Welcome to the video everybody!!! Thanks for watching :) Make sure to LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE for more :)
This Kawasaki is one of the best motorcycles on earth. When you factor in the price. Its unbeatable! 😎
exact same thing i think, more reliable then a harley, cheaper, and my personal opinion(looks better)
I love my 2001 Vulcan nomad...
My first Vulcan was a 96vn1500...a beast of a bike, 1500cc with a 4 speed trans shaft driven. Also known as a BUBF!
But
Ugly
But
Fast😏😏😏
Chris Stiff What is theprice of the bike
I bought a black/gold 2020 Vulcan S three weeks ago, and I am in love. It just does everything well. Its great on the road. I wanna get a booster plug to smooth out the low rpms, an LED headlight, and some viking hard bags to carry stuff, but those are the only upgrades I can imagine wanting. Its plenty damn fast :)
Nice video, do they still make the mean-streak ?
I bought the 2019 S ABS In Stormcloud Blue last June 1st. I’m amazed I was able to put 4200 miles on it my first season even though working 60 hrs per week only rode while off work such as evenings. Just Love it. I went 35 years without a Bike. At 19 yrs old my dad paid me triple the value of my KZ400 to get me off of it because his best friends son got killed on his. Deal with dad lasted 35 years to never buy another bike. That deal ended a year ago when he passed. Maybe I’m dumb to get on one at almost 55 years old but first season I felt like the bike was part of me. So fluid, so easy to operate.
Hey, I'm glad you got the bike. I'm in a similar situation...haven't ridden in about the same length of time. I'm looking at the Vulcans (S or 900, I'm torn!) While I respect your Dad's concern, I love being on two wheels. You picked a beauty. I hope to get rolling again this summer. Got some family logistics to settle out first, but, I for one say "good for you!" Ride on! Ride safe!
If you're a beginner with very little money, I can see getting the Kawasaki Vulcan 650cc
See this video of a non-industry - private owner talking about the *_good & the bad_* to this bike:

D L just tell them there are more fatal deaths per mile in cars then on motorcycles
Love your story. Never keep anyone or anything from doing what you love or want to do. But you’re a man for respecting how your father felt.
54.
Got back on a bike in 2012. Vt750
Traded onto a xvs1300a.
November i said fuck this slow heavy cruiser shit and bought a 2019 Z900 😁😁😁👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺😁😁😁😁😁😁. Ohhhh bloody hell its good.
Enjoy it mate. Id love to take it thru topanga canyon. Not likely to ever happen but one can dream.
I like the look of that vulcan S tho.
Thanks for the ride. I am 70 years old and have owned many motorcycles since 1967. I just sold the LAST Harley I will ever own. I paid $37,000 for it and it broke down four times within the first year. I then sold it for $28,000. I'm going back to Japanese motrocylces and my choice is a Kawasaki Vulcan S. No more chug chug chug of a V-twin.
Ride safe and enjoy every journey.
I am always glad to see you overcome the hard times you been through when few months ago when you were at around 25k subscribers. Thanks for sharing that back then and letting us help you through our comments.
Thank you for supporting me! Means a lot :)
Your literally right by me! It’s great to see one of my favorite motorcycle channels go to a dealership near by me. I’m trying to get into riding and your videos help me decide which bikes are best
I’m 72 years old. Sold my last bike, a Honda CB 360T about 25 years ago. Just bought my Kawasaki Vulcan S, ABS 2 1/2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it!!!!! I tried the Honda Rebel 500 but felt the extra power and fit of the Ergo-Fit system worth the extra money. By the way, I paid $600 for my first new Honda 350 in 1968. Just paid $600 for my new Shoei Neotec II helmet - how about that comparison! Just got my saddlebags, passenger seat & backrest plus luggage rack (all Kawasaki’s accessories) and I am even happier with this great bike. I’m in Colorado Springs and the trips around here are absolutely fantastic, both short and longer rides! Only downside is we just got another inch of snow yesterday however, God’s semi-instant snow removal (the Sun) will have it all gone in a day or so. By the way, I got a $500 discount via a “Kawasaki Kash” coupon that I got a couple months ago in Denver at a bit Motorcycle show. Also, Kawasaki honors all veterans with an additional $250 credit!
