accident!

And I never said anything about all the craziness that has happened since then. Which by the way I wholeheartedly agree with. By the time Harry leaves at the end of season 4 people don't care as much as they did when he arrived in season 2 and it was So fresh on everyones mind.
I can vouch for the Clark Kent/Superman thing being true. When I was in law enforcement, I would arrest someone and then a few weeks later, when I was off, come in contact with said person and they wouldn't recognize me just because I wasn't wearing a uniform. Everyone once in a while someone would realize that they knew me from "somewhere" but they couldn't tell where.

That scene made me laugh, every time a Harrison wells goes outside I just point at the screen like “HEY HAS A GUY THAT LOOKS LIKE HIM KILLED SOMEONE YOU LOVED!?”
And probably for the same reason...so far in the future, nobody cared anymore. Also he was just cool and had been allowed to let his coolness breathe.

This actually made a lot of sense if you really think about it, many of my friends always make fun of the Superman disguise but were all surprised when one of our closet friends dressed up as Mary Jane for Halloween. literally all she changed was her make-up and no one recognized her 😂😂😂
But what about supergirl? Even her closest friends like Lena Luther have spent a ton of time with both of them (up close and personal) and don’t recognize her. Now even more recently HER OWN SISTER doesn’t see that. I mean, she doesn’t even put up her hair or anything she just put on glasses. Like really, if she were to take off her glasses in front of Lena or her sister, how stupid would they feel amiright?

@@aaliyahsajous8239 I think DC made a little Comic page for why The Glasses are essential for Superman, maybe even for Supergirl.
Anyone with glasses can tell you how effective the Clark Kent thing works, especially if everyone only knows you with your glasses
@@aaliyahsajous8239 In this series they state that both Clark and Chara's glasses are made specifically so they can't be recognised with them unless you know their identity. So they're not just normal glasses.
That's why Cat Grant knew about it but to confirm it she needed Chara to take her glasses off.

@@Materminds187 I would want to live in a Superman city, any day of the week. Definitely the most reliable savior, even Flash has got bystanders killed by his lack of speed. Batman does his best. Still, can't save everyone, but mostly everyone. Be he isn't the problem, his rogue gallery is. And if I were killed by a Superman rogue gallery character, I would be obliterated too fast to feel pain. Doomsday would kill me like a fly.

You know how sometimes when you see your teacher in public and don't recognize them until they remind you? It can be difficult to recognize someone depending on the context of the situation
Appreciate the video, I will say I know its silly to get hung up on details like why no one recognizes Harrison Wells, when I'm watching a show about someone who can literally run on water and through time, but what really drew me in durning the first few seasons is the writers always tried to give some type of science fiction rhyme and reason to why things were happening. All I really want is a line from a character every season when a new Wells emerges warning him to use H.R's image induser before leaving STAR Labs. I mean they could have Cisco throw the device to the seasons new Wells and say "this thing is gonna be your new bestfriend" and done. Instead it's never brought up after season 3 and it makes me feel like the writers stopped caring or just forgot. Which holds merit to even something you pointed out in season 4, why not use it to have someone be DeVoe at Barry's trial. No more ranting, I just had to get that out

Yeah same thing with tracy after hr died tracy saw earth 2 harrison and came up to him only to realize that its not the one she knows

Because they was extremely emotional at the time.
Jessi had her father go missing and Tracy just seen HR die, but when they seen a person with the same face , there emotions made them see the father that is missing or the love interest that just died.
For them at those points in time all they wanted to see was their loved ones again, so when they seen HR/Harry, that's who their brain said it was.

Timeline changes, since Barry pulled Thawne out of the timeline for Flashpoint, then had thawne reset it, Thawne found a way to keep himself alive and not be erased. So in this Timeline, Eobard’s version of Wells either didnt die to the public eye or didnt admit he was a murder. Not sure though
no that stuff is still the same. Remember season 3 takes place after/during Flashpoint and everyone knew about Wells and his crimes. The original Wells was in a wheelchair. The other ones aren't. And they dress and act differently. Chances are you wouldn't recognize a disabled homeless person if they wear a nice suit and started walking.

Eobard's version of Wells was, to the knowledge of the general public, wheelchair bound. Also, now that Crisis has happened and the multiverse has merged, its entirely reasonable that a) the history of earth prime remembers Wells differently, or b) that given that said city that already has to deal with multiple generations of metahumans, said army of giant talking gorillas, zoom, etc, but also now Aliens, just doesn't care anymore.
Exactly! When Harry first showed up it was a big deal, everything was fresh on literally everyone's mind, not just the team. When Harry season 4 and Sherloque 'did whatever they wanted' everyone had a new measuring stick and in the eyes of everyone except team Flash (Fake) Harrsion Wells was a distant memory anyway.
HR wells was the only character that got me fucking weeping when he died.

I think the "Clark Kent" disguise worked for Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain and Brandon Routh. We didn't get enough time with Tom Welling to see if it worked for him, but he was learning to do so. I didn't think it works at all for Cavil or Tyler Houchen because both guys didn't put enough effort into the disguise to make me believe that they were different from Superman.
Doppelgangers are: people who look enough alike that they could be twins, even though they have no family or history in common. That's what the word actually literally means. The police know about Earth-2. Joe and the Flash told Captain Singh Zoom and his cronies were from Earth-2.

On season two when Vandal Savage literally destroyed Central City the Barry went back in time to fix it but then he told Oliver and lot other changed so doesn't that mean that it affected Zoom too because Barry himself said that since he changed time lots of weird things will happen like Oliver having an Argument with Felicity about William but since Barry already witnessed everything and told Oliver everything the argument never happened at that moment

Easy, he wears the face alternator whilst out in public and the show just chooses to let the audience see the real Wells because they want to use the actual actor who plays wells as an actor. So we see Tom’s face instead of the person he is impersonating, this technology has been around since season 2. I’m presuming they have replicas which would be useful for future wells. Likewise, a counter argument to to this theory is the elongated man episode where he is viewed as having value due to his face alternating ability however, this could be due to the fact that if I recall, that allows him to change his voice as well. Meanwhile the face alternator doesn’t. And yes, I didn’t watch the video yet, so maybe he covers this. And he does.
Kinda like how films about foreign countries will have the characters speak English for the audience to avoid subtitles, but really in the world of the film they're speaking their actual language? I like that. Although if that's the only explanation then it would imply that the new Wells was wearing a different face when he hit on that chick in Jitters?

As a ten year old child I was on a TWA airplane and my dad and my mom came on the flight, now I knew that I haven't seen my parents for a long time, but I recognised my dad (His look was iconic) but mom had gotten a more bouffant hairstyle and I couldnt recognize her at first.
My glasses broke a month ago and I've been in contacts since. The guy at the only convenience store I go to just finally recognized me a couple days ago, and only because someone else said my name. Clark Kent's disguise does work...
