This is the best Amazon Exclusive ML box set in a long time.
Losing the baggies may be the best part of going back to window box packaging. 😂 My set arrived today. I’m a big fan of this team and these characters, so I jumped on the preorder. However, if you have the patience to play the long game, you probably should. It’s not a set that I think most collectors are going to feel warm and fuzzy about spending $135 on after sales taxes. I think it would feel a lot warmer and fuzzier at $100 after sales taxes.
With the West Coast Avengers, Moondragon and Drax, Crystar, and Luke Cage, I'm being transported back to my childhood.

If you've been collecting Legends for a while, definitely wait for clearance. Iron Man, Tigra and Spider-Woman are nearly identical to their prior releases, which you probably already have. Although I will say, I like that new Spider-Woman head a lot and you could definitely put her in a Freedom Force display with Mystique, Spiral, Pyro, Avalanche and Blob!
Mockingbird is a must-have since the only prior version was a 2010's version. Dr. Pym is also great to finally have, but without little mini-Quinjets, mini-tanks, etc., he feels like a miss. Hank Pym during this time would carry entire arsenals in his belt that he would blow up with Pym Particles (he was doing this instead of growing/shrinking himself at the time). One could think we will get a Pym re-do later on with various mini-accessories. It certainly wouldn't be the first time Hasbro has done this.
Other than that, I'm not sure who else they could have released to make this set feel like more than a cash grab. Fist of Khonshu Moon Knight with the gold bracelets could have been cool. Thing in the wrestling singlet could have been cool, too.
I remember her purple with red hair. She really stand out more in that way. They gonna do that Professor, don't need to be a custom.

We need Hawkeye and Wonder Man. I remember the first issues were a lot more fun than the Avenger series at the time.
I want spider woman and songbird in the retro card. I know they have made Spider woman in the spider man retro card. It's not the one I want. My spider woman is red and yellow suit with black hair. There's plenty of characters that weren't made back in the 90's. I'm glad Hasbro are making them these days. The ones I'm not too keen on are characters that didn't exist. Or variations of characters that didn't exist until 2008-2014.

I read West Coast Avengers and have a pretty long run of the comics. Mockingbird & the Iron Man are the only ones I want from this set. Really would like to have Hawkeye & Mockingbird together.
That's my Spider-Woman, too, Julia Carpenter. I get frustrated when Jessica Drew gets all the attention!
I have the single release Tigra from 2021 because she is a cool character but to me, I like this Tigra figure with the better looking orange instead of the cheeto orange in the box set, Also, Skycycle Hawkeye, US Agent, and Safari Jacket Wonder Man can go great with the West Coast Avengers too, Overall, Fantastic review Kyle.

As a fan of these team box sets (aside from the price and some of the easy repaints & sometimes the price) I like it, BUT... they should have swapped out (could have done a 2 pack along with the Oroginal HumanTorch: callback) Hank Pym for The Shroud (which would have been a truly easier cost effective figure. Now if you kept Pym; they should of a Pym Particle Gun with maybe a shrunken Tigra (callback). Mockingbird could have had a short haircut version. Nice set as I'm a fan of team pieces.
In this set, Hank Pym is the star for me. I'd tie Mockingbird with Silver Centurion Iron Man. BTW, even though she was supposedly dead, she was actually taken captive by the Skrulls and came back during Secret Invasion. Hank Pym in this version was "Dr.Pym" and he shrunk down gadgets instead of himself. He'd have a Quinjet in his pocket for instance. I loved that version of Hank, especially when John Byrne took over the book.
I'm playing the long game with this one.