Thanks so much. I brought mine home yesterday. It’s been 15 or more years since my Sportster 1200. Now, the bug has bitten and I’ve looked and looked and I come upon this wonderful gem of a bike. I’m 67 now and I don’t ride like I used to. I’m doing a MC Safety for some much needed REFTRA. We are still bonding and I’m practicing practicing practicing because I know this machine is a very healthy little beast. You know how it is. The day after, I need validation and you deliver. Wish I had your great confidence. Love it, man. I’m getting there. Thanks for the video really enjoyed :-)
"It feels familiar even the first time riding" those were your words and you couldn't have said it better. Yes mine has Delcavic Exhaust sounds awesome in the true sense of the words and cafe windscreen+ aero mirrors gives it better top end and keeps wind off you, good video mate!
Watching this video despite having a 2018 Vulcan S in my garage haha love this bike so much great video !
I owned a ZX6R for years. I rode it since 2002. I am 43 this July and i start looking at some cruisers. Man i thought i loved the Honda Rebel. But then today i saw the Yamaha Bolt and Kawasaki Vulcan S. Oh boy did i fall in love with Vulcan. Kawasaki really has something for me, from sport to cruiser.
I took my ‘16 to a track day and had a blast, the Vulcan was a bit to long, but so much fun throwing it into corners. I scraped an inch of metal off both pegs and took the OEM Dunlop’s right over. I started with the novices, but by the end of they day I was lapping under two minutes, putting me in with the advanced riders when I go back. It was my first bike at 44, two years later I feel like I’m on my bmx in the eighties. Such a nimble and quick bike, and looks so good, I’ve had friends call it beautiful when the first saw it. Underrated by those that don’t know. Peace brothers.
by the way i love your content and the amazing video quality and mic, beautifully done
Gotta love ur review its so natural that u didnt do voice over
This will be my first “big” bike!! Thank you for the convincing review.👍
Bought the Vulcan S Cafe just yesterday. Rode it for about 50 kms and absolutely loving it. I will be soon starting my own channel and would be riding around Australia. This bike is beautiful
I love my 2015 Vulcan s. Such a well balanced bike. Easy to lean. And plenty of power to be fun.
Every cruiser is my favorite and your channel!
I have a 2018 vulcan S with ABS . Stock and I love it , use it for commuting for school, great mpg and power delivery . After 5000 miles it felt like the bike woke up, yes it has a chain but its manageable. Commute on the Altamont between San joaquin and Alameda Counties. About 20 miles of pure splitting lanes and its nimble, responsive and engine breaking is perfect. Yeah no cruise or heated grips but its serves its purpose. Abs is awesome, handles the bumps great, wind is a killer out here but it is what it is .
I assume many people dismiss this bike as any other metric cruiser and they couldn’t be more wrong! The Yamaha Bolt is a Harley copy, this is not. The Vulcan S is one of the most fun to ride motorcycles I’ve ever ridden, regardless of category. I own a Versys 650, same engine, and it’s not as entertaining even if it handles better. I think it has something to do with the deep induction note and the sport bike power delivery that make for an unexpected and unique experience, plus it’s refined and not buzzy like older Kawasaki models using this engine.
Nice video dude. Very professionally done and quite informative.
When someone leaves a hate comment on a site for no reason, they have some thing really wrong in their life that they have no control over, pls keep up the good work, hope to buy a Vulcan next year.
Hi. I an Sunny from India. Riding Royal Enfield bikes for last 23 years. Vulcan was the first bike which was launched in India in 2018 and I got it in March 2018. After that I sold all REs . I had 16 of them. Now I am keeping only Vulcan S since then. I am doing long rides for last 25 years and now I can say this is the best cruiser I have ever owned. I did high speed riding also at 185 kmph on it without any problems and it is confidence inspiring. Nice review.
