    I love the share. Inspires fresh ideas. The precast fence posts and gravel boards are brilliant, and I like how they fit together. We do not have them readily available at our hardware stores here in California. Vinyl fencing or composite seems to be the popular choice here, but I much prefer what you've done, using the concrete and wood fencing together, and it appears far more affordable. I'm going to look into concrete companies and see if I can find something similar that works. Thank you for sharing, and God bless you and yours.

      We have pretty strong winds here in UK. These concrete posts and bottom gravel boards are long term solution. Very hard work if you doing it yourself, but once done just forget it. In future if there is any damage that will be to the wooden panels and can be easily removed and new ones slotted from top.

Question is how wide does the hole need to be for the Rsj post? Will be using 152x152mm Rsjs. Would postcrete be okay for this application as I have no clue how to make concrete? Hi, you can use postcrete, use double bags or a concrete ballast mix using either ordinary portland cement or a rapid curing portland cement. You can get this in a ready mixed form or mix it your self at a 4 x 1 ratio (4 ballast and 1 cement) mix it to a stiff slump and your away..

    If you had a driveway with a slope upwards towards the road where do you start putting in the posts ie last on first because of the slope?

      Ann-Marie Medd Hi thanks for the question- Always start at the bottom of the slope and work up bank! Hope that makes sense

    • @foundationgood123
      @foundationgood123  Před 4 lety

      Rob Lowe No problem😊, I’d dig down about a shovel depth ( need good firm ground) and peg it to about 4 to 6 inches deep usually 4” should do it!

    Why don't people use safety equipment? It says right on the bag the dust is cancerous and not to inhale. It take 1 second to put on a high quality respirator, they are only 10 $. Getting it in your eyes also sucks, burns a lot. Stay safe out there.

      @@whiterhino5027 the Tories scrapped planning rules .. its a 'persimmon' free for all for road access never mind fences ...Green Space included in presumption in favour all comes from the Tory NPPF right to grow houses . .everywhere for anybody .. so long as they are expensive and tiny slave boxes ... Planning !!! They dont even adhere to Footway rules in Kirklees .. with 32000 new homes forced into the local plan by central govt. Communities completely ruined and local say bypassed.. yup, a freak storm & that could go airborne. But you only need permission if they find out & with the chronic cuts to all public services & overworked & underpaid staff, I'd do it.
