  • Get Up To Speed on Ken Miles, the legendary racecar driver featured in the movie, #FordvFerrari On Blu-ray & Digital. Get it now: bit.ly/FordVFer
Ken Miles (played by Christian Bale in the film) was the reason Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) found success on the track with his Shelby Cobras, and why Ford beat Ferrari with their GT40’s in the 1966 24 hours of Le Mans. From driving tanks on the beaches of Normandy, to running his own mechanic shop, Miles was known to do things his way. He built his own winning MG's and raced Porsche 550 Spyder's to podium after podium. His skills led him to becoming Carroll Shelby's Chief Test Driver and he was just getting started. So how did Miles go from being a high school drop out to almost being the first driver to ever win the Triple Crown? Join James as he gets you Up to Speed on Mr. Sidebite himself. This is everything you need to know on Ken Miles!

Ken Miles, was a good driver, a good development driver. He gave good feedback, and could translate the cars, behavior to the engineers. There were a lot of talented people who worked on that program, and few received the recognition they probably deserved. The only real promoter was Shelby, and consequently, he received the lions share of the credit. Holman Moody, their staff, Don Frey, Mose Nowland just a couple of people of the many at Ford who proudly worked on the car. Racing is a tough way to live, and it was very dangerous back in the 60s. Ford engineering thought very highly of Ken Miles, and his death, really deeply hurt, many.

Watching this video after having seen Ford V Ferrari makes me greatly appreciate Ken Miles even more, he was the true badass and king if the grease monkeys, what Caroll Shelby said was true, we will never have anyone like him, Ken Miles was the ultimate, such a cool dude.

The first place winner can’t be pleased either. Mclaren won I believe. He knows better too. Marketing fail. Stuffed shirt fail.

Mclarens car was put on rubbish tyres to slow him down. After 3 pitstops more in the first 6 hours than miles car (to change tyres) Mclaren jumped up and down till he was given the same tyres as miles. Mclaren then raced his way back to be on the same lap as Miles at the end, At daytona Mclaren was ment to win but Miles ignored team orders and took the win. So, Bruce won at le Mon. No questions asked.

The times I've cried past to present.
    1. The ending of the movie Heat. 1996.
    2. My dog, Costello, passing. Miss you buddy. 2017
    3. Eddie Van Halen passing. Yesterday.
    4. Today watching this wookie break down.

Knowing what happened with Ken Miles broke me as well. Then discovering the very man who I looked up to for guitar, not for the drugs or smoking, but for the pure talent Eddie Van Halen had shown the world...I cried so much

The Gaming person I had no idea how Ken Mile’s life ended, and when I saw this movie yesterday for the first time, I teared up for the first time. Movies never do this to me, and I’m not even a huge car fan.

This is one of the reasons I watch donut. Their joy and passion for te cars and what they do comes across as genuine. When someone passes, as Ken Miles did, the grief for the death of a man that James didn't even know is genuine.
Most CZcamsrs that I watch, feel that they've earned their success for the hard work they've put in. With Donut Media, they've earned it on passion alone.