Very good honest review - I'm looking at one of these right now for a 2nd bike - I do have a Suzuki C50 and its a really nice comfy cruiser bike too! Not a lot of power but real comfy and fun to ride!
Love my Victory Octane. Has plenty of power and super high revving for a V-twin.
Love peeps from Scotland....I have had many bikes ( loads )..and I Just love this bike, the torque is brill for a wee cruiser 650 twin and I have embarrassed quite a few bikers with this bike...If you are looking at this video and thinking of buying....Dont Wait...👍👍
Awesome!! I picked mine up tonight!
Great reviews man...you nailed it bro...
I just got a 2006 Vulcan 1600 Meanstreak and I love the way it rides.
those rock
Lovely bike. I am going to buy this in 6 months, here in New Zealand.
Thank you for the video.
hows the bike?
my first one was back in 2016 and i ended up purchasing the 2016 vulcan s with abs. I loved it and still have it..
Riding my Vulcan s 650 since 2016 and looking forward for more years of fun together☺
how good is it with a pillion?:)
Drunkenedmaster If a rebel 500 can handle a passenger, a Vulcan 650 can
Any problem so far?
@@ebe8653 18.000 km of Fun... :-)
Great review. I sat on one of these today and wanted to do some research on it. 'Nuff said. I'm getting my first bike and it's a Kawasaki Vulcan S ABS.
Great review .. "It feels like home" i used something similar "I exactly wanna be right here" when i test road a Yamaha Roadliner - Cheers
flipper man Great line - “Feels like home,” stealing that line :-)
I just bought a 2019 Vulcan S ABS used with 11k miles. I have had it for a month and I love it. Fits me just right for my first bike.
Great review.I Love Kawasaki Bikes and these parallel Twin engines. This will be my next bike.Owned the 2016 kawa er6n with the same engine as this bike since 2016 and I love that bike.Owned 1000cc bikes and over that and always felt more power there then I need so at 51 years old and a bad back this looks like my next bike.
I‘ve got the 2019 touring edition of the Vulcan S and added some more extras for comfort. It‘s my first bike and I love it. Although it is a little bit heavy for a woman, I feel free and comfortable while driving my Vulcan. I would always buy ist again!
Leyla Mc Gregor Awesome.. watching women riders on this machine is what convinced me to buy it :-)
Just bought a 2022 Vulcan S in Crimson Red! Arrives next week, can’t wait man! Been ridin HD but needed something cheaper due to moving, can’t wait to rip around on this one for the rest of the season👌🏻
To those wondering whether or not this is a good bike for beginners here is my experience. I'm 29, 6'1" and this bike is a perfect fit for me. I never rode a motorcycle before in my life. Then I saw the Vulcan S for the first time and I was decided I needed that bike. It was love at first sight! After a few months of research I bought a black mat 2020 ABS model and learned how to ride with a friend. Always practicing on my Vulcan, I made sure to first feel comfortable enough on it which means to first master the balance while going thru corners and at the same time paying attention to what's ahead, so I would never go past the first/second gear. 70% use of the front break and 30% rear break. Take it easy on the throttle too. A few weeks later practicing everyday with my machine I felt confident enough to go ride on the streets facing traffic. Be patient and very cautious, and also take it easy when learning and then you'll soon put a large smile in your face.
PS: I think my only complaint is regarding the rear shock which feels a bit hard when going thru pot holes (even small ones). I still haven't tried but I heard it is adjustable.
Just bought a 2020 and absolutely looooove this bike. If you are on the fence about this bike, buy it. You will not regret it.
Great review, man! I really enjoyed this video. You were one of the guys I've been watching that made me buy this beauty! I'm still waiting for it to be delivered though... I can't wait for my first drive!
Hugs from Brazil! Peace!
