How to work with a head shy horse the new feed lot rescue horses day one

Our two gaited mares out of Ashboro Kill lot are out of quarantine and ready to go to work. Here is what we do with our rescues day one to asses where they are at and what they need.

Every time that horse stops to look at her, she pushes it away. That is actually a great moment, when the horse stops to look at her, to allow her to come in instead of pushing her back into running away. Missed opportunity.

She is stopping to stop and control the situation. I am pushing her because she is pushy and controlling. I say when she can come in and when she can't. Each horse is different and this is what this horse needed at the time.

Supposed to be a TWH but I will do her DNA and find out. I think she has some saddlebred in there. She is gaited.
