Fantastic to see Tom back on Strictly.
Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers will always be the only people who can do it properly.
Nonetheless, good tribute, glad that they kept Beddini, Hardwick and Bates in the play.

Saw Tom in this show 3 times last year when I was in the UK, loved it that much!
Just got home after seeing the show in London,absolutely amazing,you cannot beat seeing a show live,Summer Strallen leaves tomorrow,so glad we got to see her,also Tom and the whole ensemble were fantastic.
Half way through I just realise I'm grinning from ear to ear! Brilliant!

Why can't I see the show? I'll do almost anything to see this. As being a admirer of Fred ,I think this is just swell. How unfortunately, I'm not old enough to earn so much money and go to see them
Her dress reminds me of Ginger's from Cheek to Cheek song scene.
It will be based off that. Although without all the feathers falling off like they did with Gingers! You can see the feathers on the floor if you look closely in Cheek to Cheek.
I hope the tour includes the US since nothing (to my knowledge ) has been announced about a Broadway run.

Really enjoyed this. It's nice to see some old school glam on dancing shows which have become mostly trashy.
I've just read that Tommy Tune is working on bringing the show to Broadway. i hope he succeeds.
Hah, 7 years later and still nothing here across the pond. We had "Shuffle Along" off Broadway for almost a year, maybe and no good tap shows lately.....most of the crap on Broadway now is PC new shows, it seems.
I wish Broadway could have a classic musical revival every few years with some "classic" tap dancing.
And, there was a James Cagney show, Off Broadway, I think, may have been on BWay for a short time, as well. That was at least 3 years ago, I think.
Fred and Ginger are a hard (impossible?) act to follow..:)

All that's missing are the little axes. It would make the dance so good. :)
Aww yes - that is how you do tap with everyone up on the balls of their feet and clean lines. None of this awful builders boots and groucho marx walk that has crept in recently. Up up up and fill that stage.
They don't look especially gracefull.