Congratulations my friend! Hope it gets to you soon, and enjoy many safe miles ahead!
Great review man! That exhaust sounds dope af, I have a 2017 vulcan and I'm still pretty much in love with it.
My stock exhaust sounds nowhere near that tho, I dunno if they changed anything over the years.
I LOVE the Softail Slim in Rugged Gold Denim.
That's my personal favorite cruiser.
Great video! We here at VikingBags really appreciate your work! Keep it up!
This brand has always produced the best reliable bikes and this bike continues that tradition. Looking to find a great 2nd hand one as they last and last too! !
Nice review! Awesome bike with great performance! I have 2018 model! Super cool and beautiful bike!!
I always wanted a sports/cruiser crossover and almost went for this bike after passing my test on my Honda CB600F but for some reason decided a 50cc difference didn’t justify the time and expense of getting my full licence which is now a complicated expensive business in UK. So despite my friends thinking I was nuts I went straight up to the BIG bikes and bought a Suzuki M1800R Intruder. I don’t regret it, by riding with caution I’ve allowed myself to grow into it and now it’s second nature. But for some reason I’m still captivated by the Vulcan S. The bigger cruisers aren’t so practical to live with day to day, moving the M round the yard is hard work, you have to be careful how you park because you can’t push it backwards on a slope and with all that size & weight , cornering and braking need careful planning. Once you’ve committed yourself it doesn’t forgive you for changing your mind. So I’m thinking Vulcan S for a second bike for day to day use and keep the Intruder for longer rides out on the highways. I’m not into adrenalin-fuelled heroics on the road any more, and the Vulcan S looks fun, practical, comfortable and safe for a responsible rider. And a thing of beauty in my eyes.
Hey y’all. Just putting this comment here so I can look back at it in 10-12 months(March 2021-May 2021) I’ll be back when I buy a Vulcan S. First bike, and I’m just loving the good word around this machine. See you then!
DJ Jackson That is an awesome attitude BEST of luck you’ll do it :-)
Did you buy it yet?
I had an Indian Scout Sixty that was reallllly fun with a set of pipes on it. So much more fury than a Harley!
Great review man. Confirmed this will be a future purchase for me
I subscribed from NY after watching your first Vulcan s review and opinion! Great channel 🦾! New rider tho 😆
Thanks for subscribing and welcome to the riding community!!
Awesome review... I’m 5’6 285 and looking at a new old stock 19 Vulcan s cafe... something about that orange and black just does it for me.
That’s it I’m saving up for one now thanks for the review
Andy look for dealers with new (old stock) I bought a new 2017 abs Cafe on sale for $5,500. It’s an amazing bike for the price. You’ll love it.
I rode a late model HD Softail Standard for many years before buying my Harley SG , Had a blast, wasn’t fast but tracked well and was a hoot to ride
I have the 2015 version and looking to buy the 2020 version quite soon.
This is an awesome cruiser period
So, do you like this bike? I really enjoyed this review. I feel like some reviewers go out on a limb to be overly critical. You told it as you experienced it, it's a great bike.
Just picked up a used 2018 Vulcan S with only 800 miles for $5800,for the wife, she is going to love it.
De motor is fantastisch ,voor iemand die niet zo groot is ,zoals ikzelf. Hij rijd geweldig en is aan elke lengte aan te passen. 👍
I'm 19.. 7:44 thank you for your advice.. When you work hard, at the end of the day, it could change ur life. I hope, one day i could buy one of those bike.
waLker waN You absolutely will for sure :-)
Great review of this sweet bike!
My first motorcycle was a 2018 Vulcan S ABS. AMAZING!!!!! I am buying another one.
I recognized where you parked up at the start of the video which leads to where you are at 7:45 entering Santiago Canyon. It’s one my favorite local roads. I used to take it to work.
Great video! Love your reviews! Keep up the great work. Happy New Year from VikingBags!
Happy new year! Thanks for the positive vibes :) Really appreciate them
nice review, thank you, i might consider this bike. the only concern would be not enough power
Owner of a 2016 Vulcan S ABS...the seat gets rough after a long time. Recommend a Corbin seat upgrade if going a long distance. Air friction is high without a windshield (which I have for long rides), but fine for around town. Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend this bike. I look forward to riding it any chance I get, get lots of thumbs up while riding and the power is perfect for this kind of bike. A dream of a bike for the price (picked mine up for $5,200 with 600 miles).
Hi from the Uk 🇬🇧 this is my next bike 100%..I had a meteor 350 Royal Enfield now gone I sat on this Vulcan and fell in love ❤️😎🥂
got a 2018 second hand its my first bike and I love it
Amazing footage! Thank you sir
I have a 2016 ABS, best cruiser I ever bought (apart from the seat and the suspension travel).
I got a 2016 Vulcan s with 28.000 miles on!
Long, far, rain, cold, hot rides on it
This bike is amazing! plus no.. yes no mayor services (I only changed spark plugs and air filter so far and of course oil changes)
Wanna be more comfortable? Get the passenger foot pegs and rest you feet back on those pegs... made my riding longer and my seating position more comfortable
Oh! Maintenance is really easy
Good video Sr! Keep posting ✌🏼🏍
I have been riding a Vulcan s for few weeks it is what they say , very very nice I’m in Sydney Australia.
Wonderful video and such a pretty bike. I've heard a 650 Ninja with aftermarket exhaust and believe me that stock bike (to me anyhow) sounds a whole lot nicer.
I must say, I have owned this bike (2015 version) for four years, ridden it over 16,000 miles (LOVE it), and I never thought it was a long bike. But this video points it out, and so do some comments. It must be the case then, but let me tell you, this is built like a cruiser, but, in my opinion, it handles almost like a sport bike. It is an absolute thrill to ride. I highly HIGHLY recommend this bike if you're looking for a cruiser style bike with speed and handling that competes with a sport bike. It literally leaves me grinning ear to ear every single day. It's amazing. If anyone has specific questions about it I'd be happy to give my two cents.
You are right ! It is not a classical cruiser. Not good for long rides.
great video. Just bought one yesterday
2003 vulcan classic 1600cc. Great video!
Got my Vulcan S June 1st, just put the Two Bros. exhaust on ...Now the roar of a lion!...What a great bike at a great price!
How’s the comfort? Have you done a long distance ride ?
@@jDot2414 Haven't gone very far yet...recovering from a bad car crash at this time.
@@vulcangunner58 ah man I’m really sorry to hear that ! Hope you have a speedy recovery 🙏🏻 stay strong
@@jDot2414 thanks bro, I hope to get back on 2 wheels this summer.
@@vulcangunner58 you will!
Honda Fury is my favorite cruiser that I have owned or ridden, it's not that fast but I have my 790 Duke for that.
I am not a cruiser fan but I have always loved the Yamaha Vmax and Harley police bike.
I love that that colour scheme.
Love my Vulcan S. Great bike for the price. I picked up a new (old stock) 2017 ABS Cafe for $5,500 on sale. Worth every penny.
Rick Simpson It was around $7,000 out the door at 0% interest for 6 months so I paid it off in 6 months.
I got mine for 3000 190 to fix the cosmetic damage and it only had 400 miles
I went from a 2009 Vulcan 900 Custom (in 2009, lost in an accident same year), to a 2016 Street Triple in 16, to a 2016 Tiger 800 XRt in 17, to add a 2019 Speed Triple RS, which I traded for a 2020 Speed Twin, which I traded for a...2020 Vulcan S? I get a lot of flack for these moves but I like what I like and this thing is awesome! I've ridden 70 bikes for my youtube series and for personal experience and it's still one of my favorite bikes of all time. The combo of the Tiger and the Vulcan is the best of the riding I do. Cruise and Tour/Commute. Can't beat it!
Indian Springfield best cruiser I've ever ridden, I ride a 2019 C90 Boulevard BOSS, which is almost as awesome as the Springfield.
Here in the UK the ABS just comes standard and there is no choice to not have it.
We do have different grades to purchase the bike though. Standard is just that, standard. Performance comes with an Arrow Rebel exhaust and cafe racer windscreen. Touring which comes with a large windscreen, saddle bags and a passenger backrest.
The Arrow Rebel exhaust really makes this bike great so I'm going to be getting the performance tier one when I do purchase one soon :) Then I have a few extra little bits to add and make this bike perfect.
I own a 2016 and if you are even thinking of buying one, do it! Best purchase I have ever made.
That's a tough one. Favorite cruiser would have to be...one of each!
I feel like its the dyna more than others
Nice video thanks for the info of the bike
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching
I own that model and it’s always a blast to ride... it’s a little hooligan and with the Delkavic (sp) exhaust it rips. I own a Yamaha Raider and it’s so much fun but different ride. I’ve owned HD’s and this bike is much more fun ,faster and it cost a lot less to own and operate.... all good things .
I have the Olive 2019 Vulcan S. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bike.
@Saad Alqarni with the stock seat, no. It feels like sitting on a cinderblock after about an hour. I put in a Corbin seat, and it made all the difference in the world. I can put in a 300 mile day on it with no problem.
I've had one of these for almost a year. It's easy and fun.
Did you let it go? If so why?
@@alithejumbo I've still got it.
I am sold on the bike and your channel.
Bike ordered, channel subscribed. Good night.
So many great things said in one comment
Dude, love this video I miss my Vulcan S 650 I sold it because didnt like the sound of. You are right it's the ride experience I had it for a year and was riding to work. Err now I went from CBR600 RR, and GSXR, GSX S 750, to C90T LOL. I regret for selling it. I think this is the best bike light weight and very fun. I might get it back this year lol.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I wanted to buy 2019 version, but I had some extra things pop up, so I'm taking a 2020 version next month :)
nice, hope you get it soon. a dealer 15 miles from me has that matte green, and i'm going to go look at it next week, my first bike ever
I just bought my 2020 Vulcan S less than 2 months ago and absolutely love it. So many of the videos on CZcams complain the seat is not comfortable for longer rides. I’ve had no sense of discomfort at all and I’ve made several rides of 2-3 hours long. Be sure to ask dealer for the $250 veteran’s discount! Also, I’m very pleased with the Kawasaki brand passenger seat, luggage rack, backrest, and saddle bags. Enjoy your new bike. I’m in colorful Colorado. How about you?
@@RobMelHo where in CO did you buy it?
Love my versys for commuting and the flickability but been thinking about this bike for awhile now for long trips.
I got a Matt Green 2018 I have custom it is amazing.
Looks like they haven’t made much updates to Vulcan since its launch...
I ride a 2018 Vulcan..
Some of the drawbacks:
Seat looks plush, but not for 2+ hours of ride, I’m having to use an external Air seat..
Suspension and low ground clearance aren’t great for road conditions here in India..
Anyway, I’m happy that I chose a Vulcan over any of those Harleys !
Ok I'm convinced I need one
My wife loves her 2016 Vulcan S... she's gonna be jealous when my 2020 Vulcan shows-up in the garage next to it.....
I'm pretty late to the party (this video) but the dealership I work in has this bike available, after a customer traded it in, and with the right price it's mine!! I'm a beginner though so I'm hoping it's good to learn on!!
I love my 87 ZL1000 Eliminator and wish kawi would throw the 1000 Ninja inline 4 back online with some modern touches. love the bike and have owned 3 of them in various sizes from 600 900 and now 1000
I ride the Vulcan S, but my favorite cruiser of all time would be the Yamaha Road Warrior. That said I love my Vulcan S, quick, nimble, comfortable and looks great.
Two things I'd like to change on the Vulcan S, first the headlight doesn't look right. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference. The read fender. It looks like it's way too big for the rear wheel!
